FFVII is the most overrated game of all time. the material system was fantastic, everything else not so much. the writing is awful, the characters are obnoxious stereotypes, and the villain's a whiny mommas boy.

playing remake on the Switch 2 right now (I got a free copy) and so far it isn't much better. Cloud went from whining emo to obnoxious douche. Tifa is still just eye candy. Barrett went from racist 80s stereotype to racists 2000s stereotype. The combat is trash. the writing and dialogue still sucks. The Roche encounters are not fun and he is obnoxious. also the pacing is terrible. Jessie is the only positive thing to come out of it.

now don't get me wrong, FFVII was never a bad game, it had enough positives to make it worth a play through. the game is just not the great thing people make it out to be, it is walking meciocrity

@NiallMitch14 I have one of their 4tb ssd in my rog ally x. Haven't had any issues. When looking to upgrade the ssd, the teamgroup ones haf good reviews from tech sites

@JohnnyMind this isn't even Gamestop being dumb. This is over worked, under paid employees not thinking because their hours for the launch got cut at the last minute and they were probably rushing to get stuff done. I speak as an ex manager who still has friends there and know their hours for the launch were cut by 50+ per store on Tuesday afternoon

Third parties have been doing this for years. On the switch alone this is how 2K has been doing most of their releases. Activision has done this with multiple CoD entries, where the disc only has a few hundred kilobytes of data on it directing your system to download the game. Other companies have done this too on Xbox and Playstation.

Hard to tell from the review but is this more like Xcom where you can at least make your own strategies to clear battles, or is itmore like Mutant Year Zero where there is a single explicit strategy you need to use to pass a battle?

I have been playing Palworld since last Friday. The game is a blast, and outside of the capture mechanics it is an extremely different gameplay experience. If the Palworld developers did lift assets (there are a few extremely similar creature designs) then TPC should do what they need to to protect their property.

Unfortunately I am finding the Palworld community to be extremely toxic. The Palworld reddit is full of people attacking Pokémon, which fine that is their preference, but then going as far as saying they hope palworld did steal Pokémon assets and that TPC has no right to defend their property. They are hoping palworld succeeds in stealing assets to force Nintendo to change Pokémon games. They also whine constantly about being victims of constant attacks by Pokémon fans, yet I have not seen a single one if these attacks.

Palworld is great, but Holy crap the fanbases is a bunch of whiny babies that are hoping a company gets away with illegal tactics (if they happened, that will be up to any courts that get involved to decide)

@KaiserGX that's what the game says, but the review specifically states you can use amiibo which is why I was questioning it. Not the kind of information that should be in the review if it is wrong.

Wait, do amiibo work? I haven't tried them, but during the tutorial the game specifically states amiibo will not work

Never played anything in the monster rancher series, but love kaiju movies so want to get this. Anyone able to explain MR gameplay to me?

From the videos I have seen, the game looks fine but the user base is a bunch of jackasses playing to intentionally screw over other people. Convinced me to skip this
