@IOI People in the comments here have been roasting the comment, what are you on about? You don't think Sony or Microsoft have their own fanboys defending every decision they've made?
@Strawblaze As opposed to Microsoft, which is laying of thousands of employees for AI gaebage or Sony that shut down Japan Studios, makes boring open world games and refuses to develop or promote anything that isn't a AAA title, even their own franchises like Patapon or Everyone's Golf? Nintendo's not perfect but I prefer them to Sony/Microsoft
@AllBLK DK Bananza runs at 60 FPS and outside of a few minor issues mentioned in previews looks like it runs pretty smoothly, outside of when there's a ton of stuff going on with the destructible environment.
Dragon Quest Builders 2 is another voxel game and it can struggle on consoles and the Steam Deck with very complex user created towns from what I've read. And like others said Knack struggled to run on PS4 too.
You're dooming about a game that literally isn't out yet because a developer said that there may be a framw drop or two during certain intensive moments of the game. And from looking at your comment history you seem to be almost entirely negative
@IOI
Seriously the game isn't even out yet and you're already thinking the game is going to have horrible unplayable performance. It's kind of ridiculous
@AllBLK The Switch 2 launch hasn't been perfect but it feels like ever since the price of it and MKW was revealed people have been looking for every possible opportunity to find the smallest issue to blow up into a big issue like the people in the comments who think the game is going to be unplayable.
@JCLKaytwo Ever since the Switch 2 Direct happened it's been absolutely nothing but rage bait coming from the gaming community and news outlet about every single thing Nintendo does. People are acting like it's ***** armageddon for Mario Kart World when the reality is most of the player base isn't going to give two *****, just like how people ended up buying Mario Kart World anyways despite bitching about it being $80. I'm just ***** tired of the non-stop anger all the time in this community
@Dr_Corndog I literally said that Nintendo should add a three lap option for players who want it. I just think it's ridiculous to now be saying the entire game is ruined because intermissions were added in Random
@Dr_Corndog If Nintendo adding intermissions to Random Online in Mario Kart World ruined it for you then you must have not liked the game all that much to begin with
I agree that Nintendo should offer a three lap option for those who want it and that there are some weird design choices that makes me think the game was slightly rushed to meet the Switch 2 launch but people are being ridiculously hyperbolic about the change
@kalosn Yes third parties are gonna abandon the Switch 2, the fastest selling Nintendo console of all tome, because ports of old five year old games people already bought didn't sell well.
@Grumblevolcano Mattick's Xbox One literally required you to be connected at all times to be able to play games. You can play your Switch 2 offline after the update.
Honestly this is why I hate the gaming community. All anyone does now is complain about everything and it's mentally exhausting
@Suketoudara They've already announced the ACA Neo Geo games are being patched to run on Switch 2 so I think the rest of the Arcade Archive games with issues will be patched as well - Hamster is pretty good about that stuff
The people complaining about the price seem to forget that Hamster isn't a big company and that they do these releases on a weekly basis. The price increase could be because Nebulas Ray is a 32-bit game and require more work to port. Honestly I'd give them my money over a lot of other companies
@HeadPirate Why would a developer take a hit with performance without Game Chat on just to make sure their game isn't laggy with game chat? You could have better performance with it orf or take a hit to use game chat
And you have no proof that the 3GB of RAM that's for System Reservation doesn't include Game Chat. The DF video didn't really even cover this topic much at all and didn't say of it was/wasn't part of the System RAM
@Oneironaut0
You can still redownload 3DS and Wii Ugame bought off their eShop, you just can't buy anything on there now.
Also, like it or not physical media doesn't last forever either. Eventually the game cards will fail and you will have loss your game. The only way to promote preserving games is through piracy and emulation
@Bunkerneath
Playstation has been using the same naming scheme for the past 30 years and it's never failed them. Also I'm not sure if non-gamers even really care about the game key cards - just seems to be something I see talked about online and nowhere else
@Medic_alert The Switch 2 version of Cyberpunk 2077 is only $10 more than tbe PS5 and Xbox Series X versions, same with Rune Factory. It's literally the exact same strategy PS5 and Xbox does with last generation games. So yeah I do think the big third party publishers are being cheap
@Teksette The problem with that argument is that Marvelous and CD Projeckt Red are releasing their games on standard cartridges - they're not small studios but they aren't as big as Capcom or Sega who could afford those cartridgrs
@PokemonDMG I meant what model Switch they had, which is a launch day Switch and seems to be the one that's been affected (I have the newer model and I tried powering it off and on again after the update - it still works for me)
@SillyG It's not Nintendo's fault that other publishers are cheap as ***** - Marvelous and CD Projekt are putting their games out on a cartridge, and those games are probably bigger than stuff like Puyo Tetris 2 and Bravely Default.
@Rykdrew You act as though Sony NEVER raises the price on their stuff even though they literally just raised the price of the PS5 Digital and Playstation Plus
People are being so freaking miserable about this launch. Just nothing but complaining about the price of Mario Kart World for the past three weeks and a crap ton of misinformarion about the system while predicting Nintendo is doomed for the hundreth time.
Meanwhile Sony does crap like release a PS5 "Pro" that barely looks better than the standard PS5 for $799 without a disk drive and continue to hike up online gaming prices and compared to the Switch 2 it's crickets
@tobsesta99 Someone literally told me they were in the Japanese chat for today's stream and most people were excited and not complaining like Western fans are. I'm not speaking for all of them
@Jam777 Literally the only people complaining about the price are those in the West. Japan is actually happy and excited about the Switch 2 and Mario Kart World because they aren't miserable like people elsewhere
@UltimateOtaku91 Why would they delay the system in North America when they already have the system on the continent? Do you think Nintendo is just gonna wait indefineitly for the trade war to end before they release it here? Plus Switch 2's are being made in Cambodia and Vietnam, which are also getting tariffed but doesn't seems to be escalating compared to China

Well the fact that you said "depending on how bad it runs" makes it look like you think the performance could be awful.
Re: Donkey Kong Bananza Director Acknowledges Performance Drops: "We Prioritized Fun And Playability"

So how did you feel about Breath of the Wild when it launched on the OG Switch and had performance issues?

He said slightly. That doesn't make me think it's gonna drop to 20-30 FPS
Re: Donkey Kong Bananza Director Acknowledges Performance Drops: "We Prioritized Fun And Playability"
God the amount of entitlement people are having in these comments regarding the performance is cringe worthy.
Were people this upset when BoTW on Switch 1 had frame drops

Yes Mario Kart World is better because it doesn't have live service garbage in it.

Until the Switch/Switch 2 cartridge dies due to them being flashed based. And if they're stolen you're screwed as well

You realize that Switch and Switch 2 cartridges will eventually die due to them being flash-based memory right?

Re: Third-Party Launch Games On Switch 2 Reportedly Sold "Very Low Numbers"
Mat Piscatella say the third party unit share of physical software is 40% while during the Switch 1 launch it was nust 20%. Also is this counting digital sales or only physical?

So if you don't use the game chat then it won't impact gameplay performance? Why is everyone complaining about it then?

Re: Switch 2 Game-Key Cards Won't Make It Easy For Physical Collectors In Japan
