Re: Poll: Which Current Generation Nintendo Soundtracks Would You Buy?

White-Wash

Already have DKCTP downloaded.. But would gladly pay Nintendo if they'd release it! Same goes with SSB4. There's money to be had here for Nintendo..

On a side note if they were to offer OST's for purchase, I think it'd be incredibly smart to include a free digital download. This would cover the remaining tracks that didn't make the cut on the hard copy/cd. I'd hate to purchase a soundtrack that had only half of my favorite tunes!

Re: Poll: Nintendo's Year of Multiplayer Gaming on Wii U and 3DS Aims to Bring Us Together Online and At Home

I know little to nothing about game development.. But man would it add a whole other level of fun to these platformers if the Multiplayer stretched beyond local. At the ripe old age of 28 most of my gaming friends have moved on with life and have left our home state behind, including myself. On top of that scheduling around a 40hr work week while trying to invite people over to the apartment during my down time is much more difficult than the glory days of childhood gaming.

Yet many of my friends are still into Nintendo. And we'd love to game DKCTP, Super Mario 3d World, and Yoshi's Wolly World together online! Maybe our demographic is too small in the gaming community to warrant any effort in making this happen.. Oh well.

Re: Super Smash Bros. Tournament Organiser Steps Down Following Allegations Of Sexual Harassment

I can't help but feel like this type of lewd behavior in the gaming community stems from a lack of social contact with the opposite sex. Not generalizing the community as whole, just the the group which brings about these problems. Certain individuals have a hard time viewing female gamers as simply another human who enjoys gaming. Granted it's a bit more complicated than this.. But in the end, at least as a community, this is what it boils down too. We're all just people looking to find other like minded people who enjoy the same pass time.

"And everything is relative, you could buy a lot of clean bottled water for what a 3DS costs. Talk is cheap, poor people love to judge purchases that exceed their account balance. Sell your 3DS and make something happen."

Love it. I was getting quite annoyed with these comments but couldn't put my finger on exactly why. You summed up my scatter brain thoughts perfectly. Although I'd stay the route of donate that $60 of yours rather than buying the next Zelda, Star Fox, or Xenoblade; seems as how it really is all relative. I know its absurd to think about but there are people out there with this type of money. Take a quick look at your own spending habits before pointing out those of another.

Re: Poll: Which is the Best Mario Kart Game?

White-Wash

The jump from Super MK to MK 64 blew my mind at the time. I'm sure a lot of it had to do with my age.. But there was space within the game, it felt vast and open, and here you were ripping through it. I was able to immerse myself, it felt real. On top of that 4 player Kart! You could have late night gaming sleep overs without anyone sharing a controller. The battle mode was intense, the whole game felt intense. The speed, drifting, new items, tracks, characters, the list goes on..

MK DD revolutionized customization, and still holds crown to this day. MK Wii was my first experience with online kart. While MK8 is one of the most vibrant, beautiful looking games on the Wii U at this point.

Re: Discontinued amiibo Figures Could Be Released In Card Form, Says Miyamoto

White-Wash

"..Shigeru Miyamoto explained that while not all amiibo figures will remain in production.."

So at some point each figurine will run its course correct? Well aside from their staple characters. That being the demand will taper off as most everyone who wanted a certain amiibo will have purchased one. But why on earth would Nintendo stop production after the first wave, second, or third? If sales are still going strong on a figurine, they'd be throwing away money for absolutely no reason to discontinue its production.

On the other hand I'd imagine the last thing Nintendo wants is a warehouse full of Wii Fit Trainers, Meta Knights, etc. that no longer sell. Once they reach that gray area of tapering demand is when I'm sure production will stop.

In the mean time why not offer another option that allows access to in game content? One at a more affordable price for those who'd rather not spend $12.99 per character. This also provides a low risk way to keep the shelves stocked for years to come. And on top of that, adds another collector option for the die hards.

I really don't understand all the amiibo shortage hysteria. Than again I don't have a degree in marketing or psychology.. In any case some of you need to chill out a bit, relax you'll get your villager. Maybe not right now, but you'll have your chance. Patience is a virtue yea?

Re: Feature: Time to Vote For Your Game of the Year Awards 2014

Wow that was difficult, between Tropical Freeze, MK8, and SSB4 It was a coin toss. I could make a case for all 3 games.

Time Spent: MK8 hands down. Although TF has solid replay value and I'm sure SSB4 will surpass all games here in the following months.

Content Amount: SSB forsure. But does quantity equal quality? With all the dlc and how solid the tracks have been thus far, I'd of given this category to MK8 if they'd of just pulled through with fixing that horrendous battle mode..

Music: Anyone whose played the game would agree TF holds crown. But the amount of classic tracks in SSB4 has always been absurd, and those top notch remixes..

All 3 games are aesthetically gorgeous. Although personally I think MK8 took the biggest leap.

Fun Factor: I haven't had as much fun with a single player experience as I've had with TF in a long time. The bar for MK8 is notched up once you get online, but man does the frustration level soar... I just can't deny there's something really special with SSB4. I can spend hours soloing the game, the online competition is endless, but the second you get a group of your buddies over for an old fashion night of smashing it really tops it all 10/10

In the end I gave it up to SSB4. Still it only goes to show the quality of games Nintendo has released this year! And I'm already looking forward to the next!!

Re: December's Club Nintendo Rewards Aim to Bring Festive Cheer

Bahhh so annoying, Super Mario Kart on the Wii Virtual Console? Is it not enough I've spent thousands of dollars on Nintendo product over the years? You're really going to force the $1.50 upgrade within a reward, especially when most of us have purchased the game multiple times before..

It's not the minuscule dent to my pocket that annoys me. It's what I'd normally view as a 'thank you gift' from Nintendo now holds a cheap money grab feel to it.
