This is clearly a game I need to demo

@SphericalCrusher Consider what pokemon is, its essentially an RPG for kids. It's still a fun game and adults can enjoy it to (as I do, but I think its mostly nostalgia reasons) but its target has and is always kids. Now kids make up a large portion of the handheld market in the west, just look around and you see kids playing DS's all the time. Amazing Kids game on a platform dominated by kids = success.

Monster Hunter is on the far other end of the spectrum which is why it does so well in japan. Portable Consoles are the "thing" in japan due to the nature of the culture, it doesnt have a large kids market it just has a large market. So if most people are playing on portable consoles it makes sense that a title like monster hunter will take off so well in japan but thats not the case for the west. The (potential) "people" who would play Monster Hunter in the west is Console Gamers

@SecondServing Is there sales numbers comparing the 3DS and Wii U sales in western markets somewhere?

@SphericalCrusher Probably should really say "successful in the west". The Western Marketing easily prefers sitting on the couch. I would say it's almost a requirement for the series to reach anywhere near it does in japan.

@Yamitora1 The Torchic was not specific to walmart, you just had to pop online for that within a time frame.

A better stat system, MH3 I always had to look up what each stat actually did rather then just know off the bat due to the way the game presents it.

Also a better lobby system

@Maelstrom It doesnt have to keep the same form factor, it literally can just be a 3DS XL without 3D for a cheaper price.

If i remember correctly though the cartridge is worth some money.

@Einherjar Because the 3DS XL just stretches the screen rather then increase the resolution to compensate for the larger screen.

Obviously improved visuals and resolutions.
Release the smaller and bigger version at launch
two sticks, none of this gamepad pro bs
More comfortable design (more rounded, shoulder buttons can be a pain due to the thing square nature).
Have a physical media slot(that can be covered) that comes with a converter(or just do a better job with VC).
No more friend codes

Im just snagging this for PC, I wanted to get it for Wii U since Ubisoft keeps talking second screens and the Wii U has one but such a large delay for such a minor possible improvement in the game is simply not worth it. By the time it comes out for Wii U it will be $30 on steam.

@Bolt_Strike Who do you think buys those games for those non drivers? Parents. Would parents not also like a perk for themselves when purchasing something for their little one? I would think so. If my option is between two games and one gives me $10 free gas, im going with that.

But the big point a lot of people seem to miss with these strange promotions is that its less the promotion the more the actual strangeness. Promotions are to market the game better, what better way to market a game then provide an unusual promotion that everyone then talks about?

@MrGawain I came late into the series so I started with DD and am now working my way through the original. While I agree the story is the big selling point, the mechanics are still a fair part of the game(and should continue to be expanded upon like more chances to fail and multiple right answers). What I really would like to see is perhaps to see a phoenix wright in a different country that has different laws which require you to think differently in your approach.

Well we know lots of Mega Man is coming, I would prefer the Zero Collection personally but thats me.

I also did not care for the "find the right door to advance" system in that kirby because you had to simply do the level over again then just turn around.

@Datasun_7 Well I dont know about others but I have a massive back log for 3DS at the present moment and even when I get through that I still have what just recently was released to play.

I will enjoy Bayonetta 2 the most as a Game, but I will enjoy Mario Kart 8 the most as an excuse to whip up a few of these bad boys with friends.

But you also need to understand that they are using this GBA and soon DS on the Wii U to just add another reason to purchase it. Right now lots of people have a 3DS and the Wii U needs help. So you entice people to get a Wii U and then down the road introduce them as on the 3DS. Also those emulations on the 3DS are very simple ones, you loose all 3DS overlay as it just takes over.

Now if you want online to actually work on these GBA games you have to not only build the infrastructure but you have to rework the game to accept it . What you guys are expected is more then just emulations, you want remakes.

@Marshi Your missing the point, we have SNES VC already. So why is it when we get GBA VC we are getting one that could of been out already. One would think we would get Topsy Turvy instead thats exclusive to GBA.

I hope minish cap is around the corner, its on that list of Zelda's I have missed.

Im so confused why the GBA Yoshi Island is what we are getting and not the SNES one.

Now if we can just have a "Take a Screenshot" function that saves the screenshot right then and there without going into Miiverse and can access it later we will be golden!

I am a huge fan of the oddworld series and I am sure this wont dissapoint, I will be buying this day 1 hands down. I look forward to the new changes from the original.

Really want Super Mario World 2: Yoshi's Island available on viritual console before I snag the new one. I never got to play the older ones.

West will always want a Home Console version of a series for it to truely take off, we need a Wii U version.
