Just been debating what version to get, 3DS seem to be more the style of this game in terms of looks and handle. But on the same note my Wii U would be good for obviously big screen and Co-op.....decisions

They sound cautious which is understandable. However with the way the market is shifting, Nintendo has an opportunity to not get stuck in the Gamecube issue again as the Wii U will be distinct enough from the Xbox1 and PS4 that its offerings will be more appealing then getting an Xbox and a Playstation.

We are seeing a wave of homogenization this generation more so then ever, which gives Nintendo the opportunity to be #2 console you purchase because there is little value in owning both an Xbox and a playstation this round.

@JustinH Yea, i wouldnt call it metroivania(i could be wrong just going off looks) but it does look interesting.

Is there any promising metroidvania style games on kickstarter?

Lobo is the most interesting out of the group, will keep an eye on it.

@allplatfrmgamer Perhaps i didnt make my point clear enough ,if not my apologies. In my Mind there is two groups, the main one(the one everyone is concerned about) is currently: PC,PS4,and Xbox one and are all competing against each other due to their absurd amount of similarities to each other. Because they are so close with such similarities this means you can for the most part consider them the same thing. This gives a LARGE drop in marginal utility because you get very little satisfaction purchasing another in the same category, thus are most likely only going to have one of the three.

This puts Wii U out in its own land not competing on the same points and if done right should come off as an attractive second console purchase as it offers the most if you already own one of the other systems.

@Pushtrak With PS4 and Xbox One being so focused on becoming PC's in terms of not only how they function but in their design, there will be less of a reason to own a PC,PS4,and Xbox One as most games available with be available on the other. At the very least said point will be further out then before due to the far fewer differences between them.

If you ask me Nintendo's goal should actually be to not compete with Xbox and PS4 in terms of similar features. PS4 and Xbox are so absurdly similar this round that at this rate one is bound to die out or at the very least repurpose itself. Nintendo needs to be seen as the 2nd Console purchase you make because the other console doesn't offer enough exclusives and build themselves into a niche position. In all seriousness the most cost effective way to get the most games is either PC + Wii U or PS4 + Wii U.

@rjejr I think the best function that could of used the gamepad for was it to simple have the Treasure Maps displayed on the Gamepad so you could reference it while still playing.

@Yukari_Sendo This is as good of a spot that your going to get to jump in. May I make a suggestion of watching some of those If insert game was a movie things on youtube to fill in the story gaps if you dont plan on playing them.

@Bass_X0 I think we are still a little early for that. I grew up with Pokemon right at that time (i was 6 when it came out). I imagine most of those who played pokemon from that time where 6-10 which would put them in to their mid 20's. Most people dont have kids early these days so if they do have a child its most likely in the toddler range at most.

Another 5 years and we will be there.

@mookysam Here is the thing. Worst Company of the year is based off of popular votes and not many people deal with all those that you listed directly so you wont associate their terribleness to them. Another factor to consider is all those that you listed are in industries we have come to expect such crappy behavior so we are numb to it.

Does anyone else when watching these videos just get angry knowing capcom does nothing with the franchise?

I really feel that these extra platform stretch goals need to be reworked as they dont inspire confidence to support the project for said console UNTILL it reaches the goal. It also gives less of a reason for others to contribute if they dont want said stretch goal once the project is funded.

Personally think there should be 3 different styles per timeline as they have seem to be doing (although i dislike A link between worlds art style). You have Cell shaded/Realistic/ and whatever you would call A link to the past

You only learn latter in the video that they will pull a "same game different characters" move if capcom does not approve.

I swear after i keep seeing more and more of these kickstarters that a small marketing consulting firm would do great focused on Indie Games. I just always feel that something is missing or information that should be right in your face is hidden and doesnt build confidence in actually supporting a project.

@unrandomsam As long as its made before 1899 you dont need paperwork to own a firearm. However im quite sure that if you buy a "new old" gun you need to get the proper paperwork.

I really wish it was online, would love to play this with people who arnt exactly close to me anymore.

@Trululu While Portal 2 was amazing, Portal one was just so much better just by the fact that it was new and interesting while portal 2 you knew what you where getting into. While still interesting i think portal 2 relied on the comedy for its greatness more then say the mechanics(not saying they are bad).

Day 1 when i purchased my 3DS i snaged a large SD card, im all set to NEVER loose a zelda game again!

I think we are starting to see Nintendo's strategy with Zelda play out a little more where we have a New Zelda followed by an enhanced older one.

should of just kept it a sleep mode function. When you hit something hard and put it down for awhile then you given a special ability to help you move past.

@jazzer94 im aware of this but that FPS doesnt drop , when you see lag in a recording its not youtube lagging. It seems watching the gameplay you see the game slow down several times , it being most noticeable right at the start with the gliding. Also it happens at the 9 min mark multiple times where you see it slow down and then smooth out again.

Is it just me or is there multiple FPS drops in the video?

I know i would love a Monster Hunter 4 Double pack for a discount if it ever comes around and makes a Wii U version. Out and about play on the 3DS, at home go to the Wii U.

@Dogpigfish They are fine games but they are not the best of the series is the point. All those i have listed have for the most part scored lower and have received not as great reviews when the "B" team did the work.

You see where i am going with this. When you have two teams there is always a B team and can you guess which ones of the list Infinity ward didnt work on? If you guessed all the ones at have an 83 or below you would be correct (it gets worse if you keep going). Not only does it show a general trend down with such frequent releases but it also shows when which team worked on what and that the B team didnt deliver as good of a game.

@Dogpigfish You see what happens when you get another developer in the past , take a look at COD or AC. Hell even look at Diablo 3 compared to Diablo 2 since Blizzard North was no more.
