Re: Feature: 5 Accessibility Features That Every Game Should Have

Troll_Decimator

Anything that follows an "every game should have" statement is objectively an impossibility and potentially a bad hot take. Not every game has to be for everyone, obviously.

  • Some games are made on a shoestring budget.
  • Other games don't have difficulty options by design.
  • Some games don't have character customisation by design.
  • Maybe some designers don't want to give you an easy way out with platforming assist, or can't implement it easily.

Maybe before giving advice to game developers, you should first improve your own articles to not be so absolute. It is a lot easier than implementing any of these features, believe me.

Re: Nintendo Switch Is Back On Top According To February's NPD Sales Figures

Troll_Decimator

@uptownsoul Because it doesn't fit their narrative this month. Maybe the supply issues are back ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚

And do note that this month saw 2 massive releases for PS5 as well, while Switch had pretty much nothing. People simply need to accept that Switch simply is the better console to buy right now. It's cheaper, it has a significantly superior library and a great form factor. An absolute no brainer.

Re: Uh-Oh, Chocobo GP's Season Pass Is Ruffling A Few Feathers With Fans

Troll_Decimator

@-wc- I don't think that is what the article is focusing on specifically. The microtransactions in themselves in a boxed retail title are bad enough on their own and completely unacceptable. I totally agree that there's nothing wrong with taking back free currency, but all those freemium currencies are nonsense to begin with. I don't play games that feature them.

Re: Metroid Dread Senior Programmer Leaves MercurySteam, Joins Call Of Duty: Warzone Mobile Developer

Troll_Decimator

@Arawn93 Guaranteed, not just likely. MercurySteam is in Spain, and obviously don't have the same revenue as CoD. Their salaries are not on the same ballpark at all, they can't compete. It's a combination of more money and just something different. 7 years working on the exact same type of game can be a bit tiresome. Gamers don't get this at all because games are not their job.

Re: Pocky & Rocky Reshrined Available To Pre-Order Now

Troll_Decimator

@HamatoYoshi It isn't about that, it's about not being the original version of the art, plain and simple. It doesn't matter if it's cleavage or a rock being shaped differently. Obviously all games have localization, but it seems like such a minor and pointless thing to change. Not that I will boycotting or even notice it at all, that's a ridiculous overreaction, but I don't like this puritan nonsense one bit.

Re: You'll Have To Pay To See Baby Yoda In LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga

Troll_Decimator

@fusermarucs Do you really think so? You see these three awful films (and their admittedly better spinoffs like Solo) creating lots of new fans? They were clearly just a quick cash-in. They are not going to have the cultural impact the previous ones did. Not even the prequels, at least those had great memes. What memes do these have? "Somehow Palpatine returned"? That's just plain dumb.

Re: AM2R Creator Isn't A Fan Of Metroid Dread's E.M.M.I. Encounters

Troll_Decimator

@BranJ0 There weren't really enough EMMI encounters to ever get annoying or boring if you ask me, isn't it something like 6 EMMIs in the entire game? I can't remember off the top of my head but I'm certainly not far off. Besides it's a perfectly valid thing to make the player feel empowered by having an enemy they could barely escape from early on become just another slightly more annoying minion. It's what RPGs are built on, and other genres with progression have this same concept too.

Re: Poll: Do You Think Pokรฉmon Scarlet And Violet Have Eye Issues?

Troll_Decimator

The new trainer designs are the best we've ever had, I always thought they looked ugly in previous versions. Not so much in game, since they were usually quite abstract/Chibi, but in artwork, absolutely. The original artwork style has not aged well in an age where you can have more definition in game than in those old art works. As for the wonky eyes, you guys have way too much free time is all I can say. Get a life.

Re: Best Nintendo Switch Strategy Games

Troll_Decimator

I didn't like Mario & Rabbids, although I'm normally a fan of this genre. Not gonna lie, mainly because I dislike the idea of Mario and Rabbids being in the same game. Rabbids are just dumb. But the pace of the game was also extremely slow and boring.
