Re: Nintendo DS Sales Figures Make Wii's Look Tiny

SunnySnivy

The DS lives on. I love my 3DS, but I have about 50 games for my DS making it my most played system. And I am still buying games! It has a wonderful assortment of games. Platformers, fighters, adventure games, RPGs, casual games, and even shooters! It has something for everyone. It's no wonder the DS has run such a long, successful life.

Go DS!

Re: Talking Point: The GBA Games You Want on 3DS Virtual Console

SunnySnivy

@Zephren

A Link to the Past probably won't happen, since we are getting Four Swords for free on the DSi Shop, and that was a part of that game. I would much rather have Minish Cap since I never got my hands on it.

Besides, a port of a port? That would suck... oh wait... Yoshi's Island... cough

Re: You Can Buy Your Zelda Symphony Tickets Today

SunnySnivy

@20 Lol, "90 year old Zelda fan". I haven't even been a Zelda fan for that long, and I would love love love to go to this. Zelda captured my heart instantly when I first played it. And yes, I play all of the retro ones.

And yeah, everyone who plays retro games is 90!

Re: Talking Point: Nintendo Makes Bold Move with the 3DS

SunnySnivy

It's madness. This whole thing is madness.

But I have faith that Nintendo will pull through this, dust it off, and move on. Once Nintendo releases Mario Land/Mario Kart, the sales will pick up and they will be back on track. It's actually quite a genius move by them at the same time. For 200$, a child can open up his 3DS with Super Mario 3D Land or Mario Kart on Christmas morning. And, since the 3DS is around the same price as the DSi/XL, parents might just say "What the heck?" and get the 3DS instead.

It's genius, but madness at the same time.

Re: Talking Point: The GBA Games You Want on 3DS Virtual Console

SunnySnivy

My list. I would happily pay for these games too. These are my favorites, or some I missed out on.

Pokemon FR/LG/R/S/E
Zelda: The Minish Cap
Mario & Luigi
Mother 3 (LOL, yeah right)
Harvest Moon
Golden Sun

... for NES the only one I can think of that I don't already own, would be Kid Icarius. (Not to mention, that would be a great marketing technique for Uprising!)

Re: If Fans Speak Up, Majora's Mask 3DS Might Happen

SunnySnivy

Majora's Mask 3D PLEASE Nintendo! I'd be a happy camper. Lots of people want it. Why not?!

A new Zelda game on the 3DS would be good too, but a remake doesn't take as much work as a whole new game, and it wouldn't delay a new 3DS Zelda that much. In fact, it wouldn't surprise me if Nintendo already has a new Zelda in the works already.

Re: Ocarina of Time 3D was Second Best-Selling Game of June

SunnySnivy

Everyone needs to give the 3DS some time. The DS wasn't exactly the greatest console ever when it was first released. We also need to consider the fact that Nintendo loves hardware updates, people might be waiting for a newer, better 3DS to buy.

The DS is selling better because of 3 things. The recent price drop in the DS Lite, the fact the there are 3 different models of the DS available right now, and a library of fantastic games. The 3DS at the moment lacks all 3 of the those. Though Ocarina of Time 3D is fantastic, most people will need more than one game to really want a console. Give it some time, it might not do well, but it might end up selling as well as the DS, though that seems hard to top. It's too soon to tell yet.

Re: Eiji Aonuma Talks Zelda Ideas and Development

SunnySnivy

"it’s not necessarily the case that we would use that graphic style or depiction the same way we would in a new Zelda, when there is a new Zelda for the Wii U."

WHYYYY. It looks so good. I hope they do use the graphics style... but as long as the story and gameplay is good, I won't mind.

Wait- are we really anticipating Zelda for the Wii U, when Skyward Sword hasn't even been released yet?!

Re: Uncharted Studio: "Wii U is Full of Holes, Nothing Sony Can't Do"

SunnySnivy

Why do people find it so hard to believe that the Wii U is more powerful than the PS3, when it's a next gen console?! Of course, the sucessor to the PS3 and 360 will be more powerful than the Wii U, since they're being released later. But again, who cares about power and graphics if the games are good?

And of course Sony is going to copy Nintendo eventually. So will Microsoft. IF, if the Wii U controller is successful like the Wii motion controls.

Re: Cave Story 3D

SunnySnivy

A definite release day buy for me. I am loving Cave Story on DSiWare. I love the old school type graphics, but it looks good with modern graphics too.

Re: Sony: Wii U is No Threat, Says "Welcome to 2006, Nintendo"

SunnySnivy

Touch screen portable gaming console? Welcome to 2004 Sony!

This is why I hate Sony, they're so full of themselves. Immaturity is just... annoying.

They can keep their "hardcore" graphics loving, FPS obsessed fan boys, but please just shut up about Nintendo and quit trying to compete.

Sorry to rant... I'm usually not like that but I'm not in a good mood today.

Re: There Will Be No Zelda 25th Anniversary Collection

SunnySnivy

First everyone complains about remakes, then everyone wants re-releases.

Is there any pleasing you?!

@6 - They can't take the time limit off of Majora's Mask... that makes NO SENSE and it would ruin the game. Like the moon would hang there endlessly until you got all 4 giants? It seems to me like the game would lose it's feel. No time limit = would ruin the game. Sorry to rant but MM is my favorite Zelda game.

Re: Super Mario 3DS Has More Thrills, Less Exploration

SunnySnivy

I miss the exploration of Mario titles. I think that's why my favorite Mario is Sunshine. There's so many things to do in that game, so many secrets. But I loved the linear path of the galaxy games as well, so I'm sure either way, Super Mario will be great!

Re: Nintendo Not Interested in Producing Free-To-Play Software

SunnySnivy

Who cares? Can't afford the games, don't buy the console.

I'd rather have Nintendo focus on long games for 60$, rather than short games for free.

Free games are a waste of time. They would lose money if they spent time working on a game and then giving it away, when instead they could have spent that time working on a great game they could sell for 60$.

Re: Wii U Won't Support Blu-ray or DVD Playback

SunnySnivy

Are you guys really surprised?

Besides, who at this point doesn't have a DVD player?! I mean come on.

Blu Ray isn't as common but I have one, and it would only make the console more expensive. For me it would be pointless. Why do people care so much? I buy a console to play games, not watch movies.

Re: Star Fox 64 3D Lands in North America on 11th September

SunnySnivy

@28 It's a date that should be a holiday, honestly. And since it's the 10th 9/11 since the attack... I don't think releasing it on 9/11 is a good idea just because some people might not appreciate it. But honestly, it's not that huge of a deal.

@29... it's been 10 years, not 11. :/

Re: New Smash Bros. Announced for Wii U and 3DS

SunnySnivy

Awesome. I'm not a huge fan of Smash Bros but I do enjoy them and will probably pick up the 3DS version. My brother is going to freak though, he's spent countless hours playing Melee and Brawl.

I love how crazy the crowd went as soon as he said "Smash Brothers".
