By now you've probably had chance to digest our Nintendo Ambassador program and free eShop games FAQ which explains the 20 free games current 3DS owners are entitled to, starting 1st September.
All 20 games will be Virtual Console downloads — 10 from NES, 10 from Game Boy Advance — but so far only half the games have been announced. You can find out which games in our 3DS eShop games FAQ, but GBA games confirmed so far are:

Fire Emblem, Golden Sun, Advance Wars, Mario and Luigi: Super Star Saga, and The Legend of Zelda: The Minish Cap would pretty much make my year. All are first-party, highly rated titles that would give the list some great diversity. I could really go for Drill Dozer, too, if they opted for it, and I'd say it's just as likely to get picked. I haven't played any of those but I've wanted badly to since they came out. Fire Emblem is my favorite Nintendo series, but I've never been able to find the first GBA one, and I've played Mario and Luigi: Partners in Time, and loved it, but haven't played any others, so that would be really amazing.
Were GBA games coming to the VC regardless of Ambassador status, I'd think they'd become to the 3DS what the N64 is to the Wii. Many more than 10 probably wouldn't happen anyway (PROBABLY, not hopefully), so this announcement is more than I could ask for.

My GBA got so little love (I was poor back then, 'kay!) so I don't own any of the currently announced GBA games. I also really want the NES Metal Gear games. But since I already have a library of GBA-games, I wish for something that I haven't played before. The Fire Emblems and Final Fantasies seem good! I wouldn't buy games that I already own (so wouldn't my friends) so my only chance of playing wireless Pokémon Ruby and Sapphire is to get it as a free download

Oh man ! Looking at that list really makes me want to have a time machine. I only got the GBA SP after Minish Cap got released on it. Glad because of the amazing look of the limited edition though. So there are so many possibly great games which I’ve never even heard about yet.
But here's five games that i don't have yet and woulrd really like to see included.
But i wouldn't complain about 99,9 % percent of the games you guys mentioned earlier. The GBA really has an amazing line up of games.
I also hope they continue with a GBA VC for everyone because there are some more games i'm very interested in.
I also wish I knew more about games like Ace Combat, Batman games, The Lord of the Rings and the special features of remakes such as Contra Advance: The Alien Wars EX , Earthworm Jim 2, Final Fantasy V & VI, Blackthorne, Kirby: Nightmare in Dream Land, Breath Of Fire games and Rock 'N Roll Racing.

I was really surprised about this news, I think Nintendo had no choice but to announce it, because of the situation they are in. But that really makes it irrelevant for me to go out and spend money (again) on a GBA SP as I wanted to play GBA games such as both Metroid games, Minish Cap (hopefully that will be announced soon), and Yoshi's Island.
Fire Emblem and Fire Emblem Sacred Stones would be enough. Although, Mario & Luigi Super Star Saga would let me have the whole Mario & Luigi RPG series. Other than that Nintendo has hit the nail on the head in terms of their revealed selections.

I definitely wanna see the hits, but more importantly than that, I wanna see the obscure games. As well as third party stuff. Stuff like

-Scourge: Hive
-Rebelstar Tactical Command (mix X-com with Fire Emblem and you basically get this, super underrated, title)
Nintendo did an absolutely wretched job securing third party titles for the Virtual Console on the Wii. Sh*t. There are NO third party games for the N64 at all! (Cruise'N USA was a weird exception. It was co-produced by Midway and Nintendo. Midway got the rights to publish it in the Arcade, Nintendo got it at home. So, technically, it's still a Nintendo game). If they don't change that, it'll suck .

I'd also like to see more Super Mario Advance titles.
But most of all, Pokemon Emerald. We need a traditional Pokemon game on the 3DS, so why not now, even if it is exclusive? Then again, I'm not sure if Nintendo would do trading or battling using DS Wireless Communications.

hopefully there will be super mario world that was a good game but I never beat it since I first played it on the wii but the the controls on the contorllers are so loose I also wanted a sonic advance those where some fun ones and I dont need to worry about yoshi island its already on the list.

A Link to the Past probably won't happen, since we are getting Four Swords for free on the DSi Shop, and that was a part of that game. I would much rather have Minish Cap since I never got my hands on it.
Besides, a port of a port? That would suck... oh wait... Yoshi's Island...
coughIt could still be they're taking out Four Swords from A Link to the Past. But it would be better to have original SNES games on the 3DS' VC instead of 1:1 GBA ports of these games. Controller layout anyone ?
