I would have no problem with getting RID of ROM sites if I had a legitimate and legal route to purchase them and play them on modern hardware.
Also, many many of the games I have downloaded ROMs for are for games I own, but I can no longer play them on my original hardware.
There are some awesome games that may be lost forever due to licensing concerns (going to use Beetle Adventure Racing and Goldeneye on N64 as examples here), and that would make me very sad.
This is absolutely my favourite site for my beloved Switch. Just a few suggestions from me:
1. Be less afraid of the lower end of the ratings scale. If a game is absolutely terrible, give it a score of 1 or a 2. It's hard to differentiate when the vast majority of games are scored 7 to 9.
2. I actually really like Alex's videos, but agree mixing it up with some guest presenters would be cool.
3. Finally, I echo some of the other comments that more focus on the smaller indie games would be awesome. You already cover more than anyone else, but if Nintendo do ramp up the output, we'll need the help!
@PALversusNTSC Personally I'd be pretty happy with the switch even if it was indies and Nintendo games.
Give it a bit of time though. I think that the success of the platform would have been noted by developers and publishers, but the difference between the Switch and PS4/XBox hardware means that cross platform game development for Switch might be a bad strategy...you don't want to flood the Switch with the same games that look and play better on the PS4 and XBox.
I think instead that you'll start seeing some platform exclusives for the Switch built on their own engines. These will take a while to build though, so unlikely to be this year.
I really liked Transformed, I think it will be a shame not to be able to fly around an aircraft carrier! I think that helped differentiate it from Mario Kart...which will always be pretty stiff competition if this presents itself as another kart game...Mario Kart 8 is pretty much perfect (or would be without the Blue Shell...grr!)
Hurrah, this is a great game, before the layers of complex mechanics were added to later versions that made the game impenetrable. I'll definitely pick this one up.
Nintendo definitely needs to bring out an official d-Pad controller though.
I'd prefer a Final Fantasy Tactics game, it gives more options for different races, classes and magic...but I'll take this in the interim, even with the obvious groan-worthy boob obsession.
@Jack_Goetz Oh no! I didn't know that. I wonder if the game is good enough to warrant it, I heard great things, but the price of the game on eBay makes your eyes water!
Not too excited by the Megadrive games, but Saturn and Dreamcast?!!
Panzer Dragoon Saga on the go would be amazing, but also the Dreamcast versions of Soul Reaver, Soul Calibur, Skies of Arcadia or aaaaaanything by Capcom...
Super excited for this, it already looks like it's running very well. Day one purchase for me. Am loving the fact that Panic Button is making such a name for itself for its work bringing such AAA titles to the switch, I'm hoping the gap between the original releases and the switch versions will start to reduce.
I loved Banjo 1 & 2 too much not to give this a go, and I've been deliberately holding off buying this to wait for the switch release.
At the moment I'm just happy that developers are supporting the Switch, and I don't blame them for setting this at a mid-retail price given the work that must have gone into porting the game to a different platform.
Rather than write the game off completely due to the price, why do people not wait for the game to go on sale?

Otherwise thanks for all the hard work!
Re: Nintendo Says Switch User Playtime Is Split 50-50 Between Docked And Handheld
Mostly handheld, unless my brother comes over and the Mario Kart or Mario tennis throwdown happens...
Re: Panic Button Boss Says Another Major Switch Port Will Be Announced Next Month
I'd love this to be Fallout! I've only just completed every last quest in Skyrim and could do with another epic quest game.

Re: Shinyuden and Ratalaika Games Announce Heroes Trials Is Coming To The Switch
Tis' a bit underwhelming! The gameplay looks as simple as the graphics.

Re: Review: Battle Chasers: Nightwar (Switch)
I've heard that this is great, glad that the switch version is also good. Now to wait patiently for the postman...

Re: Rumour: Retro Studios Is Working On A Secret Star Fox: Grand Prix Title For Switch
After Mario vs Rabbids, I'm going to be more open minded on thepotential for this, than normal...but I'd really prefer a modern F-Zero.
Preferably one just a liiiittle bit easier than the gamecube version.
Re: The Switch Port Of Bayonetta 2 Has Outsold Its Sister Version On Wii U
@eaglebob345 couldn’t agree more. A star fox zero without juggling the dual screens would be awesome.
Re: Streets Of Red Is The Latest Indie Game To Find Huge Success On The Switch
I'm really enjoying this at the moment! It's great to hear stories like this, making it obvious that the Switch the ultimate home for awesome indies.

Re: Konami's Creating A New Castlevania, But It's Not Coming To Consoles
It's so sad that Konami has abandoned traditional consoles. A new Castlevania on the switch would have just printed money for them.
Then again, should this be a gorgeous looking husk of a castlevania game used as cynical bait for microtransactions, they can keep it.
Time will tell....

Re: Sega Reveals Shenmue 1 & 2 Remaster, But It's Skipping Switch
A bit disappointed, but I do remember these games being a bit joyless, like going to work.
Also guessing they’d need a pretty big memory card in that cartridge...
Re: Retro-Style Aerial Combat Sim Sky Rogue Is On Target For A Switch Release This Month
Love the art stye, and this looks like a great game to have a quick blast on the go. I'll be picking this up.

Re: UK Retailer GAME Sees Revenue Rise Thanks To Switch, But Profit Is Down Year-On-Year
Sad, but I'm not surprised. I tried my hardest to support Game this past year because I'd really miss a retail game store on the high street...but...
1. Low levels of stock of titles on launch day (for anything other than a the Big AAA titles) meant I ended up having to order online anyway.
2. Decided to pre-order games but several times they still didn't have a copy for me when I turned up to collect ?!!!
3. Games sold above recommended retail price, where those games are available online for much less. Often as much as £20.
Re: Amazon Germany Lists Flashback: 25th Anniversary Edition For June Switch Release
@ktej75 Oh yeah, these were both awesome. I still have Heart of Darkness...pretty, but oh so hard!
Re: Amazon Germany Lists Flashback: 25th Anniversary Edition For June Switch Release
If it's the original....then TAKE MY MONEY!
If it's the remaster...meh.
Re: New RiME Patch Addresses A Multitude Of Sins On Switch
This is great news. I picked this up and hadn't got around to playing it due to the performance issues. I'm looking forward to this again.
