Haven't really played much of the arcade original, but it was one of the first games I've played on the Game Boy Advance e-Reader along with ExciteBike back when I got it in Christmas of '02. Pretty fun game. I also have Donkey Kong Clasics on the NES, which has this game and its predecessor Donkey Kong.
Good review, Drake. Decent entry to the Adventure Island series, though by no means the best. I liked the soundtrack from Yuzo Koshiro, especially this swimming song that sounds like something out of Donkey Kong Country to me. It's short, but fun; though I do confess that I have issues with it.
Fantastic game, and the box art is beautiful I played this game and the rest of the series as well as the racer Mega Man Battle & Chase in Mega Man X Collection
@ryanthehedgehog - Where's Wally (or Where's Waldo for American audiences) was a series of childrens' books where you would try to locate Wally (Waldo) in each of the books' pages. That's easier said than done, because the pages are cluttered up with myriads of people, so you'd have to pay very close attention to each page in order to locate him. On a side note, I've always thought it was known as Where's Waldo in Europe as well. Guess not.
Regardless, Mega Man X3 is still quite a difficult game; the final boss Sigma was a total monster in that game (I can still recall it vividly, though I only beat the game once).
I still think Square-Enix should release SoulBlazer and the rest of the Enix line-up of games to the VC, but it is nice to see that they're going to bring Chrono Trigger to the VC.
Yeah, I really don't understand why Capcom emulated the PlayStation version of Mega Man X3 to the Mega Man X Collection instead of the SNES original (unless it was to show off the FMV cutscenes).
Mega Man X is not only my favorite game in the X series, but also my favorite Mega Man game of all time. It's a really good experience, and the secret weapon is really cool. Awesome soundtrack, too; first Mega Man title I've ever beaten. Also, Chrono Trigger's fantastic as well.
The first Super Adventure Island game is decent, though I do have several reservations for it. I love Yuzo Koshiro's soundtrack in this game, and the visuals are quite nice.
Last Resort is fun and decent, but oh so difficult; but not Magician Lord-difficult, thank goodness!
Are you happy with Final Fantasy VI, or are you just glad that Square can now potentially get to releasing some more Enix games?
The latter, one thousand times the latter!
Final Fantasy III/VI is a good game (I played the Game Boy Advance version), but I got to a moment in the game (quite far, too) where I was very unprepared and ill-equipped and couldn't get any further because I was dangerously low on health restorative items and very low on health so I had to start the game over again
Glad to hear that Adventure Island II for the NES is going to be released to the Virtual Console someday. I have the Game Boy port Adventure Island, which I just beat for the first time today.
When this article came about two days ago, it made me a bit sad (after I saw some users' comments regarding whether or not these games would ever come to the VC). I'm over it now.
The Lost Vikings is one of the best games ever made, imo. Action/Platforming + Puzzle Elements + Challenge + Humorous Dialogue = Classic! I'm sure hoping it gets released on the Virtual Console someday.
As for the other Quintet/Enix titles: I think it's about time Square-Enix started releasing them, pronto!!
RocketKnight Adventures is a game that I've long been interested in. That, and its two follow-ups (both the MegaDrive and SNES ones). I never experienced those games before, but I heard great things about them.
I would import the Parodius compilation on the PSP if it weren't for the fact that it's expensive on eBay (well, not too expensive, but I cannot afford it atm).

@mariofanatic128 - I'm sure it was
A classic.
Re: Donkey Kong Jr.

Re: Review: Chrono Trigger (Virtual Console / Super Nintendo)
Great review, Corbie. One of the greatest RPGs out there, and one of SquareSoft's best (alongside Secret of Mana).
Re: Kirby's New DS Game Has a July Date with Japan
Sounds intriguing, I can't wait!

@LosAngeloTip - nope, Thunder Spirit and the Thunder Force series were developed by Technosoft
Re: Chrono Trigger Rated, North American Release on the Cards
Nice!!
Re: Review: Mega Man X (Virtual Console / Super Nintendo)
I thought Mega Man X2 and Mega Man X3 had good music.
Re: Mega Man X
@BassX0 - before the banner was changed to what it is now, it was the Japanese version Rock Man X's box art, and that's why he had asked before
Re: Review: Mega Man X (Virtual Console / Super Nintendo)
Great review, Corbie. I concur, this game is "X-ceptional"; a 9 well-deserved!
This was the first ever Mega Man game I've ever beaten, and I love it!
Re: Nintendo Download: 18th April 2011 (North America)

Chrono Trigger, good game

Good review, IncognitoD. The game looks pretty good, and judging from your review it sounds really good.

Well, this was quite unexpected!
I have it for the DS. Chrono Trigger's one of my top favorite RPGs.

Re: Nintendo Download: 18th March 2011 (Europe)
I'm happy for Europe.
Re: Super Adventure Island
I often find it interesting how Master Higgins' mouth is shaped like a hook.
Re: Features: The Game Gear Games We Need on 3DS Virtual Console
Tempo Jr. looks very good, from the screenshots I've seen on the MobyGames website.
Re: Super Adventure Island II
I heard good things about this sequel, and I also heard that it's a lot better than the original Super Adventure Island. I'm interested.
Re: Master Higgins Has Not One But Two Upcoming Virtual Console Games
I like Super Adventure Island, though I think it has some flaws, imo. Yuzo Koshiro's music here is really good.
Re: Super Adventure Island
The first Super Adventure Island game is decent, though I do have several reservations for it. I love Yuzo Koshiro's soundtrack in this game, and the visuals are quite nice.

Good review, Dave.

Happy anniversary, Link.
Re: Bomberman Hero Gets Rated for Virtual Console
Is it really that good?
Re: Hudson Continues Its Virtual Console Support with Adventure Island II
Glad to hear that Adventure Island II for the NES is going to be released to the Virtual Console someday.
I have the Game Boy port Adventure Island, which I just beat for the first time today.

Re: 3DS Virtual Console Will Be Available on Launch Day
There's a score rating for the game while your in the 3DS Shop Channel?
Re: Review: S.C.A.T.: Special Cybernetic Attack Team (Virtual Console / NES)
@Wolfenstein - Forgotten Worlds was released a few years before this game came out.
Re: Review: S.C.A.T.: Special Cybernetic Attack Team (Virtual Console / NES)
Good review, Drake.
Re: Review: Pucca's Kisses Game (WiiWare)
@JumpMad - no, it didn't. Pucca debuted on TV back in late '06 and the show ended sometime in '08.
Re: Nintendo Download: 4th February 2011 (Europe)
@Ω - glad I'm not the only one who sees the resemblance.
Re: Nintendo Download: 4th February 2011 (Europe)
I'm still reminded of Forgotten Worlds whenever I see the screenshots of that game.
Re: This Upcoming WiiWare Game is Absolutely Pucca
@JumpMad - Pucca didn't exist until 2006, and it was played on TV; you must be thinking of something else.
