Whoa! There's a big difference. Apple's kit is over-priced because hipsters still pay the premium. The Neo was an absolute beast at the time, the SNES and MD simply weren't on the same playing field. Even the Saturn needed memory carts to replicate some of the more detailed Neo games, it was only by the time of the DC and PS2 that the conversions were anything like perfect. I had one for a while when they were around ten years old, and even then, it was a tremendously impressive piece of kit. Ahem, please carry on all
The standard ones are absolute ass. The wireless on I have drifts uncontrollably, and the wired one is just really cheap with crappy sticks and a terrible d-pad. Not impressed by them at all.
I'm always curious about anything with 'Arcade Racing' in the title. And I'll at least have a look at that Tekno Tanks thing. I remember getting my first iPod Touch and there was an absolutely brilliant Bazztlezone rip-off called Vektor Tanks, that took the Atari game and turned everything up to 11, then got buried. Always hoped to see something like that pop back up.
Looks kind of nice, almost Amiga-ish. I'll be picking this up. Now hurry with Liquid Kids, Raiden, The Newzealand Story, Rastan and Rainbow Islands please!
No it shouldn't happen, but it's gone on since the dawn of gaming. I remember OutRun on the Spectrum advertising with mocked-up screenshots, Sinclair User reviewing a version of Nemesis that only existed as a single-level demo if at all, and the less said about Zzap 64 and Operation Thunderbolt.......
It didn't used to be so bad. I had a Neo maybe 20 years ago - my most expensive purchases were Waku Waku 7 at £250.00 and Metal Slug 3 at £150.00. I had some 25 carts, and the most expensive of the rest only edged three figures. Had to get rid of it, think I got around £2500.00 for the lot. To depress myself, I worked out what it's worth now. A deposit on a decent-sized family house, or a new car.
Collectors market. Absolutely guaranteed to sell several hundred units at approx £450.00 to the hardcore Neo collectors. If they can afford to hold a few back until it becomes really scarce, even better.
I'd kill for Project Justice. I'd gone off fighting games by then, but still sunk an ungodly amount of hours into the Dreamcast version. Fantastic game.
there has been a patch, I'd be lying if I said it was now perfect, but it does seem much better than before. I presume the demo will also be the latest version, maybe give it another spin?
Honestly, it's been massively over-stated. To most, there's next to no issue. To those playing at a really high-level it's noticeable, but even then there are some good scores/clears up there.
Think Koch Media, who released the stick, actually negotiated for those rights though rather than Capcom. They've never shown any interest themselves, I'd be really surprised to see it TBH. The Street Fighter Anniversary and Belt-Scroll collections would render themselves pointless if any of their remaining games were to appear, so I'd rule those out. Black Tiger, Tiger Road, Last Duel, Gun.Smoke, LED Storm, 1943 Kai, Side Arms, and some of the Darkstalkers are probably best candidates.
I've just deleted Risky's Revenge. Spent about two hours playing it and it simply failed to engage me at all. No knockback on collisions is a horrendous mistake in a game such as this. Too much talking, poorly signposted goals, wasn't a fan of the plane-switching. I've started Iconoclasts straight afterwards and it's so much better it's not even funny.
@Nintendo_Thumb You're reaching massively. Each of these games is an iteration that builds slightly on what came before it. Yes, they all have their own little things, but they're still pretty much interchangeable to the average gamer. You can pick up any Mario Kart (bar the original maybe), put some time in, and feel right at home with literally any other game in the series. I'm not saying that's a bad thing, but it makes a mockery of the idea that F-Zero needs some sort of hook to make it worth bringing back.
I'm that guy that still thinks the original is the best of the bunch. Still fire it up every few years for a run through 'Master' difficulty. I'd rate GX close behind though, if any of them truly lacked something special I'd say it's X by this point.
Given the quality of the wired one I already own, no chance. Having just picked up a Wii U, I'm also shocked by just how much better that machine's Pro Controller is than its Switch equivalent.
Same, I was expecting a bunch of low--effort SNES ports, to see both the SNES and MD versions, and the definitive version in there with widescreen and varying zoom levels was a huge surprise. Iv'e had my money's worth with that one game alone, so the addition of two new (old) ones is just another bonus.
Yeah, I'm into this. I'll have to see what the DLC packs contain, if there's a substantial enough single-player experience I'll probably spring for the lot. Pac Man CE DX is one of my favourite games ever, but the sequel was overly-complicated and a bit of a disappointment.
Anyone that loves beat-em-ups and hasn't played Double Dragon Advance is doing themselves a massive disservice. Absolutely brilliant, far better than the arcade versions.

I don't get it. it looks ugly and doesn't suit the visual style at all.

Re: Talking Point: Is It Worth Buying A Nintendo Wii U In 2021?
Mine's modded to hell. Two dozen Wii U games installed on a hard drive, Nintendon't, and a massive RetroArch build. It's brilliant.
Re: Reminder: The Entire Shantae Series Is Now Available On The Nintendo Switch

Same, compared to stuff like Hollow Knight, Monster Boy, Iconoclasts etc Risky's Revenge just isn't in the same league.

Re: Nintendo Download: 22nd April (Europe)
I'd expect Arcade Archives A-Jax/Typhoon, as that launched in Japan yesterday. One of Konami's more average shooters TBH.
Re: Konami España Hints At More Switch News To Come
@ZeldaFanboy78
Oh god yes. The GBA / DS games in one package - that's me sorted for summer.
Re: Talking Point: Is "Cheesing" A Legitimate Strategy?
If you're beating my ass on any Street Fighter, I'm still going to go for the old jump kick in / force block / throw. Count on it.

As opposed to all the wildly imaginative Mario Party / Kart / Olympic / New Super games they pump out on a regular basis now?
Re: Mini Review: Future Aero Racing S Ultra - Clever Ideas, But FAR From A New F-Zero
I paid about £1.50 for it on Xbox, I've had around that amount of fun with it I'd say.

You don't need to 're-invent' F-Zero pal. Give us a GX HD remaster, and a sequel with new tracks. Job done.

Amen my friend. This is up there with Capcom's best belt-scrollers for me. Hopefully we won't have to wait too long.

It's similar in some ways - showing its age but still solid enough. If you liked Renegade, you'll get your moeny's worth from this for sure.

One of the better ACA shooters, pretty forgiving for a coin-op.
