Opinions are like etc.... I still think its tight, and different enough from later stuff to be well worth a few quid. In fact, I'll be springing fir the JPN version later.
Sorry to hear that. Yeah had my eye on this for a while now. The minute I saw a screenshot of the 2D racer I was sold, but everything I've seen looks to capture a sense of time and place beautifully.
@Ventilator Eh? There's the retail Turrican Flashback, which contains 1, 2, Mega and Super, hardly bad value at 20 quid? Then there are the two Anthologies that have been held up for bug fixes, score attack modes, in-game maps etc. Probably not as good value unless you're a big fan, but still decent enough There's nothing been cancelled.
Because they've consistently mislead backers of their previous project, and have launched another Kickstarter to fund the first? Screw these guys and their blatant Ponzi scheme.
@yuwarite I'm not on board with the OP's sentiments anyway. I'll pirate if something isn't made available for me to buy. When it is, I'll buy it. As I'm intending to do later with the Tiger Heli port, even though I already have it on my dodgy box.
Some right dross there. Raiden would have been an insta-buy, but I got bored of waiting and picked up the US version for the same price months ago. Picked up the DLC for Horizon Chase Turbo though, base game was brilliant.
Namco are porting their own titles, that have been ported to death. Hamster are securing licences to titles that have never been made available on home systems before, so I think their prices are pretty reasonable.
Nice, at that price I'll take a look. It's also astonishing how many games have screen filters, scanlines etc, but don't let you see how they look in real-time! R-Type Dimensions was particularly aggravating with this.

Re: Nintendo Download: 7th April (Europe)
I'll be picking up Slipstream and Pac Land. Still mulling physical fir HotD.
Re: Virtua Racing-Inspired 'Formula Retro Racing' Speeds Onto Switch This April
Got this on Xbox. Its not bad, but the number of laps it makes you do is tedious, it's severely lacking in options.

Looks like OutRunners. I'm sold.
Re: Arcade Genre Mash-Up 'Super Mega Zero' Launches On Switch This Month
The art got me right in the nostalgia glans, I'll bite.

Re: Out Run-Inspired Retro Racer 'Slipstream' Drifts Onto Switch In April
Definitely one for me.
Re: Wonder Boy Collection Is Coming To Switch This Year
@Funneefox
Same. Now April, apparently. Even worse, I ordered both collections only for the Flashback comp to be announced a month or so later!
Re: Tempest 4000 Brings Its Neon Insanity To Switch This Spring
@Specter_of-the_OLED
Hahahaha, I suspect not.
Re: Wonder Boy Collection Is Coming To Switch This Year
I've got all these already between Ages and X360 I believe?

Sorry to hear that.

Re: Feature: 'Arcade Paradise' Dev On Animal Crossing And CoD Influences, And Its Toilet 'Boss Battle'
Already pre ordered physical. Don't do that often, but can't wait for this.
Re: Classic Coin-Op Thunder Dragon 2 Blasts Off On Switch This Week
Oh good, another shmup to rip me a new one.
Re: Nightdive Brings '90s FPS PowerSlave Exhumed To Switch This February
Great game. On Saturn. On PS, not so much.
Re: Review: Vagante - A Roguelike Too Empty To Make An Impact
@amrikudou
Between the Eurogamer review and your comment, I'm all over it.
Re: Nintendo Download: 13th January (Europe)
@Kayvoo
Absolutely. It's a slightly less balls-hard take on the Raiden formulae that straddles traditional and bullet-hell really well. Good stuff.

Re: Nintendo Download: 13th January (Europe)
And sigh Gunnail on Arcade Archives, possibly one of its best vert shooters yet.
Re: Out Now: Radirgy Swag Unleashes Vertical Shoot 'Em Up Action On Switch
That looks incredibly busy. One for a sale I'm afraid. Not like I'm short of shooters at the minute.
Re: Dead Cells' Biggest DLC Yet, 'The Queen & The Sea', Is Now Live
I've got a hell of a year this year.... This and Hades to start, and Isaac DLC. Goodbye life.
Re: Best Of 2021: 'Arcade Perfect' Be Damned: R-Type DX Is Still Portable Perfection
Spectrum port was amazing in the day. Better than this, I thought.
Re: M2 Is Bringing Yet Another Classic Shmup To Switch Next Year
@XE77
They will. They're doing every Toaplan game.
Re: Bub Is Back! Taito Is Developing A New Puzzle Bobble Game
They've still never beaten the second game for me. Later entries added too much stuff and got a bit gimmicky. Also it looks horrid.
Re: Sega's Astro City Mini Is Getting A 'TATE' Version Packed With Shmup Goodness
Bakraid and Batrider? Sold.
Re: Arcade Paradise Will Play On Our '90s Nostalgia Next Spring
Ordered. Absolutely stoked for this

It's a better game anyway.
Re: Taito's Action-Platformer Liquid Kids Is The Latest Arcade Archives Release, Available Now On Switch eShop
Great game, hopefully more Taito to come.
Re: Nintendo Download: 2nd December (Europe)
And of course one of the best Arcade Archives titles yet with Liquid Kids.

Hoping my standard ships soon, looking forward to this.
Re: There's A $5,000 Reward For Anyone Who Can Find These 'Lost' F-Zero Tracks
One of my favourite games ever. I'd love to play these.
Re: Another Taito Game Joins Hamster's Arcade Archives Collection On Switch
Be having this without the usual emu test drive. Late 80s Taito is a no brainer.
Re: Hamster Adds Another Namco Title To Arcade Archives On Nintendo Switch
@NinChocolate
Fun, slightly janky but fun
Re: Limited Run Games Announces More Physical Releases For Switch, Pre-Orders Now Open
Nope. Over priced tat.

Re: The Horrifically Brilliant Mega Drive Shmup 'Gynoug' Is Coming To Switch
Really like this, needs to be put straight on hard though. And the soundtrack.... Opening theme still gives me chills.

If it's like Tiger Heli, the home ports come as DLC.

Re: Horizon Chase Turbo Honours F1's Ayrton Senna In New 'Senna Forever' Expansion
So, to buy the expansion for Switch, or see if the main game is discounted at all on PS4/5?
Re: Poll: Which Sega Genesis / Mega Drive Games Should You Play First Via Nintendo Switch Online?
Done to death now, not interested.
Re: Arcade Archives Publisher Hamster Has Filed A Trademark For 'Console Archives'

Namco are porting their own titles, that have been ported to death. Hamster are securing licences to titles that have never been made available on home systems before, so I think their prices are pretty reasonable.
Re: Circuit Superstars Is Out Now On PC And Xbox, 'Coming Soon' To Switch
Like the look of this, but will probably pick up on Xbox.
