Re: EA: Frostbite 3 On Wii U "Not Impossible"

Smitherenez

@Yorumi Yeah, I do understand that I mean the internal confusion at EA. Some say they won't make games, some say they will support the wiiu, others say frostbite will not work on the wiiu and someone else claims that it will work. Maybe using the word confusion was not a good choice?

@pntjr That games' multiplayer is awful, but the gamepad use is great. We need more games that make proper use of the gamepad. Nintendo is not using it in their new games at all. SM3DWorld uses it, but in a dumb way. The other games just use it for off-tv play or maps, wich is disappointing.

I do not agree with him completely, Nintendoland is a game that really shows off how different and unique the WiiU is. But I guess he means that there is no game that even casuals can pick up and play with ease and shows of unique the machine is. Also, looking at the current game lineup for the WiiU, Nintendo is not even using the Gamepad in revolutionary ways. Just having off-tv play or a map does not justify having the gamepad Nintendo, I want games with the asynchronous multiplayer!

Re: Talking Point: Nintendo's Curious Decision to Monetise StreetPass

From the information that the game gives me, these games look well fleshed out and very enjoyable. It has a lot more interactivity going on in it and it is a real step up to the previous (free) games. I might buy the bundle as soon as I start studying at the university, I will be getting many hits while riding the train

Re: Time: Nintendo Is "Stumped" By The Wii U GamePad And Should Ditch It

Smitherenez

I was thinking the same: Why isn't nintendo using the gamepad for other things then Off TV play? The only nintendo games that really make use of it's features, like asynchronous multiplayer, are Nintendoland and Game & Wario. I don't think nintendo should ditch it, it's an awesome device with awesome possibilities, but why doesn't even it's creator bother to implement it better in it's games?

@Melkaticox I said that this will be the first pokemon game that I will buy (myself). I have never done that before, because I don't like the older games. I have borrowed Ruby once from a friend and I just could not get into it. I have played one of the DS games too for 4 hours, and I just could not get myself to continue playing it. This installment seems to adress the problems I had with the older games, and thus I am interested in giving the series another go.

Re: Poll: Which Wii U E3 Game Has Impressed You the Most?

Mario 3D World did not wow me at first, I do like it now. MarioKart8 really surprised me! I did not see that gravity aspect coming and the graphics are great too! Smash Bros on the other hand looks like an HD version of brawl. X looks great too, but I want to see some fighting and want to know something about the story before jumping on board with it. DK didn't surprise me either, I knew it was coming thanks to the rerelease of DKCR (3D). The other games where games we already knew about. I do find it strange that Yoshi's wiiu outing is missing at the E3.

Re: Nintendo "Feels Good" About How It Stacks Up Against Sony And Microsoft

This summer and this fall, my wiiu will collect dust. But as soon as Wind Waker HD comes out, the wiiu will be getting awesome games every month, just like the 3DS. And now that I think about it, even for this summer we have some games that I like for the wiiu (but games like Pikmin do not interest me at all), but I will spend most of my money on the 3DS this summer.
