@whitespy12 Yep. That's what I've been saying around the net for the last few years That said, there's definite graphical glitches that occur when the games are upscaled.
@andrew20 The Ambassador games were terribly done. They had sound and graphical glitches up the wazoo and they couldn't go into sleep mode when you closed the 3DS. That's why.
@rushiosan I think you underestimate the amount of work that needs to be done for it. For Link Cables, constant connections were necessary. A slight break would kill the connection. For Wireless, you need to allow for the dropping of packets transmitted and received.
@Rensch You can blame that on the removal of localisation wait times. When going on about releases of Pokémon games, you should go by initial launches to determine patterns.
@NintenBo That's not what the image said at all. All that image was to represent is how it will be 20 years since the original. The image has been taken out of context.
@Tulio517 I admit, I'm not that big a fan of Generation III, but the stuff it brought to the fold was amazing and so easy for people to forget that it came from this generation
I'd like to see the source of their 95% market share claim. It's not true of games, it's not true of anime, and the Yo-kai Watch merchandise sales are down 75% on last year so I want to see what they are on about.
@Pod That's not true. There was no game in 2011. Due to the fact that localisation times got cut from ~6 months to nothing, we should always use the original date.
@bro2dragons It's because it's not out in arcades yet. For them to announce the home console port before it's in arcades would anger the arcade owners. It's how Bandai Namco do things
@Sakura There is actually a cool use. In the game, with the Move Tutor you can only teach Pokémon moves that you have obtained from Toy Pokémon in-game. These password Pokémon almost all have rare or powerful moves which opens them up for you to use.
@Sanicranfast Yeah, it seems that it's set for the Top 10% of each bracket. In the last one, Europe had around 100,000 entrants, North America around 200,000 and Japan had around 500,000
@No-longer-postin Yeah but now people have to update if they want to continue to get events etc., and that involves having to update the system to get onto the eShop
@Kit We're not 100% sure shinies are increased on it yet, but the amount of reports are hard to ignore. When you approach a Pokémon, you get a silhouette as seen in the screenshots rather than an image, so you don't know until the battle.
@ZenTurtle The concept of events is to go somewhere for something, and you get the Pokémon as a bonus. Distributing solely online would be counter to this idea. Not to say we don't get them here and there, but it's the concept and The Pokémon Company wish to continue that.
@Kaze_Memaryu It's because these Pokémon are Mythical Pokémon. They aren't meant to be found in gameplay. They are designed and meant to be distributed in events.
I doubt the Mythical Pokémon (Mew, Celebi, Jirachi, Deoxys, Phione, Manaphy, Darkrai, Shaymin, Arceus, Victini, Keldeo, Meloetta, Genesect, Diancie and the others) will be included in this.
Thankfully, you can complete your National Pokédex without those Pokémon.
Really though, this is nothing new. They always do this. When FRLG came out, you could then get all Pokémon between RS and FRLG. When HGSS came out, you could then get all Pokémon between DP and HGSS. When B2W2 came out, you could then get all Pokémon between BW and B2W2 (with help from the Dream World).
@BLPs This patent is just them registering the process that they used for NFC in Pokémon Rumble U. Every single thing about it is identical to how they run it. However, as that wasn't a much used game, people jumped on this news as if it was a breaking thing.
While they may use the contents of the patent again, what it's for already exists.
@BlatantlyHeroic It has nothing to do with my "mindset", it has to do with me knowing Pokémon, the userbase of Pokémon, the fandom of Pokémon and the demographics of Pokémon.
@BLPs, I'm not saying the Wii U doesn't need it, I'm saying that, even if it was doing well, it'd be a horrific business decision. It would have a massively inflated budget and, due to the removal of a core aspect of Pokémon, would have severely diminished sales. It's also not Nintendo's decision. While they own part of the franchise, they don't control the direction of it. That is done by Game Freak and Game Freak are the ones who have decided that, based on how Pokémon is, it will forever remain handheld for the main games. It's how the franchise is designed and a large part of why it sells.
Also, there has been nothing about a Conquest sequel other than a producer saying it would be nice.
@BLPs That's easy. It'd have an incredibly increased budget, for a game that, even if the Wii U was selling well, would sell far less than its portable brethren.

Re: The 3DS Virtual Console Pokémon Titles Won't Support Restore Points
@Michael_JF It's most evident when you play Yoshi's Island, especially on scrolling levels. Native resolution it's fine (except sound) but standard...
Re: The 3DS Virtual Console Pokémon Titles Won't Support Restore Points
@andrew20 The Ambassador games were terribly done. They had sound and graphical glitches up the wazoo and they couldn't go into sleep mode when you closed the 3DS. That's why.
@InternetBowser Local only.
Re: Garchomp, Braixen and Mewtwo Will Join the Fight in Pokkén Tournament
@SmaMan None of them do, no.
Re: Pokkén Tournament Will Feature 2-Player Local Multiplayer
Thing is, the way this game works, it wouldn't have been able to be on one screen for two players
@Miles_Edgeworth difference is this is just one small battlefield with two characters in. Hyrule Warriors could have hundreds on both screens at once
Re: Events: Gotta Bach 'Em All: A Night Out At Pokémon Symphonic Evolutions
It was so fun

Re: Amazon Lists Pokémon Red, Yellow And Blue At 10 Bucks A Pop
@rushiosan Because a lot of work had to go into the development of the link cable emulation. Do the developers not deserve to be paid for their work?
Re: Amazon Lists Pokémon Red, Yellow And Blue At 10 Bucks A Pop
@Lizuka No they aren't. They're getting unique physical versions of each for 1365 Yen a piece, that's more than $10 and on the eShop it's 1111 Yen

Re: Nintendo Badge Arcade is Pinned Down For a 13th November Release in Europe
@manu0 There are over 3,000 badges (they aren't stickers) in Japan
Re: Nintendo Badge Arcade is Pinned Down For a 13th November Release in Europe
I've spent ~£30 on getting the Pokémon badges in Japan. Over 160 Pokémon badges exist in Japan (http://www.serebii.net/games/badge/).
There's over 3,000 badges total so far in Japan. It rotates daily with new panels coming in every week from various Nintendo franchises.
@FragRed No. He said that to Japanese investors. This has been out in Japan for a year.

Re: Pokémon Developer Game Freak Acquires Smartphone Development Studio Koa Games
@CrazyMetroid It's really not. Check Nintendo's financial releases. It lists it just as 32%
Re: Pokémon Developer Game Freak Acquires Smartphone Development Studio Koa Games
@amiiboacid We know they own a small part of Creatures Inc., though there's no evidence to say they own any part of Game Freak.
Re: Pokémon Developer Game Freak Acquires Smartphone Development Studio Koa Games
@CrazyMetroid You're incorrect. Nintendo only owns 32% of The Pokémon Company. Game Freak and Creatures Inc. own the rest

Re: CoroCoro Magazine Posts More Images Of Mysterious New Pokémon
Also worth noting that CoroCoro said questions will be answered in their next issue.
@ZenTurtle It's not. This is totally new, probably in the next games
Re: Pokémon Jukebox Arrives For Free on Android Devices in the West
@Jenraux Not quite. Nintendo, Game Freak and Creatures co-own Pokémon. Nintendo owns the Pokémon trademarks. Nintendo don't own Game Freak.

Horde training can get you done in a stat in 6 battles which, with animations off, can take all of 2 minutes.
A single Super Training session lasts that.
