Mario Maker and Xenoblade for me, for sure, then I'll probably get Yoshi's Woolly World to play with my girlfriend. I haven't seen enough of Devil's Third or Fatal Frame, but there's a chance I pick them up as well.
I'm not feeling optimistic at all about Star Fox or Mario Tennis.
I despise amiibo. I understand the appeal of wanting to own collectible figures, even if it's not something I desire.
What doesn't make sense, though, is that Nintendo games are getting gimped now in hopes that you buy overpriced toys. I'm all digital, I'm trying to ELIMINATE plastic excess from my house.
This amiibo phase might honestly be the most frustrating time for me in my 20 years as a Nintendo gamer. I really hope this software dilution doesn't last much longer.
Along with the stuff we already know about, I expect:
Smash DLC (with Ryu and Wolf)
Paper Mario Wii U (more similar to the first two games, but with some unnecessary twist)
Animal Crossing Wii U (expanded online functionality)
Pokken Tournament
Golden Sun 4 (this is a bit of a reach, but it'd give the 3DS content, and we don't know what Camelot's up to)
Bravely Default 2 footage
I'd love a new F-Zero and Metroid, but I'm just not going to predict it at this point.
My top three remaster choices (from Nintendo itself anyway):
F-Zero GX (best racing game ever, IMO) Super Mario Sunshine (far from my favorite 3d Mario game, so it stands to have the most to gain) Star Fox Assault (love the premise, just need better controls and balancing. Throw in some online multiplayer, and this could be great)
1. Majora's Mask 2. The Wind Waker 3. Ocarina of Time 4. Twilight Princess 5. Link Between Worlds 6. Skyward Sword 7. Link's Awakening 8. Link to the Past 9. Oracle of Ages/ Oracle of Seasons 10. Minish Cap
Impressive. Every time I lose interest in the game, some piece of news brings me back in. I'm not convinced I'll like the core gameplay, but they've certainly nailed the fanservice in Hyrule Warriors.
1. Pikmin 3 2. Mario Kart 8 3. Donkey Kong Country Tropical Freeze 4. Legend of Zelda Wind Waker HD (would be higher if it weren't a remaster) 5. Rayman Legends 6. Super Mario 3d World 7. Sonic & All Stars Racing Transformed 8. Nintendo Land 9. Assassin's Creed IV 10. New Super Mario Bros. U/NSLU
I think Nintendo needs to continue using gimmicks with their handhelds. It needs something for it to stand out from its smart phone competition. Nintendo was banking on 3d, and while I enjoy the effect, I don't think it makes enough of a difference.
Also, I prefer digital media, but it's still soon to drop physical media support completely. The next handheld will need a presence on store shelves to be seen amongst the sea of smart devices.
It seems impossible at this point, but someday, I'd love for a Nintendo console to get the same third party support as other systems. It'd truly have everything you could want.
As for me, I have Steam and a 3DS. Expand the Virtual Console, push indies and bring on the AAA Nintendo Wii U video games. That'll be enough for me and my limited time.
I'm a tad confused. Is this going to just be remixed areas of the previous missions, like the first DLC? Or are these arenas entirely new to Mission Mode, based on the Campaign?
I just don't know about this game. I like the painting mechanic. I like that it's trying a new, nonlinear structure. But is it getting rid of the item progression I love?
It's also retreading the same overworld, a severe disappointment. One of my favorite parts of every Zelda is checking out new locations. I like Link to the Past, but don't hold the same affection for it as others do. The art style doesn't seem to be up to snuff with the rest of the series, either.
Still, it's got a lot of potential. I'm excited to see what people think of it.
This score makes sense to me. The game has aged horribly. I've tried pushing through with save states and a GameFAQs guide, but it's just SO grindy. Good for all of you that like this game, but count me in the group that says 6 is totally appropriate.
It's on sale for 7 bucks right now, so I finally took the plunge. I've played the 3DS demo before, so I had a vague idea of what to expect. It's a bit too simple for my tastes, but for the amount of content I'm getting, it's worth it.

Re: Review: Mega Man Battle Network 3 Blue & White (Wii U eShop / Game Boy Advance)
I've never played a Mega Man Battle Network game before, but I'm interested. Is this the best one to try first?
Re: Ronimo Games Explains Pricing for Swords & Soldiers II
I've put over 200 hours into Awesomenauts, so I trust Ronimo. I'll probably download this.

Calling it now, the finals will be playing SNES Remix, which will be available to everyone at the end of the competition.

Re: Feature: HD Remasters That Would Be Perfect for Wii U
I own all of those but Eternal Darkness (which, truthfully, I'm not that interested in).
A F-Zero GX remake would probably interest me the most if they threw in online functionality.

7. Link's Awakening
8. Link to the Past

Funny pic, though
Re: The Wii U Version Of Super Smash Bros. Will Utilise The NFC Nintendo Figurine Platform
Horrifying news. Keep NFC away from Smash Bros.
Hopefully this is just a minor, throwaway feature.

Re: Super Mario Bros. 3 Is Warping To North American Virtual Consoles On April 17th
I never played Superstar Saga, but I've heard nothing but good things. I'm excited to play it.
I liked Advance Wars Dual Strike, so I'll pick up Advance Wars.
And even though I've played through them, I'll get Super Mario Bros 3 and Golden Sun.
Great month, Nintendo. Let's keep releases at THIS level...
Re: GBA Titles Super Mario Ball And Pac-Man Collection Rated By Australian Classification Board
With Nintendo's catalog, I don't see why they aren't releasing at least 3 Virtual Console games a week.
1 NES/SNES/Genesis
1 N64/GCN/Dreamcast
1 GBA/DS/Saturn
Re: Dutch Developer Ronimo Games Working On Swords & Soldiers II For Wii U
I really like the original.
They should bring Awesomenauts to Wii U!

Re: Nintendo President Satoru Iwata "Has Earned The Right To Fail", Says David Jaffe
Smart words from Jaffe. You can't function afraid of failure... or else you insist it'll happen.
We need out of the box thinkers like Iwata in positions of power to see continued change in the video game industry.

Re: Aussie Rating Reveals The Title Of Nintendo's First Free-To-Play Effort

One of the worst games I've ever played.

Re: Nintendo "Would Like to Enrich" Its Virtual Console Lineup
We need far more Virtual Console games released per week, and more supported systems.
In addition to the consoles Wii supported, let's see Gamecube, Saturn and Dreamcast. And please, allow these games to be shared between 3DS and Wii U.
Re: First Impressions: Stardust Amazoness

If I have Revelations on the 3DS, is there any reason to get it on the Wii U? Is there split screen Raid mode?
Re: Review: Wii Party U (Wii U)
Yeah, if this is around $20 on the eShop, I'll get it there. Otherwise, I might pass on this one. Not sure I need another controller...

Capcom should give a nice discount to Wii U owners.

Re: Classic Retro Titles Coming To North American eShop Later This Year
Nintendo needs a unified account system so badly. There's no reason my NES and SNES games can't be exchanged between systems.
