I thought the 1.5GB was the flash memory on the carts and I was gonna be disappointed since the DS uses 1GB (usually) and with the new graphics and technology, 1.5GB would be filled far too easily.
I rather liked this one, although not as much as Adventure. Honestly, I never had a problem with the on-foot levels. Some of the tank parts were mediocre but overall I liked it. (I hated Command but thats a different story.) Good review, hits the points well, but I'd give this a 7/10 or maybe a 8/10, been a year or two. (I'd give Adventure a 9/10 btw.)
I really hope that this title turns out well. Excluding the Rogue Agent shamefest title of the five years ago, this is the first time the title's been seriously re-evaluated and I hope that it's transitioned well to modern FPS-ness while retaining what made the N64 title a classic. Hope it has polished splitscreen and online too.
Launch title or not, this looks like "musthave" is written all over it. Very impressive tech, this is the kind of stuff that makes CAPCOM one of my favorite companies.
@Bensei-yeah, see, thats why I put SPOILER. good going. @Bass XO-i find it very unlikely that they will address the biggest issues I had with AAI in its sequel sufficiently enough that I enjoy it. But I guess we'll see.
lol I'm the only wellknown winner of the contest. EDIT:although i checked the profiles and not as many are as "new" as some assumed. I won't be around my Wii until next weekend, hope thats not a problem.
Expensive week for WW, owch. And none of them look like they're worth the hefty price. I mean, if you need PT, dont buy a "game," go lay down the real dough for the real stuff.
2000 points for a game that needs a physical object or two? Sounds like it should be on a disc. I also hope this doesn't lead to more 2,000 point games.
Just echoing what tbd and Phoenix...Aran said, Investigations was a huge disappointment. It wasn't necessarily a bad game but it mostly fell apart after the first half of the game and from then on was a struggle to complete. Coming from someone who's played the first 4 games countless times through each, its not a direction I wanted mirrored and certainly not back to back. I for one will NOT buy another AAI game and sorely wish that PW4 or even AJ2 was the title instead.
@WTG-from what i know, he left in 1998, before Banjo Tooie, COnker and Starfox Adventures were out. So the company had hardly yet "gone to s---." As for there being no ay this is worse than Rogue Agent, I'd have to agree with you there. That's the only Bond game I've played from the last 8 years that I disliked.
XD is right and quite frankly, it seems to have been a wise decision on Nintendo's part in hindsight. RARE has been fairly terrible to barely adequate in the last 8 years.
VC release would be nice, as a disc release seems pointless unless there's some serious upgrades, features, etc. I do hope it finds its way here in one form or another though.
I love aiming for Trophies. It gives me an extra set of things to try and accomplish after beating a game.
Example: Just going for high scores in Rock band is boring. Trying to 5star every song because there's a trophy for it, or trying to Perfect (no-misses) 3 songs in The Beatles for a trophy is a lot more engaging, at least to me.
So it would be nice, but needs a unified profile, which really, is even more exciting. Because Friend Codes suck.
Thanks for the review, but I think the flaws mentioned are enough to keep me from trying this out. I really don't need another game where I beat levels and then the game sometimes just says "look at my mistake, you didn't beat the level now, hah ha!"
Interesting. I go tto say though, I think it's too soon for that photo caption. It's like saying "Aeris dies!!" 2 months after FFVII came out. It's okay to say now, but Shutter Island's not even 6 months old, yeah?

Re: Classic Mario DS Games Get Reprints at Toys 'R' Us
Reprints are always great but I'll stick with bargain shopping, none of those are worth full retail IMO.
Re: European Club Nintendo Members Invited to Wii Party Event
The hair-orr, the hair-orr!
Re: Nintendo Download: 24th September (Europe)
Mystic Quest huh? Might get it depending on the review. And if we get it over her. That little detail.
Re: Japan's Limited Edition Wii Points Cards are Enviably Cool
So frickin' cool. Of course, I buy points with my card now, not in store. But I might if we had these.

Looking forward to that much-hyped announcement day.
Re: Watch Out for this Nine Hours, Nine Persons, Nine Doors Bonus
@fishman--I looked on esrb.org, and its mostly rated M for "Strong Language", although it also has blood, violence, and drug/sexual references.
Re: Nintendo Download: 20th September 2010 (North America)
Highlight is definately the VC title, yay.
Re: Watch Out for this Nine Hours, Nine Persons, Nine Doors Bonus
Intrigued by the game, but not the pre-order. I'll get it on my own time, as usual.
Re: Nab a Life-Size Samus Statue on eBay
Yeah, shipping is 95 pounds, which is roughly $125+ in addition to the statue itself, but it IS really cool. My gf would kick my if I got that though.
Re: Itagaki Makes Curious Remark about Nintendo's Next Console
I predict Holiday 2012 for the WiiToo. We'll see but that's my guess.
As for Itagaki, Idk really. I lost a lot of respect for him during that scandal and then he left his main team (Team NG.)
Re: Rumour: Sadness Still in Development With Update by the End of the Year
@graveheart agreed, i want all those titles to come out/be localized for NA. ANd Captain Rainbow, lol.
Hey, I'll hold out a lil hope for this title. But I'll believe it when I see it.

Looks like I'm importing.
Re: n-Space Interested in Bringing Geist Back from the Dead on 3DS
Much more positive response than I expected, didnt know anyone liked the original, which got meh to bad reviews for the most part.

Do want. I'd give $30 for the game and the soundtrack.

Re: Pokémon Black & White to Explore New Territory
It can look different and have different pokemon, but its still probably going to be the exact same game.
Re: Capcom Releases Ace Attorney Investigations 2 Screenshots
As much as I'm against this game (as I didnt like it as much as thew others in the series), that shot of Edgeworth and SPOILER is pretty interesting.
Re: Jedward: The New Face Of Nintendo UK
Wow, yet another group making WAY too much money with WAY too little talent, if any.

Ah damn. An Ace Attorney game is always welcome but this is the sequel I didn't want.

Not a bad week, but nowhere near great either. I'll always appreciate when we get a VC though, all things considered.

Re: Original GoldenEye Designer Suspicious of Wii Publisher's Eye for Gold
Hollis-hasn't done anything meaningful in recent years, lashes at company related to something he worked on years ago.
Rare-hasn't done anything decent in recent years, tried to make Nintendo look bad recently related to something they worked on years ago.
It's like he's still working there!
Now all he needs to do is anger any remaining fans he has and he's in!
Re: Nintendo Download: 7th & 8th September 2010 (Japan)
My God, I would jump for joy if the Shin Megami Tensei games were released on our VC.

Re: High Voltage Software Has 3DS Ideas That "Break The Mould"
Good at technology, yes. But their games are only solid at best, never groundbreaking in design, really. And...i still want Animales de Muertes.
Re: Ivy the Kiwi? Contest Winner!
@theblackdragon-I'm aware, that joke needs to be used with every contest.
Re: Ivy the Kiwi? Contest Winner!
Note to the editor: there's a spelling error in the sentence declaring the winner. It's spelled "Objection_Blaster."
Re: Buy Ufouria If You Want More Quirky Virtual Console Titles
I'll prolly pick this up next time I'm on the shop then...
Re: Review: Ivy the Kiwi? (DS)
Thank you last paragraph. Answered my Q of which system to go for.

Re: Nintendo Download: August 23rd (North America)
Finally got Ufouria, yay. Decent update is decent.
Re: Bask in the Supernatural Aura of this Ghost Trick Trailer
Definately getting, as an AA fan and a fan of the genre.
