Re: Review: Super Mario All-Stars 25th Anniversary Edition (Wii)

Objection

I think everything that needs to be said about the game's value or perceived lack therof is over and done. I do wish the review or even if the reviewer commented here, talked about the one thign added: wiimote control support.

I for one am not completely satisifed with the controls there and am thinking of trying to get some classic controllers on the cheap. Anyone else who bought this, have an opinion? I'm curious to know everyone's thoughts.

Re: Review: Super Mario All-Stars 25th Anniversary Edition (Wii)

Objection

Hey, it says right on the box what it has. If thats not enough for you, then don't get it. It was for me, though. (Its $21 to download all this, so better graphics and junk and a real copy for 30 is fair.) As for comparing it to Sega's Collection, that may have had a lot of games and content but this one actually has GOOD games on it. Hey-ooooo~!

Re: 3DS Game Cards Could Reach a Mighty 8GB

Objection

Btw, there ARE a few DS carts that go up to 2GB, like A.S.H. and one other (both Japan-only IIRC.) But for the most part, DS uses the 512MB mentioned.

Anyway, first game to fill the 8GB? Ace Attorney Vs. Layton. Don't like my guess? Overruled~!

Re: EA: Nintendo Needs to Drop Wii Price, Help Third Parties

Objection

A price cut to $99? Are you [insert insult and or ridiculous comparison to a monkey here] That's marking it down 50% off what it is right now. Sure,Ninty might go to 149 in the middle fo the year but they'll also probably stop including 2 games with the system like they are right now.
I understand why he said 99, to compete with Move, which is 99, but move is not a console. Its 2 peripherals and a game. And Kinect is 149, so matching that [insert comment about how huge it was and how disappoitning it was to play in that Wal-Mart with the smelly employees] is sufficient for Nintendo. If they even need to, they did quite well this season selling Wii's and DS's.

Re: Feature: Slipped Disk - The History of the Famicom Disk System

Objection

Very nice and interesting article ona a syetm I've never thought much of (because, y'know, it was never available here.)

Just a stylistic question, is it more common in British English countries to write article with a "said Dillard" format versus the "subject verb" more commonly seen in American journalism? It was just a random thing I was thinking about while reading.

Re: Review: Mix Superstar (WiiWare)

Objection

@jp- no, there's an in-game store that you buy stuff directly through, same as other WW games with DLC. Theres 9 packs out/coming soon from what I remember, going for 200-500 points each with a couple hundred new loops/whatever in each.

Re: Reggie Wonders Where Metroid: Other M Sales Went Wrong

Objection

People still go to G4 for reviews? Silly.
I have to agree that Metroid, outside of the fanbase and the knowledgable, just doesn';t have the market recgnition as Nintendo's other brands. I think that by itself counts for a lot against it.

Also, that detrimental and WIDELY-publicized save file bug didn't help matters.

Re: Nintendo Expecting Consumers to Buy Ho-Ho-Hardware This Christmas

Objection

At the same time though, I think this is the last holiday season the three are going to see really strong hardware sales. Microsoft and Sony might even see a hit in expectations for either their console or their add-ons (Move and Kinect) since consumers might be intimidated from buying both in a similar time frame. I myself already have all the systems and I have a feeling that most gamers by now have most if not all the systems they plan on getting for this console generation. Time will tell, of course.
