Played all the games, and I don't like the fact they returned to the sticker aesthetic. Sure, some of the scenes look nice, but they lack the timeless quality of 64 and TTYD.

They can't just keep leaning on something from eight years ago. Either tear it down, or make it look like the first two games in HD for the fandom.

I was hoping "return to form" meant also the art style would take inspiration from the 64 and GameCube entries.

I feel like Nintendo purposely left out details about how the battling worked for fear that it would work against the initial reaction. The Color Splash reveal laid it all out there, so the downvotes came in like a storm because we all knew what it was going to be. Still played the game, granted, I was disappointed with the purchase other than the quality of writing which has remained intact throughout the whole series.

So yeah, I'm very conflicted with this trailer and definitely not over the moon for it. Ultimately, I need more details.

Not entirely mad at this. There are too many games in the backlog that I've been neglecting that it literally hurts to think about.

Ok, so the Wii stuff is minor. How about the N64 leaks, can we still expect something major to come out of that? What about the 2TB of data the guys received?

@ThanosReXXX Yeah, it is crazy how it can run those big AAA titles on just 100MB of ram, but that's probably Nintendo's superior optimization for their games.

@ThanosReXXX On my Ouya it works fine though and that thing has like 1 gb of ram. But the Wii has significantly less, so that's probably why.

@ThanosReXXX I just tried the latest Not64 from their Github, ran Mario Odyssey 64, and it runs poor with sound distortion and the pitch is altered significantly. Perhaps if you tried it, you might get better results, but it's not working well for me.

@ThanosReXXX I find that the rom hacks don't run great on Wii, like Mario Odyssey 64.

@brunojenso Yup, it's basically the same conceptually as the game Celeste that stamped your file if you used assist mode to help you out. If you want to do it legit, you don't use assist mode to avoid the stamp.

The thing about cheaters in AC is that they post their stuff on social media to spoil the game quickly for everyone else. If they just time travelled quietly offline, it wouldn't be much of a deal.

AC cheaters, like all cheaters, ruin the game experience for everyone — in this case, it's when their efforts are posted to social media to boast. It's a different kind of passive aggressive cheating, perhaps not as unethical as cheating in an online shooter, for instance. But we have seen time travelers have real life implications for the game, such as the recently reduced monthly interest in the Nook ABD. And this change affects everyone, whether you time travelled or not...

Is Ash still 10 years old after all these years? Should he have a beard by now?

Does this update the game to 1.2.0a? Or, just 1.2.0.

@Strictlystyles I will always call time-traveling in AC cheating. It's inherently not wrong, but it is cheating.

@TheNewButler I mean, I think COVID-19 was a factor that probably increased the amount of people who bought the game. People have more time on their hands and AC just happened to come at the right time.

How long does it generally take to catch one of these?

@brandonbwii First time I've heard of EA Originals... unfortunately, many of the titles that I expected to be on there were not on there.

Scalpers only exist because people actually buy their high prices. Stop caving in to scalpers, and there will be no reason for them to do it.

Melee is still numba 1 for me. Rose-tinted nostalgia glasses on, but who cares... I love my GameCube games.

I'd get back to Wii Sports Club Wii U online if a lot of people decide to go back.

@nessisonett It just sounds way too good... if they just said ONE Mario game, I'd maybe be on board. But it's multiple titles in the same year that we've been wanting forever. That is just godly unheard of...

@Alpha008 I played Super Mario RPG after playing TTYD and 64 and thought it had comparable quality. I want a Super Mario RPG probably as much as a Paper Mario back to its roots.

Track record aside, let's just say he got extremely lucky with his previous predictions... then why not just go for an extremely idealized thing that Nintendo fans have been wanting for YEARS. Just to create the hype for something not going to happen.

Way too good to be true. New Paper Mario in 2020, are you serious?? Ninty never released anything in the Mini, so you'd have to announce it and release it rather quickly.

Good Job! is surprisingly fun, but I've mainly been playing Animal Crossing.

It's a stupid stipulation, and a pure cash grab. Hope this doesn't become a trend.
