Team Xbox might be busy preparing for its next-generation of gaming, but that doesn't mean it's necessarily forgotten about its old pal Nintendo. Its official Twitter account recently shared two custom designs for the latest Switch release, Animal Crossing: New Horizons. One is a shirt and the other is a jumper.
Green Reflection: MO-XCYX-Y869-W0DG, Open Box: MO-C4BP-868N-M37G
Surprisingly, this isn't the first Xbox-related Animal Crossing story we've heard before. Just last week, our sister site Pure Xbox shared a story about an inspiring gamer who was able to play Nintendo's latest Animal Crossing entry thanks to Microsoft's Xbox Adaptive Controller.
Will you be trying on the above designs? Leave a comment below.

Aww, that’s nice. Hopefully Sony will share a nice one with the classic PS logo!
@nessisonett best joke, you win!
Now if only Sony can join in and enrage those anti-competitor fanboys some more...
@Entrr_username BuT THe Ps4 ISn’T hANdHELd
I've always respected Microsoft
@nessisonett typing like that is the lowest form of internet humour. Devoid of any effort.
@Coach_A Do you have any idea how time consuming that is on an iPhone? With autocorrect on as well? Hell, it probably took you less time to write yours.
Love Microsoft's approach to social media and publicity recently. Just a lot of fun and cool to see!
It's nice how Xbox plays nice with others
All a ploy to advertise Microsoft on Nintendo platforms...

@nessisonett So you put in more effort for a less intelligent comment?
Why bother? Those comments are the equivalent of schoolkids making an annoying voice to mock others by repeating what they've just said
@NookMiler well, it got me Cuphead and Ori on Switch.
@Coach_A “Those comments are the equivalent of schoolkids making an annoying voice to mock others by repeating what they've just said”
I think that’s the point, like, exactly the sentiment that style of writing is meant to imitate. Anyway, let’s not be so angry about inconsequential things.
@NookMiler
Yes but not sarcastically why do you think they wont port Banjo to Switch? Don’t be gullible MS isn’t in the business to be friends.
And yet Nintendo wouldn't return the favor. In fact they'd issue DMCA takedowns.
@SalvorHardin
Other than the obvious answer of trying to get Nintendo fans to buy an Xbox to play Rare Replay, Rare Replay has a few hurdles to get over if it was to get a Switch port (XB360 BC and rather large file size).
Throw in a Master Chief helmet and then we'll talk.
@SalvorHardin I think that there's a completed build of Rare Replay for switch already. Phil Spencer wanted DKC 1-64 and Diddy Kong racing on the Xbox in exchange for Rare Replay on Switch complete with those games. Nintendo is hesitant on the idea, but is thinking about letting it happen (Hints of this seep through with Wonderful 101 on PS4). That's also the reason that we've yet to see DKC on SNES online, they want to wait in case they decide to put DKC on Rare Replay.

I've said it before and I'll say it again - the console wars are dead, good riddance!
@ATaco
Well microsoft is promoting its brand via nintendo switch. Looks like a return favor to me.
In the near future i see both of them working more together, maybe with a streaming service.
At that time hardware is not relevant anymore.
I see it happen within 8 years.
Microsoft will help nintendo to set it up.
This isn’t being nice. This is trying to gatecrash the party for some free brand advertisement. Sly dogs
@Coach_A why are you such an emotional drama queen? Did they run out of your favourite pink nail polish?
@TNLGUY please stop being a idiot
@Deathwalka
Are you insinuating a homophobic, transphobic or sexist remark with that comment?
Considering you've so heavily genderfied the statement and implied negativity associated with the feminine traits of nail polish it's clearly one of the three.
@Noid Sony will never stop being obsessed with killing Nintendo. They spent billions since the PS1 and they still failed. It's their Vietnam war.
how do I buy using the codes?
@glaemay Failed? They made the best selling console of all time, how is that failed?
See, that right there is the reason why I always buy Nintendo AND Microsoft consoles. I simply enjoy parties that play nice and complement each other.
@Deathwalka you sure got me.
Well played
Hey Microsoft, there's a handful of "outdated" last gen games you don't really need to cling to anymore, you could give us some Switch ports of Halo 1-3 and Reach and Fable 1 and 2.
I'd pay good money for them!
@Deathwalka let’s not do that please.
@teixeiras You have the Able Sisters yet? There's a kiosk in the store in the upper right corner of the store; that's where you go to input the codes that Team Xbox posted. (Note: You have to have a Nintendo Switch Online subscription.)
@Eel I’m sorry.
@Iacobus not yet... that's why :/
@RPGamer Nope, @Coach_A was not overreacting; @Deathwalka 's comments were bigotry, pure and simple. Which makes Deathwalka a bigot.
...I mean I'm not gonna lie, I kinda like the green one
@alexybubble source?
@clvr I wasn't saying that anything was happening, I was just putting out my opinion on the matter of more MS on switch. It just makes no sense to me for Microsoft to stop now, considering what Phil Spencer has been trying to build with Xbox since he took over. In his eyes, Xbox is an ecosystem, not a brand, and he wants as many people to be invested in that ecosystem as possible. Why else would he have greenlit first party games on Steam? He wants the Xbox to be the console for PC gamers, and he wants the switch to be the Xbox handheld, where you can play the last gen first party hits, causing people to buy a Series X to play Halo Infinite after playing the Master Chief Collection on switch. At least that's how I see it.
Yikes! What happened to the comment section on this article? I feel like I'm on IGN.
@MasterJay Well they failed to kill a company hundreds times smaller than them, Nintendo is still thriving.
@glaemay You don't have to destroy your competition to succeed, just do better than them
@MasterJay Sony entered on the market to specifically kill Nintendo though. To this day they failed.
