Re: Nintendo Switch Finally Surpasses PlayStation 2's Lifetime Sales In The US

NintenGuy

@Edu23XWiiU imagine ignoring all of the sources on the wiki that the pulled quotes are cited from and attempting to move the goal post in a weak attempt at a bad faith argument. Imagine flip-flopping your numbers & dates when you get called out on blatant lies. Imagine complaining about me using ign as a source and then yourself using ign as a source that completely contradicts your own argument. Imagine having to resort to insults & name calling when you don't have a leg to stand on in a debate. That's how everyone knows you lost. Toxic fanboyism has no place in the gaming community. Do better & be better if you can. 😆✌️

Re: UK Charts: Nintendo Can Be Proud Of Its Last Christmas Before 'Switch 2'

NintenGuy

@Edu23XWiiU These comments & level of Fandom are toxic to the community. You don't have to hate on things to make you feel better about the stuff you like.

@Edu23XWiiU did you say the same when Breath of the Wild won? Nintendo must have paid huh? The hate in your heart will prevent you from even trying great games like Astro Bot. That's really sad.

Re: Nintendo Switch Finally Surpasses PlayStation 2's Lifetime Sales In The US

NintenGuy

@Edu23XWiiU You are woefully misinformed.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/PlayStation_2
"By 31 March 2012, over 155 million PlayStation 2 units were sold worldwide"
"Discontinued Worldwide Jan 4 2013"
https://sonyinteractive.com/en/our-company/business-data-sales/

As I previously said, Sony last reported PS2 sales numbers in March (31th) 2012. They were at over 155 million at that point. They stopped PS2 production in Jan 2023. Nearly a year later. Also IGN reported that PS2 sold over 160 Million months ago. Jim revealed it on a Podcast. Some people just started raging & playing mental gymnastics when Sony finally confirmed it a few weeks ago.

https://www.ign.com/articles/playstation-boss-jim-ryan-reveals-ps2-sold-160-million-units-worldwide

"On 29 March 2024, Jim Ryan (CEO of Sony Interactive Entertainment) stated on the Official PlayStation Podcast that the PlayStation 2 had sold over 160 million units worldwide. This statement was not corroborated by Sony directly until nearly eight months later, with this figure appearing on the PlayStation 30th Anniversary website on 26 November 2024"

So Edu23XWiiU if you're going to make bold statements bring receipts. Looks like your info came from out of someone's behind. Lol!

Honest question. Did you just make up that info to push some odd Sony hate narrative because you want Nintendo to "win" or are you just repeating bad info you got from some echo chamber forum? It's clear you didn't even do the simplest bit of research.

Re: 'Switch 2' Is Projected To Be The "Clear Winner" In The Next Console Generation

NintenGuy

@kevinm360 by your 3DS numbers thats a 50% drop off from the DS's 154 million. That's not good. Considering 3DS launched at $350 and they had to slash the price to $160 within months. They never recovered. They did well, but that huge drop off from the DS to 3DS along with Wii U's failure is literally why they consolidated there console & handheld divisions. That's how we got the Switch.

Re: Those Switch 2 Leaks "Might Be Legit" According To A New Report

NintenGuy

@VoidofLight True. The share button was probably the least used thing on Switch. I'm just thinking of a way to take that to another level. It would need a forward facing camera for that to work. I see livestreaming is so big now especially to the younger crowd.

I understand. I know a few people got enjoyment out of it. I think most people are just tired of useless gimmicks. There is a reason they were canned.

Re: Nintendo Switch Finally Surpasses PlayStation 2's Lifetime Sales In The US

NintenGuy

@Edu23XWiiU What makes you think those numbers are made up? The last time Sony reported PS2 sales before this year were in
March 2012 (155 mil). They still produced PS2's for a year after that. They were only $99 at that point too. People also ignore that IGN had PS2 sales at 159 million way before old man Jim made the 160 million announcement.

Re: Those Switch 2 Leaks "Might Be Legit" According To New Report

NintenGuy

@VoidofLight Oh those. Lol! I was happy when they were removed. Street pass was a novel gimmick that people eventually turned off to save battery life & Miiverse quickly turned into a toxic echo chamber. The best part of the Switch was that it focused purely on games. I hope those lame gimmicks stay in the past.

Probably more social media & streaming integration. I can see a camera/live dedicated button. Kinda like on PS. Since that's so big now a day. It would make more of an impact with a portable.

Re: Round Up: The Reviews Are In For The Sonic The Hedgehog 3 Movie

NintenGuy

I liked the Sonic movies way more than Mario. The acting, humor and mix of real actors made them a lot of fun to watch. Jim carry is perfect as Eggman. Jean Ralphio as Sonic is too good. Watching the Mario Movie in theaters was the worst experience I ever had at the movies. A bunch of 30-40 year olds that just wouldn't shut up. I could bearly hear anything. I did see it when It came on Netflix and it was a solid movie. Just didn't have the heart that Sonic did.

Re: Those Switch 2 Leaks "Might Be Legit" According To New Report

NintenGuy

@VoidofLight the leaks tell you about the specs. I can't post them, but you can easily find them & apparently the leaker is a trusted source. I have Switch games I haven't even opened and will not rush out to buy a incremental upgrade. I actually respect that they are taking the NES to SNES approach. Just stronger, refined and not forcing any more lame gimmicks. Plus still no D-pad is crazy.

Re: Nintendo Switch Online Expansion Pack Release Date And Pricing Revealed

NintenGuy

@InkIdols I actually respect people that voice their issues or b****, b****, b**** like you say. Way more than the ones that worship companies and just bend over an take it. That's the bah, bah, bah sheep mentality.

@YusseiWarrior3000 The Switch doesn't have voice chat. Your Phone used for the app has voice chat. LOL! Fail!

@bigheadwillie I haven't paid more than $30 for PS plus in over 5 years.

Re: Review: Cruis'n Blast - An Arcade Racing Icon Returns In Spectacular Fashion

NintenGuy

@TheGrizMan
The guys you replied to roboshort & Solomon Rambling were talking about getting the game if it reviewed well as a whole. Did you even read that? Nintendo life isn't the only place people get reviews from. You gave a blanket statement that it was "reviewing well". A 69 score aggregated from multiple sources isn't reviewing well. It may go up or plummet more in the coming days. Who knows. They have the right to wait on scores to determine if they want to purchase. Why does that bother you?

I personally buy games based on what I think its worth to me. I'll pick this up when it's $20 in a few months. Metroid Dread is worth the $50 at launch to me.
