
We have the latest UK boxed charts and it's mostly a familiar tale this week, with FIFA 23, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, and God of War Ragnarok all claiming the top three spots.
Nintendo retains strong representation however, with Mario Kart 8 Deluxe climbing a spot to land at number four, followed by Pokémon Violet, Nintendo Switch Sports, and Pokémon Scarlet.
Square Enix's latest release, Crisis Core - Final Fantasy VII - Reunion made its top ten debut this week, coming in at number eight. The RPG spin-off performed particularly well on PlayStation, making up a total of 82% of the sale split across the PS4 and PS5. Switch accounted for 12% while the Xbox made up the final 6%.
The final point to note is that Just Dance 2023 Edition reentered the top ten this week, selling an impressive 87% of its split on the Nintedo Switch. That's a lot of plastic boxes going to waste!

Not surprised Crisis Core was mostly PS, the physical Switch version was £5 more expensive than the other versions meanwhile the FFVII Remake trilogy as far as we can see is permanently PS console exclusive.
It deserves it. It's a good game and if you haven't yet, pick it up.

Gah, I need to buy Crisis Core. But dang it Square, I still haven't got around to buying Diofield yet. Slow down lol!
This Reunion after playing i can tell is Remake level
GTA V is at #31 btw and was #24 the previous week.
Do I need to play FIFA64,08,09,10,11,12,13 14,15,16,17,18,19,20,21 and 22 before 23 to fully understand the game? Or shall I be brave and dive straight in? Or shall I stick with ISS64? Or shall I save my pennies for FIFA54? Decisions like this are the worst!
Shouldn't be surprising that over 80% of Crisis Core Reunion's sales are on PlayStation considering how close Final Fantasy is to the console, as well as the fact FF7R is a console exclusive.
Obviously FIFA would be on top, people have the soccer fever right now and quickly forgot the slave labor involved in their silly little game of footyball (the real one obviously, I doubt EA has stooped THAT low yet).
@Grumblevolcano It could be the Switch port that's the best seller. Yes the game is more expensive but it's easier to find than the other two versions and it offered similar experience to the original PSP version and the new versions.
I've gotta be honest, I thought that I would get it on Switch for the PSP-likeness, but after seeing that performance comparison they shared, I couldn't NOT get it on my PS5 instead.
I've never thought of myself as a "frame rate elitist," but dang when I could have three times the resolution and double the frame rate for the same price I can't justify 50 bucks for the Switch version. Especially when Remote/Cloud play is so common nowadays, I can still play my PS5 copy on the go. Now my Switch is just the Smash Bros machine.

Great week for Switch software in general. Crisis Core looks good on Switch, still plan on picking it up myself.
@Serpenterror the Switch port of Monster Hunter Rise, is the currently the best selling third party game on the console.
After prolouge, I died on first mission. Is it supposed to be hard or am I getting old? Both?
Crisis Core was really great in PSP, mostly it held back cause of the terrible screen, looked much better in PS Vita but now its even better!
Have to say I thought Crisis Core would have done better on Switch.
Be curious for the Fifa split, the Switch version appears to be selling very well on Amazon UK.
I think it would be a good idea that for any multi plat games in the top 10 that NL detail the platform split in these articles if the information is available, even just the Switch percentage.
