Re: Feature: Call Of Duty On Nintendo Systems - A Brief History

MonkeyNinja506

I was gifted World at War on the DS for Christmas one year, despite not being a COD fan. It remains the only COD game I've ever owned, and honestly, I'm not kinda proud of that fact. I had initially figured I would return the game, but against my better judgement I gave it a shot, and found it to be an unexpectedly solid experience. The graphics were basically on par with a PS1, and the controls took some getting used to, but it was otherwise a decently fun time.

Re: Poll: What Did You Think Of The New Zelda: Tears Of The Kingdom Trailer?

I have been getting giddy thinking about all the possibilities that Fuse might allow. Like, can I fuse a keese eye with a spear and then throw a homing spear? Or what about a homing boomerang?? What even happens when you shoot a korok-leaf arrow? What would happen if you fuse an arrow with a piece of meat? The UI seemed to indicate that you can fuse a weapon that has already been fused with something else, so what kind of limits are there? How many long sticks could I fuse together? Could I put a boulder at the end of a super long stick?
I honestly cannot wait to get my hands on the game now

Re: Best Nintendo Switch DLC

MonkeyNinja506

Smash Ultimate had the height of DLC in my opinion. You can't go wrong with Banjo-Kazooie, Joker, and my personal favorite, Sephiroth.
Next best DLC has got to be Mario + Rabbids DK DLC. Really hoping that Sparks of Hope's Rayman DLC can live up to the high standard they set

I gotta say, I'm surprised by the effort that seems to have been put into the trailer. I was expecting a simple reel of gameplay with exciting music, possibly not even from the game, just generic Nintendo marketing fluff. But they gave us a proper trailer for Metroid Fusion. Whoever was in charge of putting it together: you are seen, and you are appreciated.

Re: Poll: Six Years On, Which Was Nintendo Switch's Best Year So Far?

MonkeyNinja506

2017 is going to be a tough year to beat for me personally. BotW and Mario Odyssey are a killer 1-2 combo, but then there was also Splatoon 2, MK8D, SteamWorld Heist and Dig 2, and Mario + Rabbids: Kingdom Battle.

Though I must admit, if TotK lives up to the hype and 1 or 2 other Nintendo games turn out to be great (Pikmin 4?? Maybe??), 2023 might finally be the year to beat 2017 in my book, or at least equal it.

@Uncle_Franklin
Personally, I have enjoying the h*ck out of Minish Cap, even despite the hangups I've encountered. For the most part I would say I've found the puzzles pretty manageable and fun, especially in dungeons, and I really love the art style which definitely adds to the game's charm and sort of breezy feeling for me.

The issues I've encountered have so far almost entirely been between dungeons either requiring mechanics that I don't recall being properly demonstrated, or just feeling very filler-y (cough library books cough). But to me these have been pretty minor inconveniences that have had very little impact on how much I have otherwise been enjoying the game.

Re: Talking Point: Which Nintendo Console Has The Best First-Party Games Lineup?

MonkeyNinja506

The Switch has Mario Odyssey and Breath of the Wild, which on their own make it the best for me personally, but then you've also got Metroid Dread, FE Three Houses and now Engage, Kirby and the Forgotten Lands, ACNH, Xenoblade, Smash Ultimate, and can I count Mario + Rabbids too? Please? Even when not considering the number of games that are ports/rereleases, or all the games playable through NSO apps, the Switch takes the top spot for me without a doubt.
