@StinkyHat actually, the leak isn't relevant. They only decided to because of backlash. If it was fully intended they'd have mentioned it in the first place.
@Giancarlothomaz I'm interested to know how much longer they're going with the switch myself. They have said they want it to have a longer life than their other consoles did a few times now...and yes, I'd like to play all those games too but given that it takes longer than before to make bigger more expensive experiences sometimes you have to bite the bullet and find something to fill your time with while you wait (I'm really wanting to sink teeth into another Metriid game, but I'm also ok with the wait as There's other stuff I know I'll play in the meantime)
And that's cool you're a long time hunter! Sometimes it's hard to know who is and isn't unless you mention it so apologies repeating stuff you already knew. Maybe we might run into each other on a Rampage quest? I'm already planning to do a sweet HH and SA build as soon as I get my paws on my copy🤣
Happy hunting and hopefully the wait for the rest isn't going to be until a new system drops, especially when it would be smarter to give us a chance to play on this current console.
@ThanosReXXX you know as someone who lives somewhere it barely ever snows, I'd love to trade for a bit just to see real snow insted of just mud. Stay warm and safe.
@GammaPhonic just saying it'd be nice that's all. Pretty sure I'm not the only one who'd like to see where I could get a better deal than the utter rip off EB games is here.
@dutchguy the apex system in Rise isn't the same as 4U however. In this context it means 'alpha monster' whereas in 4U they where special hunts where you needed specific equipment and they were doable...but you had to be really good at the game to do them. Rise's thankfully won't be like that.
@Kidfunkadelic83 the beauty is the wirebugs are optional to use. I'm not great with them to be honest, so I'm probably going to use them to get me out of danger more than anything else.
@DrDaisy exactly. I play male characters alot in games and even in table top and I'm a married woman with two kids. It's not because I like the blokes better though, in most games I play I dislike the female armours or the female voice actors as they're either super sickly cute or sound like they're from a porno. 🤣 (admittedly there's a few male avatars who do get the female skimpy armour treatment and it's a nice change)
In table top I like being something I'm not. Sometimes I need a break from being 'so and so's' mum or 'so and so's' wife. Sure I'll play female characters too, but it's nice to walk in the shoes of someone else sometimes.
No more Heroes 3 is something I'm definitely getting ( absolutely love my old wii versions of 1 & 2) and even though it wasn't in the ditect, Pokemon snap is definitely on the list for my youngest (and secretary for me too why lie...) while Rise is definitely going to eat up a ton of my time (and in the best way possible) as I plan on hunting side by side with my eldest whose actually been learning to play both Generations and Tri via the co-op arena (which is ridiculous couch co op wii-mote fun) so will be nice to spend some quality time together in Rise.
Also if I my old man still plays games, I might get Mario golf for when he visits. I have great memories of playing the N64 version with him as a kid (prefecting my shots until I could finally beat him) and it would be nice to just play again together. Pitty there's not tetrisphere...I'd be all over that too vs my mum who man...she bet the entire game! (those last cpu challenges were insanely hard and for someone who really only plays super casually gawd...my mum is the terisphere queen)
@TheFullAndy that was sort of the point of the direct, to put everything we already knew was coming into one video incase there was something you missed.
@Ryu_Niiyama so they should be! The portable team for Monster Hunter have been working on it for 4 years. They're proud and want to show how much love they've sunk into thier game.
@echoplex GU was a re release of Double Cross on the 3ds. It's actually been four years since the original Generations and work for Rise was started roughly around when it was finished. It's been baking a while in the oven.😊 it's the portable teams time to shine while the team that made World/Iceborne are busy with their next one.
I'm definitely watching. The portable team are really kicking it out of the park in showing not just what the RE engine is capable of, but how much more powerful the switch is than we expect it to be. Seriously these guys made the celebration title as their last game so they're used to giving all they've got. I'm glad that they're also proud of what they have made, showing us not just awesome trailers but also showing us actual gameplay and mechanics which is incredible as there's many big games that try to avoid this until release day. Sure, there's people who think it's over hyped, but since it's such a massive thing in Japan it makes sense they're going to be showing it off like crazy.
Also very excited for more stories news. They've hinted in the most recent trailer at the end there will be cross over DLC for both games so that alone is very interesting indeed!
@Rika_Yoshitake i watched a live stream reaction where someone called MHrise 'Filler'. It's ok not to be into it, but its a 1st party capcom title that sells consoles especially in Japan.... Of course they're going to hype it when it's giving them some leverage over the lack of care Sony is giving their Japanese fans right now. But yeah definitely not a filler title.
@ThanosReXXX the covid thing I understand. Team Cherry would have had huge problems last year with our lockdowns all over the place in Australia and even some of the ones we've had at the start of the year. With a small indie studio not being able to work on your project in the office with the rest of your team can be a massive delay in everything to had planned out in your development.
@dBackLash it's out in less than a month. Honestly if you loose interest that quick that's your own issue. There's actually a ton of new stuff going up on thier twitter and website, as well as a few gameplay show cases on the coming weeks. Unlike something like Cyberpunk, the Portable MH team is happy to show everything and lay it out for everyone to see that there is actually a game coming and not just promises unforfilled. Sure we are not going to get info on the end game elder dragon - they've said long time ago that that's for players to share themselves if they ever want to reach it. But they're definitely giving all the people who are dunking on it and the switch a run for their money, especially now we know it can render 4 to 5 large monsters in a given area (never been done before), something the console team might eventually do with the next gen which we all know they've been working on since Iceborne ended. (Same as the portable team once GU finished on the 3ds - theirgames reliably have a rough 4 -5 year dev cycle.)
@Giancarlothomaz unfortunately some games don't get to. MHRise was leaked out by hackers long before they were ready to start properly promoting it. Though unless you're someone who started with World, you wouldn't be that suprised if you knew how the two teams working on the series work and that there's always been a console and a portable title of every generation in 4 year cycles with 4th gen being the 3ds only black sheep.
However because of these leaks and because of many new players who weren't aware of this way of operation within the MH division of Capcom, we've got people getting nasty over Rise, even if they were never going to play it anyway.
Just want to say this - the switch can render 4 to 5 monsters on a screen in handheld while world can only do 3. The game is pushing well above it's weight and from the demo, with little to no frame rate issues. It's texture heavy and wow...it's really amazing what the switch can really do with something specifically crafted for it. And yet...there's still jerks out there despite all this.
This is why I'm happy to wait for things like BOTW2 and Bayonetta...and Metroid which I know will be a texture heavy game too. They were probably waiting to see how well Rise runs before adding late tweeks and textures they weren't sure they could have the switch render before. Sure, The Witcher 3 port and Doom Eternal are awesome and done by wizards however they were forced to tone down textures and all sorts to get that magic to happen - Rise is practically being made entirely with unknown sorcery, textures, AI and all.
@Dman10 but there is a AAA game in that direct. It's the Nintendo made exclusives that are what's getting everyone upset. MHRise is one of capcoms 1st party titles and is very big in Japan to the point it sells consoles. Just because they're a 3rd party developer doesn't mean they don't have 1st party franchises.
I have said many times, This is the first time Nintendo can use the leverage of 3rd party and indie games to help fill empty patches in release from themselves. They've never really had that, even back in the days of the N64 where they had the most 3rd party support and even then it's incomparable to what the Switch has now. This allows them to still sell systems, still have games available while they take more care and time on thier bigger more time consuming IPs. If you ONLY bought a switch for Nintendo made stuff however you're shooting yourself in the foot (and are crazy, as your missing out on many other good games) They now have the ablity to take their time and they won't hesitate to use it, something they didn't always have the luxury of before the Switch.
@Magician actually, it's not the casuals on the hype train most of the time, as they usually don't care about a game enough until they've bought it on a whim in a store, usually going in more blind than long time fans of a series do. There's alot more fans who nit pick, speculate and what if so much to the point if a game was never going to live up to the hype created it will burn. Yes, there are some casuals who jump in with the fans on the hype, but it's usually because of something being seen as cool or just awesome to be into rather than the game itself. Cyberpunk had fans from the TTRPG community highly invested in it as well, some of which were expecting way more than a videogame could realistically deliver. Also, Cyberpunk as a theme...yeah everyone and thier dog is going to jump in on that because that entire genre is cool and not deeply saturated in media as something like medieval fantasy is.
I mean I'm a Monster Hunter fan. I know the hype train is real when I had everyone I knew playing and enjoying World when I struggled to get my pc to get it playing solo (don't get me started on how bad my multiplayer on it functioned with wifi in the mix) . I didn't get too upset over it though. Yes, it soured MHW for me, but others were having fun so that what mattered. I could play the older ones I own (which I did) instead and still feel partbof the community, especially since there's still active communities playing 4U and Tri U (WiiU version) if you look around enough. However it's also not a franchise or a theme of game that appeals to everyone like Cyberpunk (at least until World. Atm there's so much negative stuff coming from a few loudly obnoxious 5th fleeters who don't know the MH has always done console and portable games in a sort of one released while the other is in developing sort of thing it's terrible...especially when we've always had one of the nicest communities online ever...it's disgraceful. ) not everyone is into Cave punk/steel age fantasy (or with Rise it's currently Edo period fantasy) which is fair enough, it's a pretty niche aesthetic in comparison...but the hype from within the fandom itself is just as crazy as it is for something that's going to be Cyberpunk setting themed.
It's also sometimes people doing it themselves. People are gumping that we didn't get Zelda news and uh...we were never actually told to expect any yet people still hyped themselves up with practically nothing to base it on. With how late we got anniversary stuff for Mario, I'd suspect they'll do the same with Zelda as it makes sense to do so closer to the biggest holiday season of the year, but not everyone thinks this rationally. With pokemon as well they're going to slot them in first to give them more time as even though Pokemon is a nintendo property, they sort of aren't and always do there own crazy thing so letting them freely do so is better than trying to compete with it.
Like right now Capcoms biggest selling portable IP in Japan is taking the spotlight as they know it will sell consoles. They're not going to send Zelda into that and compete with it. Better to wait and when they need the sales unleash it along side other collectors stuff people will go crazy on because they've spread thier spending out over the year.
For me it depends on the game. Something like monster hunter where the devs are so excited and passionate about showing you what they've loving worked on for the past 4 years is something I can understand there being a hype train for because they really want you to play and invest time into their amazing world. However they don't announce anything until a few months before release so they can slowly build the excitement up and I feel that's rather ok in my opinion.
But something as cool as cyberpunk announcing like...WAY TOO EARLY by like a few years away before they can even show you any in game footage... that's when I really errr on the side of caution...especially after several games I really wanted fell into this trap before it.
However, for some games like No More Heroes and Splatoon just knowing something is coming is enough especially if they only mention it once and then drop more closer to release... I mean Splatoon was showing off a bit of the starting character creator (something very unexpected ) and No More Heroes did an entire mini game style compliation to see if the interest in continuing the franchies was still there.
As for stuff like metroid, despite knowing it's coming eventually, having them be honest last year that they were going to redo what they made so far because it wasn't to a standard they wanted I can get behind. They acknowledged people have waited a very very long time and they want to give their fans the very best. I can respect and be very patient with a dev team that is entirely open and honest with us.
I honesty sound like a broken record saying this, however I'm glad Nintendo finally has more 3rd party and indie support than they have ever had. Since the N64 they struggled, meaning there was long periods of nothing on the system while they worked on huge games and it was more understandable to be disappointed there wasn't alot to play. Now? There's zero excuse for that mindset unless you ONLY get Nintendo for their properties (which guys...your missing out on the other cool stuff...branch out a bit you know?) We have console selling 3rd party developers and indies showing just how amazing the system is, giving Nintendo what they've always needed: the time to really concentrate on delivering on good games when they're actually ready.
@rjejr i think they're only put layered armour on them because they know not everyone will buy them and it means if you don't you're not missing out on much. (You can get the armour set the standard way typically anyway, its the fact this one can be worn over another set) the MH team don't force you to purchase a deluxe edition/extra bits because the items are going to affect the game in huge ways or anything. It's 100% cosmetic and I like that it's not needed to enjoy the experience.
@Mountain_Man the assumption is that it is, it's rare the MH teams don't put everything on the cart. Only thing that'll be missing is all the free DLC they'll be dropping like they always do. And possibly G rank which always gets added later due to extending the games life so the other team has more time to polish up what they're working on.
Looks utterly fantastic! Also looks like we can hire NPCs to help soloing with the rampage sections, which is a solution to a problem I never knew I needed until now🤣
Who's looking forward to an Apex Rajang...anyone?😈
Actually, turns out Apex in this context has nothing to do with 4U. In other languages Apex is translated as superior or Alpha, meaning we're getting a leader of the pack type creature which kinda makes sense as the Rampage is essentially monsters fleeing from something extremely dangerous. Something tells me they couldn't think of a better word in English when translating...😅
@anoyonmus it's why we now have an R +18 rating mate. There are places with more censorship than what we've got. Atm they still rate video games the same way they do movies which is pretty outdated and many games get wrongly rated because of it. It's better than the US system at least.
@anoyonmus true, but should have been sort of expected since everything else capcom has been making/releaseing since MHW was released has been using it in some form, World possibly one of the only games they've made using a completely different engine ( edit: not the usual one they've used before nor the RE engine as it's new. - fixing phasing here though kinda thought I was clear..guess not!😅)If anything, people should be more suprised Rise had originally a 3ds build in it's development more than the fact its on the RE engine as it's rare now to build one that doesn't work multi platform and with the PS, Xbox and PC becoming extremely similar there's not really an excuse to have multiple engines for different systems, especially when the switch only has to run them at the lower end to be able to use it as well (I mean some devs do test games on low end pcs not many but there's a few that still do.)
4 year dev cycles having a game swap engines in between is rather normal these days too so it shouldn't be suprising to see the portable team choose that over what the console team used that caused them alot of rigging issues with some monsters. After making GU they probably didn't want to sacrifice certain species with how popular they were and wanted them back. (The producer even stating he wanted to make a snake like monster and finally he gets to! The only true snake wyven was back in 4/4U and that was designed by the consoleteam, not the portable...so can understand him wanting to make his own. )
@Rhinosopotamus well said though I'd give money to both as they did a sterling job! Some indies are 2 people or 4 people teams who mortgage thier own homes in order to get their first game out the door (Aka cup head and Owlboy)...do they deserve to not be paid because they're a tiny team that risked everything to make a game? That thinking is ludicrous and I'm glad someone calls it out.
@broforce just be honest and say you don't enjoy this type of game and move on. Don't invent a silly reason about not giving money to a one man studio who does the work of an ENTIRE DEV TEAM as an excuse to not play it.
Many MANY games were made by one man/woman teams back in the ages of when Atari was king and in the early 90's. It's taken a long time for them to make a comback and finally the industry is giving them ways to be successful. Heck some started entire new genres...and still are redefining and recreating them in ways big developers won't bother with taking a risk on. We need these risk takers so much otherwise the industry will stagnate.
@anoyonmus we knew about Rise before then. The MH franchise has two teams that start on the next console/portable entry once the G rank for thier game is completed. It's like we know there will be a new console version for ps5, xbox sx and pc soon as that would have been started as soon as Iceborne finished by the console team. Rise has been in development since GU (XX in Japan) on the 3ds finshed up by the portable team. We westerners got it on the switch as it coming out at the end of the 3ds life cycle.
But yes, MH has always worked this way so leaks that a new one is coming isn't really a thing when we already knew one was in development.
Another trailer for Monster Hunter Rise, Pokemon Snap and No More Heroes 3 and I'll be sweet.
I mean there's Zelda and others but I'm not holding out for them until Christmas as after giving us the MHR and mario switchs, they're going to wait so they can drop a zelda one too (and if they're isn't another pokemon one this year I'll be damn suprised). It's a big year for nintendo and alot of 3rd party companies. Covid or not it's going to be banger of a year.
@Danrenfroe2016 the controls aren't bad. Just different. MH isn't a hack 'n' slash game as it looks to be on the surface. There's alot of tactics and patten recognition involved and being able to learn from your own mistakes. Your character doesn't improve, you the player does. It's not a series for everyone and that's ok. Everyone who's into it will tell you you're getting watered down versions of the weapons in the demo (some rely on status effects like Insect Glaive & Duel Blades and they're missing from the demo)
If you ever feel like trying again, try playing something like duel blades to ease you in as they're the fastest feeling weapon move set wise. Things like the Great Sword, Heavy Bow Gun and Hammer are great for teaching you to watch how monsters move around the map and where the openings are because they're slower, more methodical and rely on accuracy to get the most out of them. Everything else is somewhere in the middle to various degrees.
Most MH players will tell you when they first started they indeed hit a wall in the game, either with controls or certain monsters. They walked away, came back and it finally clicked. There's no one way to describe the euphoria you feel when taking a monster down that's give you a hard time...but it feels incredible and makes you feel like you can conquer anything. Something we all need in our lives.
And if it never clicks that's ok too. It's not like Dark Souls where not finishing the game robs you of the story or full experience. (MH storylines have always been very light, the lore ect all nicely told through environments and the quests themselves...basically every part of the game tells the story of the setting, but it's very easy to miss or egnore it if you choose)
@Mr_Persona I did for a while with GU as I was so used to the 3ds controls (I managed to set GU up the same way as the 3ds camera controls for a while) so it's entirely possible to remap things to how they suit you. (And you can rest to default if they're not working as intended)
Personally I dislike the radial menu as I didn't like it in World so I've remapped those buttons in the demo already as I made that menu defunct and it makes so much less clutter on the screen in handheld. But yes, with the demo it's worth messing around to see what you prefer and are comfortable with before the full game comes and you don't enjoy it as you haven't made it comfortable to use.
@Rpg-lover i think it's because with xbox and play staion essentially now becoming similar to pcs on hardware and similar button layouts porting doesn't take as much time. With the switch there's different controller configurations they have to make sure all work with the game. That takes time, especially with an RPG of it's size.
@Rayquaza2510 been hunting with and without the wire bugs. Honestly it's possible to egnore them entirely if you choose. Unlike the clutch claw they're entirely optional just like hunter arts were in Generations and GU. However with combat being more fluid and faster at least knowing you can Yeet yourself out of danger is very handy, especially on weapons like Heavy bow gun as the basic roll dodge is very slow (I mean you're carrying a big gun it should be slow) and for a monster like Rajang you'd 100% want to use them just to dodge out the way.
@nessisonett there's some high areas of the map accessible only by wall/wirebug climbing. It's worth exploring on the Itzuchi hunt as there's some pretty interesting things to climb up to. There's an area at the very back waterfall that's got a bridge and a few shirnes at the top most peaks.
@Northwind I'd wait until we fight the monsters. We haven't been given any yet that you might need to wirebug yourself out of danger for yet. You know they'll be in there somewhere.
@BenAV you'll find many in the community are the same. They don't get it the first time, but when you finally take on the first big monster you have it click because it makes you feel so confident that you can take on anything. The full game will have a multiplayer training room so if you're ever stuck someone in a fourm or any friends can jump in and give you pointers.
I've played since Tri and I'm not going to lie, there's some monsters I've avoided because My skill level was never good enough to beat them without hitting a wall, especially in the hunters hub which are alot stronger than the village quests and are more or less optional end game content if you're doing the village first (you can do it in any order) and yesterday in GU i finally took out two of one of these monsters, proving that all I needed was more confidence in my abilities. (Seriously Rajang is an intimidating monster, he's practically a joke referring to Goku in Dragonball Z and boy....he's a scary and difficult monster your first time.) Afterwards I felt as if I could take on the world. That's what MH is to me, a bit kick to my confidence that any difficult challenge is something I can overcome if I don't give up.
Going to get as much Monster hunter Rise in as I can with friends and some randoms, maybe finish my seventh run-through of MHGU and possibly some Hades and Animal Crossing on the side with some Untitled Goose game with the kids (my daughter is currently obsessed with it). It's a rainy weekend so the kids entertainment comes first, plus it'll relax her before her first year of school starts next week.
@BTB20 hunter's notes are awesome and in every game, so if you ever go back to older ones to try you can always find the basics in there for just about everything.
just a general tip: for you first hunt it's useful to pick a slower weapon like the Great sword and practice dodging so you can watch a monsters attack pattens and see where it's openings are. Dodging and breaking your own combos can be a matter of staying in the fight and not carting. Even with faster weapons like duel bades you need to know when these are so you're not thrown back from the monster everytime you charge in. It might seem like a wasted hunt, but trust me is it ever useful! https://youtu.be/6s_Avcc8Bpw a good video about this with Gajin hunter using Rathian as an example, it's a older video from MHGen however it still applies as it's a very important game mechanic.
The camp is also a great place to try out all your weapon combos! I mainly play Hunting Horn and Insect Glaive so when I've tried the other weapons out I usually mess around with them at the camp first just so I know what all the buttons do, especially since gunner/ranged weapons have different buttons for silk bind moves. You'll usually find people maining one or two weapons for this reason, but there's no reason to restrict yourself. Sometimes a weapon doesn't sing out in the demo (especially ones that rely on element damage) but once you see what you can craft you might find something that speaks to you.
They recently dropped footage of the new training hub room and it's going to be multi player so you can learn with friends (maybe randoms, they didn't give us that info) so it's looking to be the more friendler games to get you started when it finally comes out, especially with customisation on the training dummy! https://youtu.be/SDboEA6o50I

Happy more get to play, kinda disappointed they caved to people who were bashing the Switch though. It's a 50-50 split on how I feel about it.
More hunters are always welcome, just feels like people who whine are going to feel justified to keep doing so.

Re: Capcom Will Broadcast Three Monster Hunter Live Streams Next Month
Re: Soapbox: The Modern Games Industry Has A Hype Problem, And It Needs To Stop
@ThanosReXXX i probably did. 😆 three 33°c heat days in a row is getting to me. (Sometimes summer in Australia sucks)
Re: Soapbox: The Modern Games Industry Has A Hype Problem, And It Needs To Stop
@Rika_Yoshitake i watched a live stream reaction where someone called MHrise 'Filler'. It's ok not to be into it, but its a 1st party capcom title that sells consoles especially in Japan.... Of course they're going to hype it when it's giving them some leverage over the lack of care Sony is giving their Japanese fans right now. But yeah definitely not a filler title.
Re: Soapbox: The Modern Games Industry Has A Hype Problem, And It Needs To Stop
@ThanosReXXX the covid thing I understand. Team Cherry would have had huge problems last year with our lockdowns all over the place in Australia and even some of the ones we've had at the start of the year. With a small indie studio not being able to work on your project in the office with the rest of your team can be a massive delay in everything to had planned out in your development.
Re: Soapbox: The Modern Games Industry Has A Hype Problem, And It Needs To Stop
Re: Soapbox: The Modern Games Industry Has A Hype Problem, And It Needs To Stop
Re: Soapbox: The Modern Games Industry Has A Hype Problem, And It Needs To Stop
Re: Soapbox: The Modern Games Industry Has A Hype Problem, And It Needs To Stop
Re: Soapbox: The Modern Games Industry Has A Hype Problem, And It Needs To Stop
Re: Where To Pre-Order Monster Hunter Rise And The Three amiibo
@rjejr i think they're only put layered armour on them because they know not everyone will buy them and it means if you don't you're not missing out on much. (You can get the armour set the standard way typically anyway, its the fact this one can be worn over another set) the MH team don't force you to purchase a deluxe edition/extra bits because the items are going to affect the game in huge ways or anything. It's 100% cosmetic and I like that it's not needed to enjoy the experience.
Re: Where To Pre-Order Monster Hunter Rise And The Three amiibo
@Jimmy_G_Buckets you get lots of free dlc in the games life time anyway so even getting the bog standard edition isn't an issue.
Re: Where To Pre-Order Monster Hunter Rise And The Three amiibo
@Mr-Fuggles777 they probably will since it was Capcom that asked Nintendo before the switchs release to bump up it's ram.
Re: Where To Pre-Order Monster Hunter Rise And The Three amiibo
@Mountain_Man the assumption is that it is, it's rare the MH teams don't put everything on the cart. Only thing that'll be missing is all the free DLC they'll be dropping like they always do. And possibly G rank which always gets added later due to extending the games life so the other team has more time to polish up what they're working on.
Re: Where To Pre-Order Monster Hunter Rise And The Three amiibo
Still waiting for you guys to mention where to buy for Australian players. One of these days you'll remember we exist.
Re: Travis Touchdown Returns In No More Heroes III On August 27th
Between this, Rise and pokemon snap for the kids... I'm going to be pretty broke but damn...very much happy to get these!
Re: Video: Capcom Shows Off New Rampage Mode And Apex Monsters In Monster Hunter Rise
@Joeynator3000 yes! The love for third fleeters of Tri is shining through in this game!
Re: Video: Capcom Shows Off New Rampage Mode And Apex Monsters In Monster Hunter Rise
Re: DOOM Eternal's Part Two DLC Has Been Rated In Australia
@anoyonmus it's why we now have an R +18 rating mate. There are places with more censorship than what we've got. Atm they still rate video games the same way they do movies which is pretty outdated and many games get wrongly rated because of it. It's better than the US system at least.
Re: DOOM Eternal's Part Two DLC Has Been Rated In Australia
They're still rating them like the do films. They need to fix that really badly as some games get wrong ratings simply by existing.
Re: Capcom Insider Backs Up Previous Claims Of "Switch Focused" Resident Evil Revelations 3 Release
The only true snake wyven was back in 4/4U and that was designed by the consoleteam, not the portable...so can understand him wanting to make his own. )
Re: Stardew Valley's Version 1.5 Update For Nintendo Switch Is Now Available
Re: Capcom Insider Backs Up Previous Claims Of "Switch Focused" Resident Evil Revelations 3 Release
Re: Nintendo Direct To Air Tomorrow, Wednesday 17th February
@eltomo I'm here for mystic Ninja...it's been too long!
Re: Nintendo Direct To Air Tomorrow, Wednesday 17th February
@Archius9 i feel ya. I'm in Australia....no one ever airs directs at a decent time for us.
Re: Nintendo Direct To Air Tomorrow, Wednesday 17th February
Another trailer for Monster Hunter Rise, Pokemon Snap and No More Heroes 3 and I'll be sweet.
I mean there's Zelda and others but I'm not holding out for them until Christmas as after giving us the MHR and mario switchs, they're going to wait so they can drop a zelda one too (and if they're isn't another pokemon one this year I'll be damn suprised). It's a big year for nintendo and alot of 3rd party companies. Covid or not it's going to be banger of a year.
Re: Monster Hunter Rise Producer Says You'll Have To "Get Used" To The New Wirebug Feature
Re: Monster Hunter Rise Producer Says You'll Have To "Get Used" To The New Wirebug Feature
Re: ZA/UM Talks About Disco Elysium's Big 'Final Cut' Update Ahead Of Its Summer Switch Release
@Rpg-lover i think it's because with xbox and play staion essentially now becoming similar to pcs on hardware and similar button layouts porting doesn't take as much time. With the switch there's different controller configurations they have to make sure all work with the game. That takes time, especially with an RPG of it's size.
Re: ZA/UM Talks About Disco Elysium's Big 'Final Cut' Update Ahead Of Its Summer Switch Release
Been looking forward to it, can play inbetween monster hunting! Honestly I'm down for a deep story driven game to round out my spare time
Re: Monster Hunter Rise Producer Says You'll Have To "Get Used" To The New Wirebug Feature
@Mr_Persona look in the options menu. There's different control set ups and ways to customise...as well as gyro aiming.
Re: Monster Hunter Rise Producer Says You'll Have To "Get Used" To The New Wirebug Feature
Re: Monster Hunter Rise Producer Says You'll Have To "Get Used" To The New Wirebug Feature
Re: Monster Hunter Rise Producer Says You'll Have To "Get Used" To The New Wirebug Feature
@Northwind I'd wait until we fight the monsters. We haven't been given any yet that you might need to wirebug yourself out of danger for yet. You know they'll be in there somewhere.
Re: Monster Hunter Rise Producer Says You'll Have To "Get Used" To The New Wirebug Feature
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? (January 30th)
Re: Gallery: Capcom Shares Stunning Concept Art For Monster Hunter Rise's Frost Islands
