Well, this is the start of something wonderful... but yes, I hope it also comes out in the US. So they can enjoy it without having to import, and so my stack of games still looks reasonably uniform
I'm glad this game might get a slightly wider release now, especially in the US. I got my hands on the DS original a few months back and it was definitely worth the hunt.
There is, but I forgot to note it in the review; hold down attack for a few seconds and it acts like a smart bomb at the cost of half your health. Personally I wanted to enjoy the game but there was nothing present that screamed at me and grabbed me by the throat, compelling me to keep at it...
@WaltzElf - true, but the announcement text is still correct. The first FF game to be released in Europe was number seven, which is what the text says...
I'd seen it listed but it didn't ring any bells as said, it got no promotion and I've not seen a single review of it until now. Maybe one to look up next time I'm in the US...
Sheesh... some people. It's less than getting a round in by far. Why the whinging I have no idea, 1200 is pretty much a bargain for a game such as this.
Will be waiting for a score on Gladiator with interest... aside from that nothing else. Never liked Rondo, palls compared to C4 on the SFC and SotN on PS1...
@Popyman - pretty much, apparently he only started playing the game in November 2008... so not even 18 months yet!
@WiiLovePeace - nope, there's a countdown timer on each level and if it hits zero, then you lose a life. It's actually that function that causes the "kill" screen, you can read about that here and why it triggers.
Have you thought about going for the DK3 record and then technically having a 2-1 advantage over Billy Mitchell?
Conversely, in line with all the talk heard about having "performances in the bank" regarding scores achieved but not produced publically yet, how high do you think the score in DK is able to be pushed limit wise?
I've never bought the 2000 made, 200 left rumour at all. I'm pretty sure there are more of them out there than that. Mind you, it's still silly bidding for a sealed game regardless of how many exist!
@andol123 - that's my post over there. The original disks DO have a copy protection system that lets you play the first level but then crashes when trying to load level two. I can't believe this would actually be the case here, but you never know...
I'm glad the game IS finally off the VC and people will be refunded because it should never have gone up in the first place like this.
$30 is fairly standard for a homebrew title for US consoles now... time for programming, manufacture and anything else needed. I don't see a lot of people complaining about paying that for 2600/7800 titles for example.
Shovelware never killed the first two Playstation consoles, so I can't quite see it doing it to the Wii either. Mind you, I was predicting another crash at some point because of it and nothing has come to pass in the last ten years so... who knows.
It was harder than the first game imo... I guess it was for those who creamed the original and wanted more challenge heh. Don't think the music was quite as good but it played better.
I'll be getting it (the US version), thankfully I still have my Cube arcade sticks! Bring on the rumble... if I can find enough time between Bioshock 2 and the new AA game...!
I have all the games being cut bar BW2, which I had been considering. Guess I'll be looking out for it next time I shop in the US... if it's still there.
I've sent three copies of this to people in the US over time because they knew it wasn't coming out over there. Apparently Nintendo didn't release it because the general feeling is American gamers hate Tingle. I wonder why?
Definitely agree with the score. It's a fun game but flawed...
At the buzzer... ugly shot! Getting Mark Turmell back is a confidence move in all (he also created one of my favourite C64 games, Toy Bizarre) so there's better hope for it than I'd imagine. Played the original SNES version to death back then.
Chrono Trigger is not rare. It's quite common. The price is because it's in demand because it's an excellent title. Not everything pricey is rare, and not everything rare is pricey. Demand has every factor on price as rarity does imo. But I will agree that the recent releases on physical and download mediums of older titles has depressed the value of the originals to a degree. Better for us still looking to obtain said titles, not so good for those looking to sell.

Re: Review: Mario Tennis (Virtual Console / Nintendo 64)
Yeah, looks fine to me. As for the game, I loved this and it's better than the Cube version imo.

Re: Nintendo Download: 31st May 2010 (North America)
The one thing I can say is that Wild Guns on VC is gonna be a huge bargain compared to how much it costs to get a CIB copy of the actual thing...!
Re: Catch Pokemon Black and White in North America Next Spring
That image rather reminds of the cover to Archon...
Re: NES Autographed by Miyamoto Sells for Just $1000
Way overpriced there... I can't imagine the copy of Zelda I have signed by Miyamoto being worth anywhere near that...
Re: Ghost Trick to Haunt the West This Winter
Indeed... hopefully it will be full of win.
Re: Review: Game & Watch Donkey Kong Jr. (DSiWare)
This was good, the two screen version was better though!
Re: Interplay Straps In with Descent for WiiWare
Played this to death on the PC back in the day... should be... interesting heh...
Re: Manga to Release Professor Layton Film in the UK

Re: Nintendo Download: 29th March 2010 (North America)
Lots of people excited for OB64 coming out, am I the only one with a proper cartridge of it then or something?
Re: Nintendo Download: 29th March 2010 (North America)
I'll be getting the Warioware DS game in due time, so will be looking to see how the Wii companion pans out...

I wonder if Capcom will make the T-shirts and a promo box available again...?

@JimLad - I was going to make the same joke
Re: Muscle March Coming to WiiWare on Monday
Oh... wow...! Didn't expect it so soon... and at 500 points, might just be tempting to get...
Re: Review: Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney (WiiWare)
Don't give them ideas StuffGamer, Capcom will probably do that now

Yeah, I can't believe BIS is stopping in Aussieland already... must have had really bad sales or something...

Coupled with the performance of Dead Space Extraction, it really is a sad state of affairs. I wonder how Tatsunoko will perform in the West...?

Re: Review: Castlevania The Adventure ReBirth (WiiWare)
@JWL - it will certainly be a good introduction into the series. Then get the CV4 on the SNES, the best in the series imo.
Re: Nintendo Download: 28 December 2009 (North America)
At least Castlevania sounds even more promising... I still need to properly play a few others I've downloaded recently though!
