ACWW was my first AC game. I liked it back then, but I found the animals rather unfriendly, it made it less engaging. The flea markets were fun though, I miss those. I haven't played WW for years now. I might boot it up again, but probably won't be playing it for reals. I far prefer ACNL and ACNH, both of which I play often.
@MatoFilipovic Yes. I still play and enjoy these games from time to time on different Nintendo devices. IMHO the classics are so for a reason. YMMV but to me such collections are enjoyable.
I'm really excited for this update! The Resort Hotel (yay - return of the turtles!) and Slumber Island(s)! So much new stuff to do. I'm happy about more storage space too, even if it's not critical for me - yet! lol
I look forward to Retro games making a return. I wish we also saw a return of Hide and seek, as well as some of the ACNL campsite games, like "Pick a card any card" and the 5 item minigame.
The new items from the collabs look great and I'm very happy about new villagers, but I wish it wasn't necessary to get amiibos in order to get them. Unlocking them via quests in the game would have been much better. I really wish Wolflink was included, and Inkwell.
I'm also uncertain which amiibos actually count as being compatible? Will my Wolflink amiibo work?
Nope, I'm as Pokéngaged as I've ever been. I love every main series game and generation, as well as the Mystery Dungeons, Pokemon Conquest, and TCG for GBC. I've liked the different gimmicks in different gens too, but I really fell for the Tera Raids and Tera types in Scarlet and Violet the most. I can't get enough of it. The only problem is not enough Poke Boxes. I'm starting to have to let go of monsters due to lack of space... I also like that they have become more accessible in terms of getting PP Up, mints, mirror herb, changing nickname, and relearning deleted moves. And with SV's open world there is so much to explore and find. I hope the main series battle and catching mechanics stay exactly as they are in future games. I don't care for either in the Arceus game.
This weekend I'll be playing Across the obelisk, Slayin 2, Card-en-ciel, and Plants vs zombies replanted. I'll also no doubt play a bit of Block Jam, and Tents & Trees in between, as well as pop in to check on my New Leaf town Happy gaming!
I hadn't really noticed that x in game names was a trend. It's a bit silly if the x isn't even supposed to be said, but doesn't bother me. I just pronounce it eks unless the X is a 10. I have to admit that good use of more exciting (less used) letters like x, q and z does make titles and names look more interesting and fun, more noticeable, like the dice game Qwixx.
I played Grand Bazaar on the DS, and enjoyed it a lot. As Harvest Moon/Story of seasons games go, it holds 3rd place for me, only beaten by Mineral Town and The Tale of Two Towns. I'm excited to see what's new, and will definitely get this one. Now I'm hoping for a Tale of Two Towns remake as well. (Off topic but, I miss calling them Harvest Moon lol, I preferred that name). And also Rune Factory 1 and 2 remakes. We've gotten 3 and 4, but 1 and 2 remain my favorites, so I hope to see them shine again.
The games I look the most forward to are Fantasy Life (I've played the original Fantasy Life so many times), Dragon Quest (one of my absolute favorite RPG series), and Grand Bazaar (which I have fond memories of playing on the DS). These 3 are must-buys for me. Will probably pick up Tomodachi Life too.
I'm also curious if Shadow Labyrinth and Raidou are worth a shot, and if the new Pokemon Legends game is any good (didn't care for the first entry in the series). Will keep up on news about these.
@Dazman Unfortunately I never managed to get all that into the Let's Go games. I really dislike the catching mechanic, and I would also prefer to be able to battle wild Pokemon like in the core games.
I wish they made a remake of Pokemon Conquest. It was a fun spin-off game. I would also like a remake of the good old Pokemon Trading Card game that was released on Gameboy Color back in the day, but with more cards available.
I really wish we could get a new remake of Blue/Red/Yellow. We haven't had one since they finally got rid of HMs, and I would love to revisit Kanto without needing to waste at least one slot for a HM slave. They could still leave the bushes et c and just give you something that removes them all when you've progressed to that point. Same goes for the other old games. I've played and loved every generation since my first delve in Blue, and wanna reexperience them all in updated versions. When the turn comes to Sun and Moon, I really hope they'll go for the Ultra versions. The worm whole rides were fun.
I wasn't aware we're about to lose them. Very disappointed to learn this. The gold points do indeed help make a bit of a difference, at least for those of us who aren't made of money. Every discount is a good thing.
Best start up jingle: Toss-up between NES, SNES, GB and GBA. Picked GB, because I think, of them all, it has the most nostalgic sound to me. The little individual jingle every single game have on the 3DS menu is something I'd like to see on Switch 2. Would also like themes back, and a nice eshop tune like on the 3DS.
Okay, so it's backward compatibility for digital games. Great, but what about physical games? I like to have the physical editions of games I like, so it's worrying that they only mentioned software.

Re: Nintendo Expands Switch Online's NES And Game Boy Library With Four More Titles
I wish they'd add Skate or Die for NES. And Skate or Die Bad n Rad and Super R.C. Pro-Am for Gameboy.

Re: Poll: Animal Crossing: New Horizons Is Getting A Huge Update In Early 2026, What Are You Most Excited For?
I'm equally excited about the Resort Hotel with the return of the turtle family, the Slumber islands, and the collabs.

@DwaynesGames ooh, thanks for the recommendation. I like Qix but didn't know it had a sequel. Looks fun.

Sounds great, but US only it seems.

My top 3 are SMB 1 and 2 and Super Mario Land. Uncomplicated and addictive classics.
