Re: App Annie Outlines Super Mario Run's Chances of Being a Major Global Hit

Lucina

@UK-Nintendo I don't accept everything, but most of the things people complain about are utterly asinine and not worth getting riled up about. I have a life outside video games and I don't want half of my time spent complaining about them. It's a giant waste of time and it literally accomplishes nothing. It just makes you more bitter. Some things are worth fighting and complaining over. Video games should never be one of them. I want to have fun, not worry about a companies future or how they don't do this and that. If I dislike what a company is doing, I move on to something else that will suit my needs, not whine about it on the internet like a petulant little child. There's nothing mature about whining and complaining about video games, especially when the only thing you can do is vote with your dollar or simply move on. I find it absolutely insane that so many individuals, like yourself, expend an enormous amount of time and energy complaining and whining when you could be doing something else, like actually playing video games or doing something with your life. Instead, I don't find constructive criticism and talk about said video games but I do find plenty of whining and not much else. It's pathetic. No wonder people don't treat video games and gamers seriously. Most of our time is spent complaining about the very games we play and the companies that make them.

Gamers are some of the most entitled, privileged individuals I have EVER had the displeasure of meeting. Bunch of grown men and women complaining about freaking video games like it's an attack to their very being. So juvenile. So pointless. I thought video games were meant to be a distraction from reality and an escape. It appears even video games aren't immune to the petty natures of humanity.

I don't even know why I bother honestly. You know what, screw it all. I'm moving on from this cancerous website and it's users. Nothing but negativity and soulless individuals clinging to a past long forgotten. I've tried to bring reason, logic and some common sense to this website, but it seems it's fallen on deaf ears by the arrogant, ignorant and those who delight in negativity. It's sad really. I should have left a long time ago and taken my own advice. Better late than never I suppose.

Enjoy being consumed by your hatred over something so truly insignificant. It's downright pathetic that so many of you filled with such volitle, negative emotions over a video game company and the games it creates. No wonder Nintendo treats its fans like kids cause most of them act as such.

Re: App Annie Outlines Super Mario Run's Chances of Being a Major Global Hit

Lucina

@UK-Nintendo The Wii U lasted 4 years, which is more than enough for a console lifecycle, especially one that has sold not very well at all. Nintendo gave the Wii U a generous chance at hanging on, and they could have easily abandoned it two years ago, but they didn't. That's more than what can be said of what Sega did the past. Ninrendo is a company and a business first and foremost. Sometimes they need to do drastic things in order to succeed in other ways, such as putting their entire focus on the Switch.

I'm honestly baffled as to why you comment on here if you despise Nintendo so much. Same can be said of many other users on this website. It's become less of a Nintendo fan website and more of a Nintendo hate website. Pretty disgusting if you ask me. Just shows how fickle and childish gaming fan bases can be.

Re: App Annie Outlines Super Mario Run's Chances of Being a Major Global Hit

Lucina

@RainbowGazelle Your love for them was practically non existant if your previous comments are anything to go by. You won't fool anyone into thinking you were some loyal fan of Nintendo when you say half the crap you do. Here's what I find interesting about individuals like yourself. You say crap like "Nintendo has changed" and what not. Here's a reality check for you. Nintendo has not changed, you have. Nintendo has been the same since its inception. I've been playing Nintendo since 1994 and I can assure you that they have not changed in the quality of their games nor many of the core beliefs they hold.

And guess what? Super Mario Run will be fun for millions of others, whether you like it or not. Your bias and your dogmatic way of thinking will not get in the way of that.

Re: Feature: Xenoblade Chronicles X - One Year Later

Lucina

Easily one of the best games I've ever played. Certainly in my top 10, no doubt about it. I've spent at least 300 hours in Xenoblade Chronicles X and have loved every bit of it. It has its faults, some more glaring than others, but the pros vastly outweighs the cons, and the game is incredibly addictive. If the rumour of it being ported to the Switch is true, I shall purchase it the day it releases.

An absolute must have for any Wii U owner or JRPG fan.

Re: F-Zero X Wii U Update Improves Controls and 'Deadzone' Issue

Lucina

@UK-Nintendo Then buy it at the store if you really want to save that much money. Again, no one is forcing you to buy these eshop games. But Nintendo believes that the value of the games is based around that price, whether you like it or not. And I would have to agree for the most part. For them to personally sell a game like that for $3 would be an insult. GameStop can do whatever they want with used games and what not, but Nintendo clearly believes in the price of their products and the value considering they keep the prices of their first party content close to what it sold at launch. It's been this way for decades. This isn't something new that is happening. Either you purchase a used copy, go on eBay or some other retailer or you purchase it on the eshop. Either way, Nintendo will continue to price their games based on the value and demand that is there. They will not devalue their products no matter how much disapproving looks they may get.

Again, people are beyond entitled and cheapskates if they think that pricing NES games, that still hold value, below $3 is acceptable. My gosh, I cannot fathom how spoiled and entitled people are these days. Makes me embarrassed that we've become privlaged society.

Re: F-Zero X Wii U Update Improves Controls and 'Deadzone' Issue

Lucina

@iGen You realize you're not forced to purchase it if you don't want to. Nintendo isn't putting a gun to your head and saying "purchase these games or else!" $5 is more than acceptable for a NES game, and even less if you purchased them on the Wii U. They still hold value in this day and age, therefore, the price will stay as it is until Nintendo sees diminishing returns in those classic titles. And, as it currently stands, those classic VC games sell quite well still, despite the price tag being $5. If it was too old and devoid of content, people wouldn't continue to purchase these titles over and over again.

Sorry, but it appears you're wrong in every sense of the word. You're being stingy, cheap and have been conditioned by the devaluization of other games on other systems or devices. Nintendo'a games have an enormous amount of value, especially the classics. To value them below $3 isn't doing them justice at all, nor is it right. These aren't just valueless iPhone games that you forget over a year later, these are classic titles that gamers still treasure to this day. Again, no one, not even Nintendo is forcing you to buy them if such a small price is too much for you to handle. Your comment has solidified my belief that our society is beyond spoiled and entitled. Your words are very childish and you do not understand the value of these games, that much is clear.

Re: Review: Super Mario Maker for Nintendo 3DS (3DS)

Lucina

@ALinkttPresent That's gamers for you. Sticking to their hate no matter what praise a game gets. And most of the individuals here probably own the Wii U version, so they feel ripped off somehow. News flash for you folks, this port is not aimed at you. It's aimed primarily at those who only own a 3DS and want to experience Super Mario Maker. And despite the port missing a few features from its Wii U counterpart, I'm amazed they were even able to port the game to the 3DS, an aging game system. Obviously technical limitations are going to come into play, and I find the local play to make more sense for a handheld game anyways, especially when you take it on the go.

I know people will continue to rag on this port for years to come, but I feel Nintendo did the best they could within the limits they were given.

Re: North American eShop Cyber Deals Include Over 40 Discounts

Lucina

@Jumpman I initially had several paragraphs explaining why you should purchase both, but alas, I couldn't post it. ;-; However, I'll summarize what I said in a single paragraph. I would HIGHLY recommend purchasing both games. They're indeed essential games for ant 3DS owner, be they into RPG's not. In my personal opinion, and after extensively playing both Awakening and Fates for hundreds upon hundreds of hours, both games are RPG masterpieces! From the gorgeous musical score to the anime styled characters to the deep, complex and very addicting gameplay, these games truly are my favourite games of all time. And I don't say that lightly given I have played hundreds of RPG's since I first started to play video games in 1994.

So yes, purchase both as I guarantee you shall not be disappointed. And play either game first, it really doesn't matter too much. But I would recommend playing Birthright first out of the three Fate campaigns.

Good luck and have fun!

Re: North American eShop Cyber Deals Bring Over 40 Discounts

Lucina

If anyone has yet to play Fire Emblem Awakening, you owe it to yourself and your 3DS to buy it while it is priced as it is. For $20, you get a masterpiece of an RPG and one of the best, if not the best, 3DS game ever. I've sunk over 500 hours into Awakening and I rarely do that for a video game. It is truly an experience one cannot miss, especially if you're new to the series.

Fire Emblem Awakening is not a game one should miss, whether you're into RPG's or not, you certainly will be after playing it.

Re: Rumour: Monolith Soft Working on Something 'New' for Nintendo Switch

Lucina

@therealgamer I call bullcrap on you being a developer. The way you chat with others and the emotional outbursts you convey clearly do not favour you in being a developer, someone who wouldn't act like a petulant teenager. I do not believe you're a developer nor do I believe you have some insiders information about what Nintendo is presenting come January 12th. So please, for all our sakes, calm down and cut it out with the lies and emotional temper tantrums.

Re: Rumour: Monolith Soft Working on Something 'New' for Nintendo Switch

Lucina

If anyone is going to handle the port for Xenoblade Chronicles X, Monster Games seems like the most experienced company to do so. They successfully ported over Donkey Kong Country Returns and Xenoblade Chronicles to the 3DS, a feat which I thought was impossible, most notably for Xenoblade given how large and epic that game is. And I'm not surprised Monolith Soft is working on a new game for the Switch. It's been a year and a half since Xenoblade Chronicles X was released in Japan, it only makes sense for them to move on to something new. I do hope it's either a sequel to XCX or something in the same vein within the Xenoblade universe.

Re: Feature: 10 Essential 3DS RPGs

Lucina

@eltomo The hardcore elitists believe Awakening is the game that killed Fire Emblem for them. Oh well, millions of others will enjoy the new FE games while they sulk in their corner about how they wohld rather have a dead franchise than have Awakening and Fates. How juvenile really.

Re: Feature: 10 Essential 3DS RPGs

Lucina

@bolt05 Thanks! And I couldn't agree more. That's not to say the older Fire Emblem games aren't good, but compared to today's Fire Emblem games, they do seem rather outdated to a degree.

Re: Feature: 10 Essential 3DS RPGs

Lucina

@Ralizah You're completely incorrect. Only snobby Fire Emblem elitists think that the story to Fates and the writing of the game is garbage. I've talked to people who've played Fates, those who have only played Awakening and even those who have played the series extensively. Every single one of them enjoyed the characters, story, support conversations and the witty writing. The only people I have ever come across that actually despise it are elitest snobs like yourself who believe the boring, politic heavy story of the older games are superior.

No, they're not. They lack entertainment value which Awakening and Fates give in spades. I've played many of the older Fire Emblem games and holy crap were the stories boring, generic and uninspired. The characters were alright, but even they really aren't as enduring as some of the new Fire Emblem games characters.

Why do you think Awakening and Fates sold better than any other Fire Emblem game by a MASSIVE amount? It wasn't because of the marketing, it wasn't because of the shipping aspects nor was it because the last game to come to North America was a remake, and a shoddy one at that. No, the real reason Awakening and Fates sold as well as they did was because of the production values, the lower barrier of entry in terms of difficulty, and the modernization of both the story, characters, and even gameplay. It brought Fire Emblem out of the archaic mechanics that were bogging it down from becoming a massive success, updated the presentation considerably and actually gave us a story and characters worth caring about.

If it wasn't for the newcomers and casuals to the series, Fire Emblem would have died and it would have been because of you and every other FE elitest who didn't want things to change or for Intelligent System to shake things up. Because holy crap did Fire Emblem need an Awakening for it was on deaths doorstep. Thankfully Intelligent Systems brought their franchise into the modern era and repainted it into something that everyone can love.

The stories and characters for both the newest entries into the Fire Emblem series is leaps and bounds more entertaining, more engaging than the utterly generic fantasy story and characters that Fire Emblem was producing before Awakening. No wonder it didn't catch on. No wonder it was so niche and forgotten by many. It lacked entertaining characters and stories, it was holding onto archaic game mechanics and a dated presentation.

Awakening and Fates single handedly sold more than all the Fire Emblem games combined, and that is all the proof I need that the quality of the games is FAR better than those before it. So keep telling yourself the writing, characters and story are garbage, because there are at least a million others who would strongly disagree. Keep living in your jaded and archaic mindset of how things should be and keep holding onto to that snobby and pretentious attitude. The freaking casuals and newcomers kept the series alive, not you or your elitist fellows.

Re: AM2R And Pokémon Uranium Nominations Revoked At 2016 Game Awards

Lucina

I love it when people say, "This was a bad PR move from Nintendo. It's going to hurt them in the long run and sales for their games is going to decrease."

If you haven't realized by now that Nintendo has stopped caring what other people think of them for over a decade, then that's just sad. Nintendo doesn't care if a few whiny fanboys are upset over this. What those "creators" did was illegal and therefore, Nintendo took action, like a responsible company should. And those who are complaining about all of this? You're the minority. The shrill voice in the background that Nintendo stopped listening to long ago. Keep prattling about how you disagree with this, keep calling them archaic, and so forth.

At the end of the day, Nintendo's going to press forward no matter what. They've tuned out those who support crap like this and have moved on. You will never be able to sway them to think otherwise and they know, as I know, that this move will hardly affect them at all. But keep telling yourself that it will, cause I guarantee you it won't. Nintendo isn't phased by petulant whining and rule breakers.

Re: Project CARS Isn't Planned to Appear on the Nintendo Switch

Lucina

@AVahne Or maybe it's just because they're lazy buggers like most other western developers. But no, blame Nintendo for the incompetence of third party developers, especially this one who promised a Wii U version, and could have easily scaled back to have it on the Wii U, but instead ripped off Wii U owners cause they're freaking lazy. If you promise something and then go back on your promise, for whatever reason it may be, you better expect some pissed off consumers. But honestly, from what I've heard of the game, Wii U owners aren't exactly missing much given how mediocre the game is.

When exactly are we going to hold third party developers to certain standards instead of just casually blaming it on weak hardware from Nintendo? Third party developers seem to get away with pretty heinous crap, but when Nintendo makes a mistake, it's like they just committed genocide given the overrreactions I see from gamers. There's some serious double standards going on when it comes to Nintendo and third parties, and frankly, I'm tired of it. We need to hold third parties and certain indie developers responsible instead of casting blame on Nintendo for all their third party woes.

Re: Shigeru Miyamoto is Now 64 Years Old

Lucina

Happy Birthday, Shigeri Miyamoto! Thank you SO much for being a child at heart, for creating so many of my past memories through the games you've created or helped create. Thank you for continuing to innovate despite it not always working out. Thank you for inspiring many other developers in the hopes of reaching the kind of quality and care you put into your games.

Thank you from the bottom of my gamer heart! May you continue to innovate and push Nintendo to greater heights, regardless of the negativity that gamers throw your way.

Re: Rumour: Nintendo Switch Will Have Super Mario And Skyrim At Launch, Splatoon Coming As Pack-In

Lucina

If this rumour is true, it will be a superb 1,2,3, knockout punch from Nintendo. Having a new 3D Mario games, an open world RPG in the form of Skyrim Remastered, and the incredible popular new IP from Nintendo that took this Wii U by storm, Splatoon, all three of these games will be system sellers for the Switch. And that's just three of the games we know that may or may not be there at launch, never mind what games are in the launch window like Mario Kart 8 Remastered or even a Smash Bros Wii U Remastered, which is looking more and more likely given we've yet to hear anything about the last three DLC characters amiibo's.

Overall, the Switch is looking to take the gaming world by storm, and if this rumour proves true, it most certainly will. 😄

Re: EA Executive Clarifies Scope of Nintendo Switch Support, but is Cautious of Its Prospects

Lucina

I can't remember the last time I cared about a game from EA or those under EA. Not big into shooters or sport games, so that doesn't leave much else for individuals like myself. That and the games I have purchased from EA have either asked me to pay $50 for what should have been part of the game, (Battlefront), were ruined by EA (Mass Effect), or worse.

I couldn't care less about EA anymore. Same goes for most of Ubisoft and Activision.

Re: Super Mario Run Jumps Onto iOS on 15th December, Priced $9.99 for Full Unlock

Lucina

@HappyMaskedGuy
"I'm honestly amazed that people are complaining about this here. Nintendo has a new hit on its hands- why on Earth would any right minded Nintendo fan not want the company to maximise their profits from this?? Do people honestly think that any iOS games that are cheaper than this will be anywhere near the same quality?
I mean seriously guys- let's be grown ups here. Stop whining."

I couldn't agree more. This just proves yet again that gamers can be some of the most entitled human beings in existence. $10 is not much. I can literally go to the bottle depot now, exchange my bottles and receive around $10 for them. One hour at a minimum wage job can produce that much. Start saving up for it right now. It really is not hard for most 1st world countries to produce $10 for a game and still be able to pay the bills, rent, for food, ect.

It's really sad to see that most people here think $10 for a game is pricy when freaking Square Enix sells their games for $15-20, they sell like hot cakes and they get away with that with very few blinking an eye, but if Nintendo releases a full game experience for $10 that you know will be a quality game, that's just stupid and clearly Nintendo doesn't know anything about the mobile market. rolls eyes I seriously hate how so many gamers think these days. It makes my head hurt just thinking about how entitled most gamers are these days and how much double standards occur between Nintendo and the rest of the industry.

Re: Review: Pokémon Sun and Moon (3DS)

Lucina

This could be the game that surpasses Pokemon Heart Gold and Soul Silver for me, my favourite Pokemon games of all time. Either way, I have Pokemon Moon already preloaded and ready to go. 😄

Re: Review: Pokémon Sun and Moon (3DS)

Lucina

@kastark If someone says the 3DS is not a hot system, they either are in denial, hate fun, or are just plain ignorant. Perhaps all of the above. Either way, the over 60 million 3DS owners say otherwise and are much more wiser when it comes to gaming. That and they actually love to have fun, unlike those who say the 3DS is not "hot." 😒

Re: Weirdness: Nintendo Commissions a Survey to Try and Sell Mario Party Star Rush to Guilty Parents

Lucina

@ottospooky Cause we must get upset over everything Nintendo does now these days and put it under a microscope for scrutiny, regardless of how asinine or pointless it is. That's what "true" Nintendo fans do. heavy sarcasm

It's clever advertising to garner more sales. Exactly how any company should respond to increase sales for a certain game they're selling. Being aggressive and finding unique ways to reach consumers is what good marketing is all about. If people have a problem with this, they need to remove the stick from their rear and grow up. There are better things to complain about than Nintendo's marketing strategy for a single game.

Re: Nintendo Confirms Wii U Production Is Coming To A Close

Lucina

@yomanation Anyone who considers themselves a Nintendo fan or enthusiast would defend such a console. Obviously it had some issues, no one can deny that, but it's pretty sad that so many people hated the Wii U and continually crap on it. Their negativity, including yours, drowns out the positive and dilutes the point of gaming. Having fun. There were so many fun and enjoyable experiences on the Wii U, but Pretendos like yourself only look at the negatives, focus on power and sales, like what most of the industry does, and nitpicks every minor inconvenience, making it sound worse than it actually is.

Positivity, hope, and finding happiness within what has been given is far better than dwelling needlessly on every mistake, every problem, and constantly focusing on the negative. I'd rather you call me a defender of Nintendo, a fanboy, or any other label you wish to give to me and others who revel in positivity and finding solace and gratitude in what is given, rather than what has not been received. Because if I had to think as negativitly as you and half of the others here on this website, I would be a sad and pathetic individual. When something becomes less enjoyable or pleasurable, people move on, but many others seem to dwell on mistakes, dwell on the negative, feed off of it. It's disturbing and it makes me wonder why people like yourself still play video games or Nintendo games when all you do is hate, criticize and belittle others who have positive views or opinions of Nintendo.

Like, I just don't understand that kind of screwed up mentality. What's the point of gaming if all you do is be super critical, negative and act so pompous? It's sad seeing such behaviour and I pity you for being so cruel to others who defend what they like or enjoy.

Re: Nintendo Confirms Wii U Production Is Coming To A Close

Lucina

@Damo You're reporting one thing. GoNintendo is reporting another. It just talks about ceasing production on the two bundles. That's it. There is absolutely nothing on that website that is saying the Wii U production is ending period. It only mentions the two bundles. Your website doesn't even mention that important part, it just makes it sound like Nintendo is ceasing production of Wii U's everywhere and of every kind, which is false.

So how about we come clean and provide accurate information instead of stirring the pot to piss off the uninformed. Your article is click bait, it doesn't provide the full truth and it makes it sound worse than it actually is. You sir are wrong and this is hardly the only time I've seen this website use click bait titles for its article and provide inaccurate information to get a reaction.

Do some actual journalism by providing the whole truth, not make it sound far worse than it actually is. It's dishonest and it makes you look foolish.

I'm sick and tired of this website stirring up the masses with such click baity titles and articles that don't provide the full truth. Learn to act like respectable journalists cause this article and how it's represented says otherwise.

Re: Nintendo Confirms Wii U Production Is Coming To A Close

Lucina

@Damo No, it's not Nintendo, it's you and the sites shoddy journalism that is at fault here. You make it sound like Nintendo is ending production of Wii U's everywhere when it's only Wii U bundles in Japan! JAPAN! Here's the proof.

http://gonintendo.com/stories/268295-nintendo-declares-ending-of-wii-u-bundles-in-japan

Maybe NintendoLife should focus less on click bait articles and instead deliver accurate information.

Re: Looks Like Nintendo Has A Sense Of Humour About The Wii U's Failure

Lucina

I love my Wii U. Easily the best Nintendo home console I've owned, especially considering the backwards compatibility within. I've never boughten so many games for a home console before and enjoyed them all pretty throughly. It's definitely a quality over quantity type of system with games like Super Mario Maker, Super Mario 3D World, Donkey Kong Country Tropical Freeze, New Super Mario Bros U, Pikmin 3, Splatoon, Xenoblade Chronicles X, Yoshi's Wooly World, Hyrule Warriors, Wind Waker and Twlight Princess HD, Mario Kart 8, Smash Bros Wii U, and so much more.

I loved being able to play my games away from the constraints of the TV. I loved seeing Nintendo games in HD for the first time. I loved many hours I put into games like Super Mario Maker, Splatoon, Mario Kart 8, Xenoblade Chronicles X and Smash Bros. I love how I can still enjoy the games I've listed above and more, even after playing them many times over. I can't really say that about other games on PC, PS4 or Xbox One. I loved Miiverse and the community that grew from it.

The Nintendo Wii U is probably my second favourite console, right behind the Nintendo 3DS, and I've owned a SNES, N64, GameCube, Wii and all the handhelds Nintendo produced. I've played games for over 20 years now and I will fondly remember the Wii U, despite its struggles and flaws.

Re: Animal Crossing: New Leaf Update Is Available Now

Lucina

@SLIGEACH_EIRE You're right, not everything Nintendo does is positive, nobody is denying that, but not one single company nor individual is perfect. They all have flaws and weaknesses. But Nintendo seems to get WAY more flack for some pretty asinine reasons. People just love to hate on Nintendo and be negative about them. It's ok to be critical, but there comes a point where constructive criticism can become being nasty just because you dislike something.

Also, it's best not to treat video games so seriously. I think being passionate is fine, but there comes a point where being too passionate can make you either a deluded fanboy or someone so negative, they in turn push their negativity on others and revel in people they disagree in. You're one such individual. Too caught up in the negative to see the good right in front of you, and being a real jerk about your views. It's almost like you desire to find conflict and have others challenge your opinions.

Word of advice, try to be grateful for what is given to you and what you currently have. You'll quickly realize it's not as bad as it seems in terms of Nintendo, life and all things in general. Again, I believe it's fine to be somewhat critical here and there, but it can consume you and turn you into someone full of negativity and a sour view of what you enjoy.

Re: Animal Crossing: New Leaf Update Is Available Now

Lucina

@AyeHaley Notice how he didn't even comment on the point you made about the Amiibo he was tearing apart. Classic, soulless gamer. Doesn't use logic but only likes to be a joyless douchebag cause he wants others to be void of a joy and happiness as well.

Like literally, almost every comment I've seen of his has been negative. Its quite sad when you really think of it. Someone who is so focused on the negative and can only see the negative of everything truly is a pitiable individual. It's sad really. Sad and pathetic, and they will never admit it to themselves until they're older and wondered why they got so intense over freaking Nintendo and video games.

Re: Animal Crossing: New Leaf Update Is Available Now

Lucina

@ericwithcheese2 Nintendo not taking itself seriously with their Directs is what makes them so entertaining and charming. It wasn't some boring, bland or pretentious presentation. It was light, charming and cute, just like Animal Crossing. I wish more people would have this mindset instead of calling it cringy or kiddie.

Re: Animal Crossing: New Leaf Update Is Available Now

Lucina

@SLIGEACH_EIRE Perhaps you should lighten up a bit and then such a direct won't be so cringy for you. Animal Crossing is also one of those games targeted at a younger audience, thus, the direct would follow suit. Not everything Nintendo does has to appeal to jaded Nintendo fans like yourself.

Re: Here Are Your New My Nintendo Rewards

Lucina

Are people actually complaining about discounts? It's a free service that they do not have to do if they so wish it. They could easily say, "screw you entitled fanboys, you're not getting anything anymore with that disgusting attitude." Like, holy crap, the entitlement in this comment section is very telling of how messed up the thinking of gamers are in today's society. That they deserve free games and every game should be discounted heavily. Be grateful you're getting anything! Discounts for Xenoblade and Earthbound are awesome, especially for those who have yet to experience them, and I suspect that's still a large portion of the Nintendo fan base. But games are superb JRPG's, so I really fail to see the issue here.

In fact, all I see is a bunch of children acting out and whining cause they can't get free games and physical rewards. Oh boo boo, cry me a freaking river you deplorable, entitled babies. Life goes on. The fact that so many people are complaining about this just shows me how screwed up the mentality of gamers are these days, and society in general.

Life is not fair. Things are not always given to you as you would like them. That's just a part of life and something you need to realize. Some things are worth complaining about in order to bring about change. A free discount service that doesn't have to exist is not one of them. If there's nothing there for you, oh well, move on. I'm sure thousands of others will enjoy the discounts available.

I am so sick and tired of people whining about the most asinine crap. Grow up, you spoiled little brats and stop treating everything that doesn't appeal to you or goes your way as some affront to your very being. You disgrace yourself and those around you with your spoiled little princess act. It's disgusting! It's revolting! And it makes you all look like utter fools!

Be grateful you're even get anything. I swear, gamers are some of the most entitled little snobs I have ever had the displeasure of meeting. Arrogant, self-righteous, ignorant and petty. It makes me sick and I feel ashamed as a fellow gamer when I see such a deplorable display of entitlement.

Re: Fans "Shouldn't Assume" That The Nintendo Switch Reveal Trailer Features "Actual Game Footage"

Lucina

@naut Not denial, it's just common sense. It's logic based on facts, mixed with previous rumours earlier this year. I am 100% confident that all those games shown will be playable on the Switch. We've heard rumours of upgraded ports of Mario Kart 8 and Splatoon, we heard from Miyamoto that he was working on a new Mario, Bethesda supporting them means you can bet your bottom one of their key franchises is going to be there at launch, and given how heavily the trailer focused on it, it's Skyrim Remastered.

Call me delusional, a Nintendo fanboy, a moron, whatever you want to call me. I could really care less. The evidence to support that the games in the trailer are going to happen is there. It's cynical individuals like yourself who are in denial.

Re: Fans "Shouldn't Assume" That The Nintendo Switch Reveal Trailer Features "Actual Game Footage"

Lucina

Every game that was shown in that trailer is confirmed. I don't care what some paid actor says. Bethesda has already shown their support on Twitter and the developers page, we've heard rumours prior that Nintendo was creating upgraded ports of Mario Kart 8 and Splatoon, and Miyamoto has already confirmed a new Mario game in development. So I find it hard to believe that besides Breath of the Wild, the rest are just shown for trailer hype purposes. Not only that, but why create new assets for existing games if you're only going to show them in the Switch reveal trailer.

This guy can say whatever he wants, I'm going to assume the heck out of this trailer due to the evidence I just provided above. And nothing can sway me from believing they aren't coming to the Switch.

Re: Preview Trailer of the Nintendo NX Confirmed for 20th October

@YellowFighter Do you get some sick enjoyment from belittling Nintendo or something? Did they hurt you somehow? Did they assassinate someone you love? There's honestly reason why you should sound like such a piece of crap about a freaking video game company. It's beyond pathetic and quite shameful.

Individuals like yourself are what is wrong with this industry.

Re: The Art of Fire Emblem: Awakening Book is Now Just Days Away

@Sakuraichu "I hate Awakening so I won't get this."

Unnecessary comment is unnecessary. You could have just, ya know, not said anything if you didn't like it instead of promoting another art book and bashing the game the art comes from. Really doesn't add anything to the conversation besides making you sound like an elitist tool.

If that's what you were hoping to accomplish, great job! 👍🏻 Why do people feel the need to attack something from a game they don't like when obviously it doesn't appeal to them in the slightest? If you don't like it, that's fine, but don't be such a douchebag about it. It invalidates your opinion by quite a bit.

Re: Pokémon Sun And Moon's File Size Is The Stuff Of Legends

My entire 3DS game library is digital, excluding my Fire Emblem Fates: Special Edition game cart, and all of it is stored onto a 128GB micro SD card, so I'm not worried at all about the file size. I moved completely to digital with my handhelds due to the fact that I switch between games quite frequently on portable systems, thus, investing in digital only has proved quite fruitful for me.

Re: Talking Point: Nintendo Has No Set Formula for Hardware Reveals, But NX is Testing Fans' Patience

Who cares about the NX right now. There are plenty of games to play on the Wii U, 3DS, PS4, PS Vita, Xbox One or PC. I really don't understand why gamers don't just occupy their time by playing games on those systems instead of constantly wondering about the NX. There are enough games to satisfy anyone until the NX launches. Or take up another hobby while you wait. Read a book, go outside, do community service, whatever makes you feel good. Just stop worrying and waiting for the NX and move on for the time being until it's officially announced. No sense getting upset or hyped for rumours and speculation.
