Picked this up yesterday . Loving it so far . Very well done. Definitely worth getting if you have not played it before . Doubly so for me as I have never played minecraft . The visuals and DQ tie in makes this infinitely more inviting to me over Minecraft .

Glad to hear this reviews well. Was very intrigued when I first heard about it . Literally had my hands on it today when shopping for a couple games but went with DQ Builders and XC2 Torna instead . Price is a bit on the steep side and I am sure it will get a sale shortly down the road . That being said , I will definitely pick it up at some point .

And what an exciting day ! Going to pick up a new Switch ( sent mine with my daughter to college in the fall) been without too long

For that it will either be a second run through Xenoblade 2 , or trying out DQ builders or Dragons Dogma for the first time . Can’t decide

Did not mean to put the implication out there that I thought they should keep the 3ds going strong from a development standpoint . It is just such a huge and amazing library that there will be quality games to play for years going forward . Especially if you are a JRPG nut like me .

And why would anyone not want more quality games to come out for a system you love should developers wish to make the effort to bring those games to market for said system with a huge install base ? People not wanting more good games ... I don’t understand

I am also fully in the camp of doing anything to continue this meteoric rise of the Switch . No reason they can’t do that and also continue to roll out a nice release here and there for 3DS. Or if they choose not to ... groovy! I will still be buying and playing games on it for years .. that was my only point

I still have years of play left . So many games I have not played yet . Best system of all time in my opinion

A double dip of Mario.. Odyssey and Mario + Rabbids . Got home from work and popped in Odyssey for almost 2 Hours and had to make myself stop .... absolutely magical so far. I really want to start another play through of BOTW on hard mode with pro controller , but there are so many damn awesome games either already downloaded on my Switch or coming retail it is crazy.

Whatever I get , or already have will be back Burnered on October 27

It is ridiculous how all over this I will be when it comes out .. looks awesome .. has shot right to the top of an already huge wish list . No idea how I am going to play all these games , but I am sure going to try !

Looks amazing .. hoping for a rich story of great depth.Cannot wait for this one .. I really like the character art and graphic direction.. looks great to me.

Great review.. another game I have got to find a way to get and play in the future. The Switch is really establishing itself and something unique in the console arena. Now , if it can in addition find a way to become an RPG champion like the 3DS has been ... great times ahead !

Definitely waiting on retail .. should be a fix for the issues by then . That being said , releasing a game that requires the memory investment this one does ? Should not be polish / performance issues like this .

System is not on its last legs for me . Late to the party .. have tons of Rpg's and other games to catch up on . Currently playing Shin Megami Tensei IV and loving it . Between Switch and just recently getting a 3ds , I have a hell of alot of awesome gaming ahead . Stoked !

Loved every minute of it .. honestly what they do with VC is what I am most interested in . It already looks like Indie support will be amazing , and we know first party will be super strong. Third party support is picking up steam .. if we can get original release third party support in addition to the ports ...amazing . But VC could be the absolute gravy on top.

Just started this last night . Was scared it would be Wii esque shovel ware but it certainly is not. Very polished and fun . I am no rabbids fan , but so far not annoying at all and actually a bit humorous . Just hoping it gets a little deeper and challenging because it is a bit basic in the beginning . Have only played docked so far , mainly because I finally got a Pro controller and man it is cherry. And I love the regular joy con controller . After I finish Mario / Rabbids I plan on taking another spin through BOTW with the pro controller in hard mode before Mario Odyssey come out.
Like I need to play more Zelda LOL!

Gladius was an amazing game . If we get GameCube games on VC ( which would absolutely cement the Switch as one of the best consoles ever IMO) that will be one of the games I would love to see

Don't need it but want it . The more that I look at it though , I am fine with my Galaxy 3ds XL . I really like the interior color on that unit . Really would like a second unit to keep boxed for the inevitable day that my main 3ds craps out. Such a great system .. even though we are at the end of the life cycle , I will still be playing it for years ( just not as much as Switch)

Are there any pics of the inside of the unit/ color ? Black I assume ? Damn I don't need this but ...

I think all 3 of these look good ..especially Splasher. That looks great. I think Old School Musical looks almost as promising . Plan on checking both out

Have had this downloaded for a good while and finally started it up a few days ago. What a fun and original game . I really Think they did an excellent job with the controls .. It truly does feel like playing as a snake . Definite solid purchase for the Switch Eshop. I think the 8 is a spot on score .

If this guy had developed a game 1/10th as good as most of Nintendo's first party output .. I might give a listen . He seems to constantly resurrect himself as some kind of rock star as a result of what ? Developing the Oddworld series ? Give me a break already .

Lol.. my thoughts exactly when I was reading that . Both games going to be so good !

Playing as a mage with dual joy con motion controls has me totally stoked .. could be so immersive . Only draw back at all that I see is the Xenoblade 2 release date . I will be deep , deep into Skyrim again and then have to put it down to play that the moment it releases.

Nice to have problems like that !

Yes it was. It was one of those games I bought and was thinking it would be terrible .. Man was I wrong . Totally enthralled with it and sunk so many hours into it .

Man , if this comes to Switch and there are Dreamcast games I am all over it . I loved the Dreamcast .. my favorite non Nintendo device.

Top end artistic direction and imaginative / creative game design always trumps Teraflops. Breath of the Wild as the most recent example .Could that game Run on PS4 or Xbone ? Absolutely. Could I play those versions at lunch when I am at work? No chance .

Still busy with Zelda, Disagea and Mario kart 8.

Will get Odyssey, Sonic , Mario and Rabbids, Xenoblade 2, Skyrim and Fire Emblem Warriors for Switch.

Ever oasis and Metroid 2 for 3 ds.

Totally don't understand people complaining about a lack of games . I will struggle to be able to play all of these.

It means that if you have played all of the previous prime games and enjoyed them and appreciated them as much as the loyal fans of the series , you would have a measure of confidence / faith that it is going to be a rewarding release/ experience.

Safe to say that both talk of the demise of the 3ds , and concerns over the length of Nintendo's E3 presentation were effectively squashed today.
