@PlayedNSlayed if you grabbed it I hope your enjoying it, it’s hard for me to describe my initial feelings of the game when I first played it, the narrator of the storyline is absolutely amazing. The story is good, gameplay is amazing! Definitely let me know what ya thought.
Id go as far as to assume the main show floor will consist of Fire Emblem, Mario Maker 2 and maybe Animal Crossing or Pokemon.. I have a feeling we’re gonna get some amazing suprised however I don’t think any of them will be coming in 2019. Something tells me Metroid, Luigi’s Mansion, Bayonetta 3 all get pushed back to 2020.
I own Bastion on 3 consoles now, just bought it again today for Switch. 7 bucks. That’s an insanely amazing deal. Obviously so many of you have played Bastion, but if there is anyone out there that hasn’t don’t miss the opportunity to basically get a steal of a deal. Tons of great sales but next to the Steam World games I’d put Bastian right below them.
Man this game is amazing, it may only take 8-10 hours to beat but I’ve put in 15 and still have some stuff to do, I’m taking my time. Searching for every chest and I’m sure DLC content is in the works. Great game, if your deciding between this And other games for me what makes this stand apart is the amazing narrative Imagine and Form have given Steam World over the years. They always show up. They always give good commitment to there games and my gosh does is show! THANK YOU IMAGE & FORM!!!!
@Ggggggg agree 100%. There have been multiple times I’ve purchased a game for 19.99-24.99 and the game has been maybe 10 hours and I’ve beat it in 7 and had no enjoyment what so ever, however every single Steamworld title I have valued and loved. I’ll gladly overpay by 5 bucks if it means there next title will be that much better.
can’t wait to hop back in, haven’t played in a couple months, this will give me a reason to get reacquainted. I’ve seen a couple of my friends break 500 hrs on this game and with this update I’m sure they will be pushing 700 in no time.
Very very impressed with this version, as surprising as it is I have not yet played this game on any console, almost bought it for PS4 but once I found out a Switch version was being released I waited and I’m glad I did. Obviously the Switch version isn’t as pretty but because I use the Switch daily and the productivity of it being able to go wherever I’m glad I bought this version. Great game, worth the wait and price.
@Sheriff I agree, yeah I’ve been waiting for this since a couple years back when they announced it for 3ds. Thankfully a Switch version is gonna be released here in NA. I truly do think it will be a niche type game but with the Switch having a fairly large install base I won’t be surprised to see it do fairly well. Keeping my eyes on this for sure!
@Stocksy your comment is so simple yet so refreshing to read. It shouldn’t matter if you get paid or not to review or play a video game, back when I was a kid I would have been soooo insanely happy with just a free copy of the game or download code. Nowadays to some people that just isn’t enough.. without going into to much detail, what I liked about reading this article is that Dead Cells went against the grain, the developers weren’t afraid to try a different tactic. Makes me happy and optimistic for the future.
@RupeeClock couldn’t agree with you more. I like the idea that simple hard work and dedication can go along way to inflate game sales... even in today’s world where money talks, sponsors are everything and views are as good as gold.
Day One. Honestly for some odd reason I’m more surprised they didn’t try to rerelease 1 and 2 before 3 but luckily the Switch is at least getting one of them.
I absolutely love physical media and if the choice is there I will always go physical. However the fact that Bethesda is supporting Switch at all is a godsend, never mind this game being an all download game. I’d rather have the option of having a box and artwork rather than a regular e shop download, the fact that this game is 30-40 bucks still pulls me in. Regardless I’m gonna support the Switch because it’s the Switch.
@JaxonH @Anti-Matter is the one that I get annoyed about. I’ve read 3-4 of his comments in the past week and almost everyone was about some Pokémon game he got in Japan.
Dang... I’ve been patiently waiting for this release for awhile. However I give the studio props for taking there time with this release. Taking care of it, and not just rushing it out for the Switch.
This is odd because I understand and totally get why it isn’t supported but the fact that this article stated that has made me oddly wonder what it would be like to use the pro controller to play??? Hmmm I’m sure when the game comes out I won’t even care!
Been keeping up with the updates on this game. It looks fantastic and I’m glad it’s coming to the Switch. Like some have stated above I do hope it gets a physical release. If it does I’m assuming it’s gonna be one of those “first comes to the Eshop as a download title then after 5 months the physical release comes out” if that’s the case I don’t know if I will be able to shake off the temptation of getting a downloadable version.. anyways I think this game will do good but like others have stated not as good as OoE. Being optimistic though!
GreZzo definitely helps to make me optimistic about the port. However my backlog on Switch will never shrink if I don’t lay my 3ds on the back-burner for awhile, Would not be surprised to see a “Luigi’s Mansion 3” reveal at E3 since they have the port of “Luigi’s Mansion” going to the 3ds and that product will definitely help to market Luigi’s Mansion 3. Then again what do I know, I’m just a 29 year old who plays his Switch religiously and I’m damn proud of it.
Owlboy is a good game, but sadly I found it fairly short. To short to spend more than 30 bucks. So if the price is right I may snatch it up. Otherwise great game, but for a hefty price it just simply isn’t worth it.
Have this game on Vita. It will be perfect on Switch. It is a niche game but don’t be fooled, it’s got decent difficulty, a decent story, and it’s unique in terms of characters. Taking 8 units into battle is gonna be damn awesome. I think this game will be a hidden gem for sure.
Yeah I’m sorry but Iike others have stated that’s disgusting. Nintendo mise we’ll not even have Switch content. I spend upwards of 500 bucks on games, but in return I’d be lucky if I could even get enough gold coins for 10.00 game. That’s awful, especially when you look at the fact that Club Nintendo actually gave you physical items for less .
Wow, this game looks horrible. I hope there not counting on it being a successful launch because looking at these comments I’ve only seen maybe 1 or 2 positive comments which honestly I can’t remember ever seeing comments being so against a game even Federatikn Force was more positive lol.
Not surprised. I can tell you guys right now, that Xenoblade Chronicles 2 will be in My Nintendo Switch for the next 2 months at least. I just recently played and tried to beat Xenoblade Chronicles 3D before the new one came out but sadly I didn’t make it, I still have 10 or so hours left and I don’t feel like spending the rest of the day playing a game I had already beaten twice. My point is, is that Xenoblade has quickly Became one of my favorite RPG’s and the Switch is lacking in that department. At Midnight, say hello to the best RPG on Switch and hell, maybe even the Best game available on Switch. Yeah yeah yeah I know Breath of the Wild or Odyssey but from earlie reviews it also looks like you can make a strong case for Xenoblade 2 as well. Anyways I hope everyone here gets there copy and is able to go home, sit down, relax and play this beautiful game. I hope this game surprises Nintendo and sells enormously well also.
I was curious to play, although the game isn’t broken, I do very much so understand when you say the jet ski feels more like an animal bucking you off than it does an actual water vehicle. I’d strongly suggest anyone interested to not even throw money towards this game unless it’s under 5 bones.
Have yet to buy this, but I've been meaning to. After this article I think I'm gonna be buying this today. I'm gonna have to get it on my 3ds though mainly because it travels with me everywhere lately so I figure I'll get most of the playing time out of that. Any other "download only" titles I should check out? Kirby's Blowout Blast anyone? I got a $20 e shop card so I'm trying to spend the rest of it.
I think I read somewhere that you can do sports online against other players. It doesn't have to be local either, if that's the case I'll def be buying this.
I literally bought Gunstar Heroes 2 days ago... Oh well, it was worth the $5.99, I'll definitely be picking up Streets of Rage 1 and 2 (so I can relive my childhood) I'm strongly debating Out Run as out well, because I've herd multiple sources say 3D Out Run is one of the best games on the 3ds period.
I just want the game as it was meant to be played. Games shouldn't be changed based upon regions, it doesn't make sense to me. If you can turn on Tv and see a girl in a swimsuit you should be able to play a game with a girl in a swimsuit.
I'm currently playing birthright and it's one of the best games I've ever played. I love everything about it, I kinda wanna finish it ASAP so I can move onto conquest but I'm most excited for revelation. For all the people in the UK who are wondering, yes the hype has died a bit but this game or set of games is more addicting than awakening in my opinion so if you loved that game then it's a no brainier to buy these new ones.
I'm calling it right now, this is the type of title that ends up being a hidden gem later on in the future. There's something about this game that interests me, it seems like a game to keep an eye on for sure!
Paper Jam for me, I just recently best Bowsers Inside Story and I hope to play Superstar Saga as well. I must say I'm a bit surprised more haven't voted for Paper Jam but maybe it's not as popular as I would have thought.. Especially with Final Fantasy Explorers coming out Tuesday the 26th. Can't wait for next Month. The Releases are gonna be crazy with Fire Emblem, SoS: Return to Popolocrois, Project X Zone 2, Mega Man Legacy Collection and the original Pokemon Games.. This 3DS drout ends tomorrow!
