@twztid13 I honestly have to ask whether you have actually read what I wrote. I already countered most of what you just said...
But ok, the comparison with the new 3DS is new, so let's get at that:
First of all, you are selling the new 3DS massively short, as there are a lot of games with vastly improved performance compared to the standard model, plus improved 3D. That 3D alone wasn't even available in a lot of later games if you only had the old model. Playing on the old 3DS was almost painfull on quite a few later games, I can talk from experience (ever tried Hyrule Warriors on the old model for example?). If you don't care about these enhancements, that is fine, it is your opinion. You should be aware though, that there are tons of people who would take an upgrade like the new 3DS in a haertbeat, including me.
Secondly: I have no idea why you are comparing the 3DS with the Switch when the situation is completely different. The Switch has a massive upgrade potential even if just with the resolution alone and as a partly home console standards like higher resolutions are being expected of a new model, whether it is a Switch Pro or a Switch 2. The new 3DS was not in that kind of position.
Another thing to mention: You said I was specifically talking about the home portion part of the Switch, which you say is not as relevant for some reason. I honestly don't even want to get into that discussion, because it is irrelevant for my argument anyway. I talked about the home console part as a simple example, because I didn't want to write "home this and portable that" in every sentence. My entire argument works with the portable part of the Switch as well.
As for the rest: Maybe we can get further if I ask you a question first: What exactly do you think we would get from a Switch 2? And I do want a bit of detail here, what kind of games that couldn't be on the regular Switch and in what resolution and with what framerate. For example: "PS5 games in 1080p 30 fps while in handheld" would be a valid answer to this question. I am honestly not sure what you are expecting, that is why I am asking.
@twztid13 @veesonic Switch games have a lot of room for improvement even if it is just about upgrading the resolution or better overall performance. I seriously doubt that a Switch 2 could be anything more than that either.
Let's just say a Switch Pro could play all the current games in native 4k/60fps (tv mode). For the game developers this would still be very easy to implement (even as a patch) if the console just has enough horsepower. But the hardware required to just achieve that seems unrealistic while maintaining a healthy price point that people are willing to pay, unless the Switch Pro ditches the mobility.
So if a Switch Pro can't realistically be powerful enough to support even simple upgrades for existing games to their fullest, what would the advantage of a Switch 2 be? Just like the Switch Pro, the Switch 2 could have as powerful as possible hardware without being too expensive, so both consoles would then be on the same level as well. This means the Switch 2 would essentially still just be able to play games on the same graphical level as the current Switch 1, but with higher resolution or performance. In that case there wouldn't be any difference between a Switch 2 or a Switch Pro.
Why do people want a Switch Pro? Simple, they want as much of those upgrades as possible and a Switch 2 wouldn't be able to do more than that anyway. Hardware just isn't there yet.
Basically, all of this is because Switch 1 struggles with performance in some games and at the same time 4k becoming the standard resolution for games. You need far better hardware than the current Switch just to achieve that and there is no reason why such a Switch wouldn't just play the same games as the old Switch just with better resolution/performance. There is barely any work involved for devs to support both systems in that case.
All of this, of course, is only correct as long as the Switch 2 truely is only a hardware upgrade and not a different kind of system. In that case we have a completely different discussion.
Are you really arguing that there might be people who specifically like plottholes?
I have never even heard of anyone thinking that and I have seen a whole ton of discussions about those matters. Whenever someone defends a plotthole in any story they always either argue that the plotthole didn't matter to them or they try to explain how that is not a plotthole. And why would anyone like plottholes in the first place?
This is almost like me saying that "no one likes being involved in a car crash" and you asking "how did you determine that?". Only difference is that the "I don't care" faction should be a lot smaller in that case as well.
@Purgatorium Again, we are arguing about the obvious right now. Who likes plottholes for example?
Avoiding a plotthole is, on an individual basis, either a good thing or irrelevant. Or did you ever see a story where you thought "man, I really like how this didn't make any sense!" (apart from comedy, that genre is kind of an exception to everything).
The obvious conclusion for a writer should be to avoid plottholes as much as possible.
@Purgatorium Yes, but if you have something you could implement, that can only be seen as a positive, but never as a negative, then there is never an objective reason not to implement that, unless you are not capable of doing it, in which case you would not be a good writer, since you are incapable of implementing something that would make your story better for the average consumer.
Your argument only works on single individuals. What you, as an individual, like and wether you care about something, is entirely subjective, of course. It still would not hurt to avoid i.e. plottholes, which are the easiest example of an objective fault in a story.
@Purgatorium Common knowledge? I am not sure how to answer that, since we are kinda arguing about obvious things right now.
Why do you think people get mad about spoilers? Every single person who does not want to get spoiled for a story proves this point already.
And even if that is not a majority, it would still be irrelevant to what I am saying. As long as you have two factions, one which does care and one which does not care, it will be objectively better to avoid too much predictability as then both factions are happy instead of just one.
@Purgatorium Wanting to know how it progresses and how it will end is generally a major drive for experiencing a story. If a story is predictable, you take that part away.
On the contrary, there is no advantage in writing a predicatble story (at least not for the story itself), so there is a reason to avoid predictability when writing a story, but not a reason to deliberatley make it predictable. Therefore, when writing a story, you should try to avoid being too predictable.
@Purgatorium A story can always be objectively bad, just like pretty much everything can be objectively bad. Predictability is objectively a problem, If the story ist supposed to have a certain complexity.
But just because something is objectively an issue does not mean that you need to care about it.
In short: There can be an objective problem, that you subjectively don't care about.
And of course just having an issue doesn't automatically make a product bad either as it could have other strengths to make up for it. But the product would be better without that issue, even if just a little.
Products with a lot of objective problems tend to be less liked by the masses, which means there is value in measuring it (though that can be hard, depending in the case, as you can't ignore personal opinions that easily).
This would probably require a port on a similar level as a Witcher 3 port... which has happened, as we all know.
Considering how the combat works and how the devs want to make the game as realisitc as possible, I somehow started thnking about motion control. A direct control of a sword through motion (similar to Red Steal 2) should be very much possible without even changing much mechanically. Archery by actually simulating a bow with both Joy Cons kinda makes sense as well, as this game is quite a bit more challenging than most games anyway, in that regard.
The fact that this game could work so well with motion controls makes me think this could be a reason for the port. They want to get as realistic as possible, directly swinging your sword kinda assists in that. Everything can be made optional of course.
Some comments about this confuse me again. This guy allegedly did something illegal which causes damages for someone else. Him getting sued for this is just the obvious thing that would and should happen?
Even if there are others to go after or you think it is not that bad or something, the facts just remain. If I personally lose money because of the illegal action of someone else, I would sue as well, who wouldn't?
@Josh2396 I don't care whether the company cares about me or not, just as I don't care about people I have never met before in that sense. However, if someone gets damaged through someone else breaking the law than none of this matters to me, they have the right to sue, period.
@Noid
As a german, this is the first time hearing these games are popular. Perhaps for parents buying a cheap game for their little children or something.
The original game that started this franchise was fairly big but that is about it.
Personally I think these games are only being made, because they are incredibly cheap to make and you can always find at least some people buying this.
@GrailUK I am with you on that. To me, wanting a service more like PS+ or Live, seems just incredibly selfish. I just want to be able to play online, which shouldn't cost anything but with Nintendo at the very least it is very cheap.
The other services do not offer ME anything I actually care about, so if I only want to play online the Sony and Microsoft services are just objectively much worse. Those people who like all the "free" stuff they are getting on other systems should be aware that a huge part of the bills are being payed by people who have to pay even if they don't want to at all.
But of course, from the perspective of someone who wants these "free" games it is great to have others pay for part of the bill.
@Mr-Fuggles777 The problem with comparing the online services is that it completely depends on the personal situation.
I, for example, usually buy games that interest me the most and I also usually have enough games, that I don't bother with games that I care less for. That means, that PSN and Xbox Live "free games" effectively offer me nothing, as every single game they give me is either something I already have or something that I don't care enough about for it to matter. If you really wanted to play Oddworld (using your example), didn't buy it yet for some reason and now got it for free => great for you, the service fee you are paying was 100% worth it for you that year. If I wasn't planning to buy Oddworld anyway, than I only got a game I don't care about enough to buy it anyway, making it almost worthless. I can tell myself "I got this expensive game for free!!!" but in reality I paid for it through a fee with money that I wouldn't have spend at all otherwise.
For me the only point that remains is: I want to be able to play online. Of all 3 consoles Nintendo offers me that for the least amount of money. It is bad that we have to pay for that in the first place, but the others are still worse.
If you think that NSO is so much worse than the other services, than that might very well be correct for you, but not for everyone.
@CheapCheepBeach Sure, but the processing power is mainly provided by special components, which in turn could easily be standard in a new NVidia chip. Apart from that, the costs are low enough that it would be 100% worth it, I dare say.
@rjejr Your experience with upgrading from an SD tv to HD is exactly the reason why consoles do the upscaling themselves. If your tv happens to be bad at it, the result can look pretty bad. If the console does it itself, the upscaling quality of the tv is out of the picture. (Though, to be fair, back then at the beginning of the HD era, upscaling tended to be a much bigger issue for tvs than now.)
Besides, as I just mentioned, with a Switch 4k we would probably look at DLSS, which is also a type of upscaling just much better than the usual and something Sony and Microsoft do not even have access to right now. Considering how standard DLSS seems to become with NVidia, I wouldn't even be surprised if this essentialy ends up as a free upgrade from Nintendos perspective.
@Azuris @Gus_Campos If they go with 4k support, it almost certainly means DLSS, which effectively doesn't cost performance. No one knows what they are planning, but 4k, in this case, doesn't mean that you can't get your other wishes.
@path4smash @Chris77 Monster Hunter is a game where experience in playing it plays a massive role, your skill is more important than anything else. The game gives you harder and harder and harder monsters to fight and it feels never ending in that regard. Monster Hunter can somehow always get even harder and you also will always still have room to grow as a player.
What happens when you skip several steps along the way? Naturally you will get destroyed and that is what happens in the demo when you fight Mizutsune, if you haven't played previous Monster Hunter games. As a new player, beating Mizutsune in that demo is not something you need to be able to do. Don't worry about it.
@Exciter89 Flinches like that wouldn't make much sense for a game like Monster Hunter. I mean, fights can take up to 50 minutes (which is rare, but still) and depending on your weapon and how good you are you can hack onto the monster constantly, multiply that by 4 in multiplayer. Just how many times is there a flinch animation supposed to repeat in what amount of time?
Fights in Monster Hunter also tend to behave much more like bossfights in other games, where you usually do not get as much of a reaction from the boss either.
These kind of reactions of a monster are also things you can and should punish when they happen, meaning the game would become much easier as well if they flinch more.
Think of it like you are trying to get through the thick skin of the monster which barely feels your attacks at first.
@Northwind They still do that though. The paid DLC, in form of cosmetics, just comes on top of that.
Only exception to all of this is the "Ultimate" version of the game, that was practically a big DLC pack that they always had for Monster Hunter. Just in that case you had to buy the entire game with the DLC included again. You could call that "paid DLC", it just wasn't downloaded.
@BulbasaurusRex Yes, selling games to minors ist restricted in Germany. That does not only apply to 18+ games but to all ratings. Shops are not allowed to sell a 12+ rated game to an 11 years old child either.
So what you wrote fully applies here too. While children might have found ways to get around it (found a store that doesn't care; parents who don't care, etc.), at least it will create a wall for some children and raise an eyebrow for some parents.
@Clammy So the daughter was actually talking to her own father over voice chat and the mother writes an articel about that? That would be awesomely stupid.
@MrMichaelJames It's true that a modern chip might be able to handle 1080p with the same power consumption as the current chip does 720p. That modern chip with 720p would have far lower power consumption than the current one though and the Switch is not very good in terms of battery life currently. A new chip with the 720p screen could potentially solve that problem.
Also, in my experience and on this screen size, OLED can easily have a greater impact on the picture quality than a 1080p lcd screen would have. OLED 720p is also probably still more expensive than 1080p lcd, so we can't really say Nintendo is being cheap here either. 1080p OLED would be even better of course (if the games actually run in 1080, which I doubt happens all the time), but let's be honest the price for that screen would directly be paid by us, they would just make the entire Switch Pros price higher.
Personally I think a 720p OLED screen is the best case scenario since, no matter how you frame it, 720p will mean lower power consumption overall. On that screen size 720p also isn't really that bad in the first place (phones screens are massive overkill in that regard).
So to summarize: 1. 1080p is pretty much only an advantage if the game actually runs in that resolution, that will not always be the case. 2. OLED will already provide a much better picture quality, even without 1080p. 3. We can expect much better battery life in an 720p OLED setup, which I think the Switch could really use (unless the better chip is mainly used for better overall graphics, increasing the power consumption again. That would be fine by me as well.)
All that is assuming that the new Switch is significantly more powerful than the old one. If that is not the case, than a 1080p screen would make no sense in the first place.
@MrMichaelJames You are missing the problem. A higher res screen might not use up much more battery, but the hardware behind that, which now has to run the game in 1080p, definitly does.
Rendering the game in 720p than upscaling it to 1080p just to use a portable 1080p screen does not make too much sense either, as upscaling always means a loss of quality. Chances are that the same game would actually look better on a 720p screen if it is only rendering in 720p anyway.
@Seacliff Funny, I mostly see the opposite. Those who like Sword and Shield mostly seem like they just wanted a new Pokemon game and are happy with what they got, nothing more, nothing less. Far from "praising it to the heavens".
Meanwhile there are tons of fans who hate this gen to hell, as if it was one of the worst games of the last decade, even though it didn't even change too much from previous entries. All the while downright attacking anyone who just doesn't agree to their extremely negative stance by labeling them stuff like "part of the problem" as if they are not allowed their own opinion.
At least that is what it looks like to me on sites like this one.
Pretty much what I expected after Sword and Shield. The wild area ist basically like a first try open world kind of thing. This goes one further.
Still needs a lot of polishing though. Considering it sounded like we just have this one hub city and we haven't seen much in terms of npc in that city, I fully expect that there is still a lot missing in the current version.
I can understand being offended by stuff like that, if horrible things happened to you in the context.
My question would be, who exactly is offended here?
WW2 ended 75 years ago, everyone under the age of 80 should not recall anything bad happening to them under that flag.
Is Street Fighter this popular with the elderly?
Small scale censorship like this doesn't bother me much, but I genuinely wonder who is offended by this stuff and why exactly.
Usually I only hear people basically say, "Oh, but someone ELSE is surely offended!"
Well, I can think of a reason for why they might get someone else for the role.
The way he speaks Mario is not always very understandable this is perfectly fine and iconic for the games, but might be a problem for the movie. Depends on how the movie is structured, dialog wise, and how well he is able to adjust his Mario voice, without losing his identity.
@shazbot Maybe the playstyle I just explained one further up ist interesting for you as well. Greatsword ist not a fast weapon at all, but you stay mobile like this and can pinpoint attacks with control.
@DarthFoxMcCloud Failing at first ist pretty normal, especially if you make some fundamental mistakes in how you approach combat, which is not unlikely since MH is quite different from other games. Might I suggest a simple playstyle for starting out?
Try greatsword: Keep your weapon sheathed and run around trying not to get hit. If you think there is an opportunity, run in and just attack once with X. You do not need to draw your weapon first. This will be a quick attack that deals reasonable damage. Roll away, immediately put away your weapon and start running away again, waiting for the next opportunity. Not getting hit should always be top priority. Also, do not combo.
This might not be the most exiting fight, but you can go from there if it works out.
If you think you have a bigger opportunity, you can try charging your attacks by simply holding X, but be careful with that.
This kind of play can help to get an understanding about how the monsters behave and might be a good starting point.
It is also not completely wrong to play like this with greatsword, as it is very much a hit and run weapon, so it is fundamentally correct to play like this, though there is of course more to it if you want to get really good using it.
Other weapons offer completely different playtstyles, so if this one isn't working out for you, then OK. It's just an idea for how to start.
@SlimPieEats The problem is less about having to "aquire a taste", but more about the game being too different from other games. It is one of the reasons why this game is so good, but also the reason why it is so hard to get into.
If you do everything wrong, the game doesn't feel well, which is normal. I can't fault the game for that.
To me, I took a few hours and from that point on I aquired thousands of hours of fun. That's a good deal in my book. I still don't drink beer though .
If you don't want to take that effort to get into the game, thats your decision. It is not like I can't understand it. Just didn't want to let that comparison to aquiring a taste for beer stand.
I find it kinda interesting that so many interpret this as some kind of market manipulation. I mean true, it kinda is.
But keep in mind that this is really just the shops (thats what they essentially are in this context) refusing to sell any more. This is perfectly ok for them to do in a free market. If this is a problem in your opinion, then you do not want a totally free market, but a certain degree of political market regulation. Not necessarily wrong, but I am not sure everyone is aware of that, especially considering how often I read people wanting a 100% free market while calling everything else immediately "socialist".

Re: Thanks To Switch, Nintendo Has Now Sold Over Half A Billion Handheld Consoles
What is the definition of a handheld game console?
A system you can play games on while holding it in your hands.
What is the definition of a home game console?
A system you can play games on intended to be used at home.
The Switch ticks both of those boxes, so it is both.
Does someone disagree with those definition or why are we arguing about this again?

Re: Review: The Longing - Tedious By Design, And Incredibly Successful At It
@Purgatorium
What are you even asking right now?
Are you really arguing that there might be people who specifically like plottholes?
I have never even heard of anyone thinking that and I have seen a whole ton of discussions about those matters. Whenever someone defends a plotthole in any story they always either argue that the plotthole didn't matter to them or they try to explain how that is not a plotthole.
And why would anyone like plottholes in the first place?
This is almost like me saying that "no one likes being involved in a car crash" and you asking "how did you determine that?". Only difference is that the "I don't care" faction should be a lot smaller in that case as well.
Re: Review: The Longing - Tedious By Design, And Incredibly Successful At It
@Purgatorium
Again, we are arguing about the obvious right now.
Re: Review: The Longing - Tedious By Design, And Incredibly Successful At It
@Purgatorium
Yes, but if you have something you could implement, that can only be seen as a positive, but never as a negative, then there is never an objective reason not to implement that, unless you are not capable of doing it, in which case you would not be a good writer, since you are incapable of implementing something that would make your story better for the average consumer.
Your argument only works on single individuals. What you, as an individual, like and wether you care about something, is entirely subjective, of course.
It still would not hurt to avoid i.e. plottholes, which are the easiest example of an objective fault in a story.
Re: Review: The Longing - Tedious By Design, And Incredibly Successful At It
@Purgatorium
Common knowledge? I am not sure how to answer that, since we are kinda arguing about obvious things right now.
Why do you think people get mad about spoilers? Every single person who does not want to get spoiled for a story proves this point already.
And even if that is not a majority, it would still be irrelevant to what I am saying. As long as you have two factions, one which does care and one which does not care, it will be objectively better to avoid too much predictability as then both factions are happy instead of just one.
Re: Review: The Longing - Tedious By Design, And Incredibly Successful At It
@Purgatorium
Wanting to know how it progresses and how it will end is generally a major drive for experiencing a story.
Re: Review: The Longing - Tedious By Design, And Incredibly Successful At It
@Purgatorium
A story can always be objectively bad, just like pretty much everything can be objectively bad.
Re: Warhorse Rules Out Kingdom Come: Deliverance Switch Release (Again)
Re: Video: Here's Zelda: Twilight Princess Running On An Xbox Series X
Not entirely sure what is even special about this.
If you can install third party software, this should be easy.
Well, as long as there is a compatible emulator, which there basically always is.
Re: Nintendo Is Suing A Reported "Leader" Of The Notorious Piracy Group Team Xecuter
@Josh2396
I don't care whether the company cares about me or not, just as I don't care about people I have never met before in that sense.
However, if someone gets damaged through someone else breaking the law than none of this matters to me, they have the right to sue, period.
Re: Review: Moorhuhn Kart 2 - A Poultry Offering
@Noid
As a german, this is the first time hearing these games are popular. Perhaps for parents buying a cheap game for their little children or something.
The original game that started this franchise was fairly big but that is about it.
Personally I think these games are only being made, because they are incredibly cheap to make and you can always find at least some people buying this.
Re: Random: Nintendo Has Uploaded Its Switch Online Trailer (Again), And It's Still Getting Disliked
@GrailUK
I am with you on that.
Re: Rumour: The Latest Switch Firmware Update Has Apparently Added Bluetooth Audio Support
@Mr-Fuggles777
The problem with comparing the online services is that it completely depends on the personal situation.
For me the only point that remains is:
I want to be able to play online.
Of all 3 consoles Nintendo offers me that for the least amount of money. It is bad that we have to pay for that in the first place, but the others are still worse.
If you think that NSO is so much worse than the other services, than that might very well be correct for you, but not for everyone.
Re: Rumour: Evidence Of A "New" Nintendo Switch Dock Supposedly Datamined In System Update 12.0.0
@CheapCheepBeach
Sure, but the processing power is mainly provided by special components, which in turn could easily be standard in a new NVidia chip.
Apart from that, the costs are low enough that it would be 100% worth it, I dare say.
Re: Rumour: Evidence Of A "New" Nintendo Switch Dock Supposedly Datamined In System Update 12.0.0
@rjejr
Your experience with upgrading from an SD tv to HD is exactly the reason why consoles do the upscaling themselves.
Re: Rumour: Evidence Of A "New" Nintendo Switch Dock Supposedly Datamined In System Update 12.0.0
@Azuris @Gus_Campos
If they go with 4k support, it almost certainly means DLSS, which effectively doesn't cost performance.
No one knows what they are planning, but 4k, in this case, doesn't mean that you can't get your other wishes.
Re: Random: There's A Korok Hidden In This Tiny Recreation Of Link's House From Zelda: BOTW
This Korok is so obvious that he can already be hard to find again.
You could search everywhere but in the end, he isn't even hidden.
Re: Dev Explains Why Nintendo Made Mario's Anniversary Games Limited-Time
Well, as long as they don't do this with actual new games, I personally couldn't care less.
Re: Dev Explains Why Nintendo Made Mario's Anniversary Games Limited-Time
That doesn't really explain why they remove Mario 35 though.
Re: Monster Hunter Rise Ships Four Million Units In Opening Weekend
@path4smash @Chris77
Monster Hunter is a game where experience in playing it plays a massive role, your skill is more important than anything else.
Re: Monster Hunter Rise Ships Four Million Units In Opening Weekend
@Exciter89
Flinches like that wouldn't make much sense for a game like Monster Hunter.
Re: Capcom "Aware" Of Monster Hunter Rise Pose Glitch Preventing Players From Opening Save Files
@Northwind
They still do that though.
Re: Random: A Japanese CEO Is Giving Staff A Day Off To Play Monster Hunter Rise
A Monster Hunter release day should be a world wide holiday anyway.
Re: Review: Kaze And The Wild Masks - A Brilliant Homage To Donkey Kong Country
@SpaceboyScreams @caiozf @nmanifold
Honestly looks like something in between.
The sprites themselves look high quality. Very clean.
The overall style however looks very bland.
Like they had an really good artist, but no good idea for how everything together is supposed to look.
Re: Germany Is Considering An 18+ Rating On Video Games With Loot Boxes
@BulbasaurusRex
Yes, selling games to minors ist restricted in Germany.

That would be awesomely stupid.
Re: Rumour: Nintendo To Reveal New Switch Model With Samsung OLED Display And 4K Support
@MrMichaelJames
It's true that a modern chip might be able to handle 1080p with the same power consumption as the current chip does 720p.
So to summarize:
1. 1080p is pretty much only an advantage if the game actually runs in that resolution, that will not always be the case.
Re: Rumour: Nintendo To Reveal New Switch Model With Samsung OLED Display And 4K Support
@MrMichaelJames
You are missing the problem.
Re: Video: 14 Exciting New Games Coming To Nintendo Switch In March
Since one of the games of this month is Monster Hunter, all other releases are meaningless to me anyway.
So only Monster Hunter it is.
Re: Introducing Pokémon Legends: Arceus, An Open-World Prequel To Diamond And Pearl
@Seacliff
Agreed.
Re: Introducing Pokémon Legends: Arceus, An Open-World Prequel To Diamond And Pearl
Re: Introducing Pokémon Legends: Arceus, An Open-World Prequel To Diamond And Pearl
Re: Controversial Rising Sun Design Removed From Street Fighter II's Re-Release
I can understand being offended by stuff like that, if horrible things happened to you in the context.
My question would be, who exactly is offended here?
WW2 ended 75 years ago, everyone under the age of 80 should not recall anything bad happening to them under that flag.
Is Street Fighter this popular with the elderly?
Small scale censorship like this doesn't bother me much, but I genuinely wonder who is offended by this stuff and why exactly.
Usually I only hear people basically say, "Oh, but someone ELSE is surely offended!"
Re: Charles Martinet Would Love To Voice Mario In Upcoming Illumination Movie
Well, I can think of a reason for why they might get someone else for the role.
The way he speaks Mario is not always very understandable this is perfectly fine and iconic for the games, but might be a problem for the movie.
Depends on how the movie is structured, dialog wise, and how well he is able to adjust his Mario voice, without losing his identity.

Re: Capcom Reveals The Most Used Weapon In The Monster Hunter Rise Demo
@shazbot
Maybe the playstyle I just explained one further up ist interesting for you as well.
Greatsword ist not a fast weapon at all, but you stay mobile like this and can pinpoint attacks with control.
Re: Capcom Reveals The Most Used Weapon In The Monster Hunter Rise Demo
@DarthFoxMcCloud
Failing at first ist pretty normal, especially if you make some fundamental mistakes in how you approach combat, which is not unlikely since MH is quite different from other games.
Might I suggest a simple playstyle for starting out?
Try greatsword:
Keep your weapon sheathed and run around trying not to get hit.
Re: Pokémon Sword And Shield Become First Entries Since Gold And Silver To Surpass 20 Million Sales
Well, it's my favorit generation which is a massive positive leap considering the last gen was easily my least favorit.
It is always interesting to see how many just talk as if people like me, genuinely liking this gen much more than the older ones, don't exist.
Re: Reminder: Enjoy Capcom's "Limited Time" Monster Hunter Rise Demo While You Still Can
@SlimPieEats
The problem is less about having to "aquire a taste", but more about the game being too different from other games.
Re: GameStop Price Tanks As Trading Apps Block Users From Buying More Shares
I find it kinda interesting that so many interpret this as some kind of market manipulation. I mean true, it kinda is.
But keep in mind that this is really just the shops (thats what they essentially are in this context) refusing to sell any more. This is perfectly ok for them to do in a free market.
If this is a problem in your opinion, then you do not want a totally free market, but a certain degree of political market regulation.
Not necessarily wrong, but I am not sure everyone is aware of that, especially considering how often I read people wanting a 100% free market while calling everything else immediately "socialist".
