@Edu23XWiiU It's basically a Famicom w/ a built-in Famicom Network System, which was the modem for the Famicom, that could only run the software that was released for said modem, including, I believe, horse racing & banking.
While the difference between the old & new designs of Donkey Kong are noticeably different, I couldn't tell the difference between the old & new Diddy Kong designs until the article pointed it out to me.
I was really only interested in the Capumon games, & a few months ago I already got an English repro of Capumon GB on Etsy along w/ Capumon Coliseum on Ebay lol.
@Zeebor15 I know CBS Electronics distributed the Colecovision in PAL regions, but I'm pretty sure the Colecovision rights are held by whoever inherited the actual Coleco company. Coleco was a company that existed before they made the Colecovision, they made the Cabbage Patch Kids among other toys, & they started as the Connecticut Leather Company, which Coleco is an abbreviation of.
@croz @gcunit IMO, I highly doubt that a Switch 2 wouldn't keep physical & digital backwards compatibility. At most it only supports 99% of titles instead of 100% & maybe they copy MS & Sony & have both physical & digital only models, IMO.
@nukatha I really wanted to go to that distribution, but I couldn't cuz I'm Jewish & it was on a Saturday. Around that time, though, I caught Mewtwo in LeafGreen, & I nicknamed it, "COMPARES30," since the Mew event was gonna be on September 30th. Eventually, I went to my first in-person Pokemon distribution, which was when they gave out Manaphy at Nintendo World in New York. A little before that they were giving out Manaphy in Toy R Us, but that was also on a Saturday. I did make it to Toys R Us when they gave out Shaymin, Regigigas, Dragonite, & I think Darkrai though. (I forget whether the ALAMOS Darkrai distribution was in Toys R Us or Nintendo World.) Actually, years before all of that, I got the Pokemon Colosseum pre-order bonus disc so I could get Jirachi. I had already pre-ordered the game before I heard about it in Nintendo Power, which also said it was only for people who pre-ordered after a certain date, but we went back to EB Games & they were willing to give me a bonus disc anyways which was nice.
@sanderev @FX102A There was probably only going to be one version, and each time you'd make a new save file, it would create a new, "version," of the game, where'd you have to trade with friends to catch 'em all because the RNG would give different outputs for which Pokemon appeared for each player.
@Marios-love-child Yeah, me too, I also use my Wii U more than my Switch, and also mostly in Wii Mode. Mostly to play VC games, especially F-Zero, (I have a lot of VC games I transferred from my Wii but I've been playing that one the most,) and I recently started Sonic Colors too. Sometimes I'll venture outside Wii Mode to play the Wii U VC's Zapper games with my Wii Zapper, though. (Of those, I have Wild Gunman and Duck Hunt.)

Re: New 'Sonic Universe' Movie Spin-Off Announced For 2028
@NintonicGamer Not sure they'd crossover a series of live action movies w/ CGI characters w/ a fully CGI animated movie series...
Re: PSA: Pokémon YouTube Channel Uploads The First Movie For A "Limited-Time"
@Arawn93 I saw the 5th movie in theaters as a kid & didn't even know until many years later that it was a limited release.
Re: Feature: Farewell, Nintendo Switch - It's Finally Time To Bid Our Old Friend 'Adieu'
Yeah, I'm not bidding my Switch, "adieu," any time soon until they massively drop the Switch 2's price.

Re: Tetris Forever Adds Two More Classic Games In Its "Biggest-Ever" Update
@PKDuckman That may be, but does Nintendo want that for you?
Re: Every 'Yu-Gi-Oh! Early Days Collection' Game Boy, GBC And GBA Title Officially Confirmed

Re: Sonic X Transformers Collab Officially Teased, Photos Leaked Online
@Not_Soos Technically Power Rangers was from the '90s. Although it was an Americanization of a Japanese franchise that began in the '70s.

Re: Konami Announces Yu-Gi-Oh! Classic Collection For Switch, Launching This Year
And I'd hope they'd keep Kaiba's green hair & stuff if they did.
Re: Konami Announces Yu-Gi-Oh! Classic Collection For Switch, Launching This Year
If they made an English version of Yu-Gi-Oh Monster Capsule Breed & Battle, it might slightly pique my interest.
Re: Random: Pokémon Gold & Silver's Male Protagonist Was Apparently A Ninja In The DS Remakes
@Lizuka It's weird, cuz in Pokemon Adventures they're the same person, but in the anime & Pokemon Masters EX they're different people...

Re: Pokémon HOME Support Release Date For Scarlet And Violet "Mistakenly Announced"
@michellelynn0976 The performance issues never bothered me, but the lack of Home support does.
Re: Atari 50: The Anniversary Celebration Features Over 90 Titles, Including Jaguar And Lynx Games
@Kiz3000 They should've just said Jaguar.

Re: Random: These All-In-One SNES And Famicom Consoles Are True Works Of Art
Why not the Famicom and the Super Famicom? Or the NES and the SNES? Not very consistent...
Re: Junichi Masuda Leaves Game Freak For New Role At The Pokémon Company
@TommyTendo Isn't it Shigeru Miyamoto's current role at Nintendo also? I feel like it just means a figurehead.
Re: Pokémon Scarlet & Violet Described As "The First Open-World RPGs In The Series"
I thought Legends Arceus was the first open world Pokemon game.
Re: Former Nintendo Of America Boss Reggie To Appear On G4TV Next Week
@fbnaulin He probably cultivated that cult unpurpose because it's good for business.
Re: Former Nintendo Of America Boss Reggie To Appear On G4TV Next Week
@mrMike Yeah, he probably means, as an executive, he knew it wouldn't sell, but as a gamer, he knows it's a great game.
Re: Rumour: Nintendo Has Apparently Tested N64 And Game Boy Connectivity For Switch Online
@Specter_of-the_OLED I've read Pokemon Stadium abbreviated before as, "PokeSta," but never as, "Pokemon Stadia..."
Re: Talking Point: Would You Like Miiverse To Return On Switch?
I hope so. Call it NSider, call it Miiverse, call it whatever, I just want it back again.

Re: This Cube-Like Console Play Will Play Every Game Boy Game On Your TV
Why couldn't they make something that can play DS and 3DS games? I already have a Gamecube with a Gameboy Player hooked up to my TV...
Re: There Are "No Plans" To Bring The Full Pokédex To Pokémon Sword And Shield, And Future Games Will Follow Suit
@Knuckles-Fajita You couldn't have Pokemon outside of the Hoenn Pokedex in Ruby and Sapphire until Colosseum came out.
