Re: Talking Point: The Steam Gaming Machines Are An Unconventional Challenge to the Wii U

Jeremyx7

@Rafie@ eza

I think the issue here is both of you feel I was downplaying most companies in comparison to Nintendo/Valve (which I wasn't) and in turn you two got defensive. I think highly of numerous game companies and appreciate just about every well crafted game they all put out. Even if I find a developer average I can still acknowledge what they have to offer to the extent that they can and in turn give them a chance.

Honestly, most of what I said was opinion from the start, this really didn't have to be a long winded debate. The 'fact' part can be proven if one simply researches a game company's credentials and reads about how they've effected the gaming community as a whole. I didn't provide 'evidence' here because I thought it was pretty common knowledge to most. If not well than you can find the evidence online right now in front of you if you really cared about accuracy before jumping to a conclusion that I was just making it up.

It's very very simple.

@Rafie "Whether YOU love or hate their accomplishments, they are still accomplishments and Naughty Dog is a great studio." - Your Quote

And you'd be right. I never said Naughty Dog didn't accomplish anything at all did I?

"many other gaming companies have accomplished MUCH MORE than Naughty Dog ever has and that is a Fact." - My Quote

This is a fact because it's true and can be proven true by various fields of data not only by the numbers but by the positive cause & effects each achievement created for the industry. Not because I said it was fact. So this is a valid statement rather than a claim as you put it.

You gotta stop misinterpreting my comments.

Re: Talking Point: The Steam Gaming Machines Are An Unconventional Challenge to the Wii U

Jeremyx7

@Rafie Like I said in my first sentence in my last reply, IMHO. Never said it's a fact to believe what I believe. Of course I wouldn't expect that of everyone. What is a fact however is the Fact that Nintendo and Valve as well as many other gaming companies have accomplished MUCH MORE than Naughty Dog ever has and that is a Fact.

Whether you love their accomplishments or hate their accomplishments they are still indeed accomplishments in that they added/offered much more new in depth ideas for the gaming community worldwide. That's all I'm saying here as far as what Nintendo and Valve have contributed to the community. Everything else is opinion.

Re: Talking Point: The Steam Gaming Machines Are An Unconventional Challenge to the Wii U

Jeremyx7

@BanjoThreeie Not to flare up a argument or anything but Naughty Dog is nowhere near as crafty as Valve or Nintendo IMHO. Not even remotely close. I've played their games and most of them are average to me and in many people's opinions with the exception of Uncharted 2 & 3(first one was generic).

I can think of so many other developers right now that have accomplished more than Naughty Dog has in less time. And Nintendo is above every one of them in that field.

Re: Toon Link Adventuring Onto Smash Bros. Wii U and 3DS

Jeremyx7

hahaha, the picture where the bomb goes off under peach's dress makes it look like she farted really bad! XD

On topic now...I'm honestly getting a bit tired of regular character reveals. I hope we see someone new again soon. Somebody from Golden Sun for example would be perfect!!

Re: La-Mulana is Receiving A Sequel

Jeremyx7

This IS the best gaming news I've heard next to Nintendo's E3 showcasing all year!

The first La Mulana became my 2nd-3rd favorite game of all time right under Skyward Sword in video game history within the first 5 hours of gameplay!! Literally a flawless game in every sense!

I'm very much looking forward to a sequel!!! It's hard to imagine Nigoro pulling off something better or even equally good as the first but even if it's almost as good I will be pleased.

Re: Review: Turok 2: Seeds of Evil (Nintendo 64)

Jeremyx7

IMO, this was a much better game over Golden Eye, especially the variety of gameplay mechanics, weapon functions, and the vast ammount of brilliant level design beginning to end! Not to mention the incredible A.I. for it's time, heck, even by today's standards the A.I. is better than ALLOT of recent FPS games. I would personally give this game a 9.6/10 instead of a solid 8.

Turok 2 was so much more than just a great FPS game, it was an atmospheric no holds bar intense action/adventure with so much variety and exploration. Definitely deserves more than an 8.

Re: Review: Turok: Dinosaur Hunter (Nintendo 64)

Jeremyx7

Way to low a score regardless of age. This game is still great on it's own merits and is better than 95% of shooters today. The difficulty that some complain about in the Turok series is what makes the series that much more rewarding to play through, it's not that bad, but definitely a challenging experience. Not to mention the level design was waaay ahead of it's time.

Hopefully you all do a review of Turok 2? I would be curious to hear what you all think of that much improved sequel.

Re: Talking Point: F-Zero GX HD Could Boost the Franchise onto Wii U

Jeremyx7

F-Zero GX was my favorite out of the entire series. A new F-Zero game would be amazing with 30 racers online at once!! New Tracks, maybe a new game mechanic or two, random weather effects, maybe on going traffic special courses just for fun, ect.

They can do allot with the franchise if they just try! Nintendo's always kept things fresh and new with all their other franchises throughout their video game library. Nintendo can do the same for F-Zero!!

Re: Review: Super Metroid (Wii U eShop / Super Nintendo)

Jeremyx7

@iphys you either must not know the controls very well yet or you are absolutely terrible with the majority of controls out there. Super Metroid controls are some of the most responsive, fluid, yet detailed controls ever for a action/adventure/exploration/platform game out there.

Re: Review: Donkey Kong Country Returns 3D (3DS)

Jeremyx7

Won't be getting this for myself. Wii version alone is perfect enough for me so no need to double dip wasted money. I highly recommend this game though for anyone who never played the original and for those who don't have a wii.

Re: Talking Point: Fire Emblem: Awakening - The Big Casual Mode Debate

Jeremyx7

Do I play Casual Mode? Never! Do I think it's a great idea for those who are new to the series? Most definitely!

Casual Mode is a great idea from Nintendo/Intelligent Systems to attract many newcomers to get into the series. But for those like myself who truly love a good tactical suspenseful gaming experience...classic is the answer.

Re: Cliff Bleszinski Likens The Wii To A "Virus"

Jeremyx7

Gears of War is one of the worst 'mainstream' franchises of all time to date. I don't care how financially successful it's been they're terrible poorly developed games.

Run, Shoot, Cover, Repeat = Entire Gears of War Franchise. Shame he doesn't know anything past that.

Re: Deus Ex: Human Revolution Developer Hopes The Game Will Boost Wii U Sales

Jeremyx7

@rjejr After reading all about the fine tuning/improvements/extra content features/improved gameplay mechanics I will be more than willing to buy a Wii U solely for this game alone even if it's the only game I play for the next half year. It's that amazing. Even if it was 10 years old I would buy a Wii U just for it. THAT GOOD.

For me even though I completed the game on the ps3 last year there are so many different ways to play through the game. Replay value is extremely high. Also I have never played the DLC levels which will be included with the deluxe version for Wii U so yeah...It's almost like a remake/Deus Ex Human Revolutions 1.5.

Re: Deus Ex: Human Revolution Developer Hopes The Game Will Boost Wii U Sales

Jeremyx7

@Scar392 whenever I'm not sure about a potential game I might like/dislike I always check out walkthrough gameplay footage on youtube for about a good half hour sometimes more. If all the little details of the gameplay captures my attention than I'll know it's for me.

If you're a fan of First person perspective, wide open levels with multiple pathways/choices, RPGs, and realism than Deus Ex is a perfect video game choice for you.

Re: Deus Ex: Human Revolution Developer Hopes The Game Will Boost Wii U Sales

Jeremyx7

@Nareva Actually this is ABSOLUTELY NOT made by Square!! And you should be horrified if Square was involved, their games have been Horrendous the past 5+ years. They were only involved with the CGI cut scenes which are amazing btw and the only thing square today is good at.

Eidos Montreal developed the game itself and did a fantastic job on the entire project beginning to end.

Re: Deus Ex: Human Revolution Developer Hopes The Game Will Boost Wii U Sales

Jeremyx7

@ReaperX30 Everything you said about this game is so true! I had the exact same experience playing Deus Ex 1 and Human Revolution to the point of not playing anything else until I had to literally beat both games for over a month each! Deus Ex 1 is still slightly better overall imo but Human Revolutions is so close behind that I consider it one of the best games ever made especially for the Wii U! I am seriously getting this the day I get a Wii U(the day I can afford one).
