Re: Talking Point: An Open Letter To Nintendo

Jeremyx7

I partially agree that he has some fair points about 'weak third party support' and how Nintendo is allowing that to continue. BUT. and this is a BIG BUT Nintendo can only do so much to encourage developers outside their company to share their vision. They can only show them the door but in the end the Developers have to be the ones to decide to walk through that Door.

Nintendo has been doing just about everything they can to promote their awesome system of creative potential so I find it very unfair to criticize them when there are MANY other factors to consider outside their influence. People still seem to be forgetting to take into account of the declining economy happening world wide thus the lack of sales for an EXPENSIVE NEW SYSTEM. People included here at NintendoLife.

I also stopped reading half way through this article the moment I read 'Zelda hasn't been exciting since Ocarina, and Metroid is dead to many of us unless a full reboot from a capable group occurs. We need games like StarTropics, old-school Zelda, and Excitebike.' So many things wrong with his vision of Nintendo here.....

Re: New Competition To Celebrate Etrian Odyssey IV: Legends of the Titan Demo Now Open

Jeremyx7

Downloaded the demo early early this morning(4:00am) and just completed most of it awhile ago(12:20pm). Yeah I spent that much time on it!! All I can say is this is a game for anyone who loves harvesting, huge dungeons/overworlds to explore, managing, allot of optional questing, planning, big stat trees, and of course Role Playing all IN ONE!!

Wow what a demo! I can only imagine how massive the game must be if the demo alone took me nearly 8 1/2 hours to explore the majority of it all!! This is definitely on my 'to buy' list right after I purchase Fire Emblem.

Re: Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate Online Play Will Be Region Locked For Wii U

Jeremyx7

This is disappointing news.....it's not a deal breaker for me but still a negative especially since I enjoyed chatting with different various people from around the world with interesting backgrounds and things to say.

I'll still enjoy playing the game no doubt but I'll miss sharing unique info/experiences with others overseas. Now it's going to be a less cultured gaming experience.....

Re: Nintendo Shows Off Monolith Soft's Wii U Project

Jeremyx7

Incredible!! Even though this is just a Massive TEASE to all of us who fell in love with Xenoblade Chronicles.....this was still exciting to watch and now I am definitely going to make plans on getting a Wii U ASAP.

This is some of the best news for me in the video game scene!!

Re: EarthBound Creator Confirms Something Is In The Pipeline

Jeremyx7

This will be amazing if they localized and re released all 3 Mother games everywhere! Then everyone would get the opportunity to play this great mind trip of a series.

Earthbound (Mother 2) is one of my favorite video game experiences ever so I'm hoping they will release Mother 1 & 3 over here in the states so I can finish the entire series.

Re: Review: Hydroventure: Spin Cycle (3DS eShop)

Jeremyx7

Most anticipated eShop game of 2012 on my radar. I have the first Fluidity on my wii and loved everything about it. I'll be getting this most likely when I get payed this Friday. Anyone here know if there is going to be a Wii U version from Nintendo? I would personally prefer it on the Wii U tablet but can't complain having it on a motion controlled handheld either.

Re: Capcom Releases New Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate Wii U Gameplay Videos

Jeremyx7

@DarkKirby For me, monster hunter tri specifically was overall very challenging but at the same time extremely rewarding once you figure out just the right strategies, armor, weapons, stats that suit your style for defeating every single unique monster.

One major quality Monster Hunter games have is replay ability. For example, you may come across the same Monster type over and over but that doesn't mean they'll will have the same HP, Attack Speed, Defense, Size, Attack Damage, ect... thus making every encounter unique. I spent well over 400 hours in Monster Hunter tri and it was always fun!

Overtime though some monsters become easy depending on what powerful armors/weapons/abilities/stats/buffs you earn throughout. But the game has a hard mode version of quests after a certain point.

There is more I can go on about but that would take to long. So I hope I was able to help answer your question about it being challenging.

Re: Review: Crimson Shroud (3DS eShop)

Jeremyx7

RPGs this detailed should be much longer...but I know it's a eshop game. Hopefully the same development team makes an actual Full Fledged Console/PC RPG in time. That would be great judging by the details of this write up.

Re: Review: Batman: Arkham City Armoured Edition (Wii U)

Jeremyx7

@HawkeyeWii
Definitely deserves a 9 or higher! Especially since it includes every update and other Character mini campaigns for free!!

Armored Edition will be one of the first games I purchase when I get a Wii U along with Wonderful 101 (whenever that comes out).

Re: Review: Assassin's Creed III (Wii U)

Jeremyx7

@Traxx
I agree with some of the things you are mentioning here. I do not understand how many seem to 'love' the series. Controls are waay to overly complicated just like Prince of Persia which I found annoying. It's not that I can't learn the controls, I can but I feel I'm wasting time getting comfortable when most games should be comfortable to begin with.

I wouldn't call it pure crap though, just unpolished game design.

Re: Review: Batman: Arkham City Armoured Edition (Wii U)

Jeremyx7

I would personally give the ps3 version (which I finished) a 9.9/10. Near perfection. Every video I've seen so far on Wii U version tells me THIS IS THE DEFINITIVE Version due to what the gamepad adds to an already stellar experience. So seeing a 8/10 after reading super positive things from the same reviewer is a bit puzzling to me. 8 imo is great but not to memorable. 9 however is Excellent and memorable.

I wouldn't say this review was disappointing, but I would say the final score doesn't fit together well with the actual write up.....

Re: Molyneux: Wii U Is Good, But It's Not Great

Jeremyx7

Such a smug douche bag picture! haha. But hey, if that's his opinion on the Wii U that's fine. He just shouldn't expect for many to take it seriously considering what his lack of accomplishments have been for some time now.

Plus majority of people worldwide are already forming their own opinions on the Wii U as Great if not Awesome for many reasons.

Re: WayForward Would Like To Make A Metroid Game

Jeremyx7

@SilverBaretta

WayForward are good, but just that...good. Not excellent, not above and beyond, and Definitely NOT Masters of 2D sprite based games...just good. I can name many other 2D based developers out there better qualified to make a metroid style game.

It really puzzles me how a number of people actually believe WayFoward would be qualified to take a shot at making a Metroid game. I've played a number of their games and none of them have me believing they are capable of handling a high profile franchise such as Metroid. Not anytime soon at least.

Re: WayForward Would Like To Make A Metroid Game

Jeremyx7

Honestly as much as I enjoy WayForward's games overall I would have to say.....a resounding 'NO' to the idea of them making a Metroid Game. They're a great developer but not for Metroid.

Every game I've played from Way Forward is usually a bit to simplistic, short, and straight forward(Linear). Metroid games however are completely the opposite style from their games except for maybe 1 WayFoward game that I can think of at the moment.

I say just let Nintendo keep making them using their own dev departments and Retro Studious. They always do a fantastic job especially with Metroid Fusion, Metroid Prime trilogy, & Zero Mission.

If there is one 3rd party company I would be interested to see make a metroid game it would be 'Nigoro' the same two guys that made La-Mulana!!
