The loading screens were always the issue no matter what platform you played these games on, even the PC albeit not taking as long. Still, that has never taken the experience away from me every time I play these games and are well worth a play. I will admit that the PC versions are the best way to play these (not talking about performance), as they have more to offer, especially with the community test chambers in Portal 2, but this is still a great way to experience the games once again, like I'm doing on the Switch. Well worth a purchase.
I honestly don't get why people are complaining about a Partner Direct. This is still something good as it's more games coming to the platform this year and possibly early next year. A full-on Nintendo Direct will probably happen soon, but until then, bring on this Partner Direct.
People only mentioning Whitehead when regarding to these "old" versions of Sonic 1, 2 & CD but people tend to forget that Simon Thomly AKA Stealth and who's currently leading Headcannon games.
@Banjo- The legal issue don't just lie with MJ but possibly Sony as I believe they own all of his music now, the other names that were credited and who were affiliated with MJ and since about 2008, Fervor Records. IceCap Zone as we know is essentially 16-bit Hard Times, but at the time of composing music for the game Hard Times went unreleased, that is until Fervor Records got the entire The Jetzons music catalogue and released their unreleased tracks.
@darkswabber Just to point out that Birth by Sleep was never on the PS2 and was initially a PSP exclusive until the 2.5 HD collection. Also, if that was also referring to Chain of Memories as a Japanese exclusive, that's not right either. Re:Chain of Memories saw a US release on the PS2 and later other places outside the US and Japan via the 1.5 HD collection. On top of that, it was initially the Final Mix versions that were exclusive to Japan until these collections came out initially on the PS3.
@Clyde_Radcliffe What rival console? He doesn't work at Nintendo. And did you miss the part when he talked about Xbox when Banjo and Kazooie got revealed?
@gb_nes_gamer I'm also eagerly waiting for Origins, but that's because SEGA have brought back Sonic 3. It's been a long while since we've had that game re-released.
@MarioFan432 It's already been released on consoles after the Mega Drive. It's been featured in Sonic Mega Collection, Sonic Mega Collection Plus, it's been released on the Wii's Virtual Console and Xbox Live Arcade.
@Clyde_Radcliffe You do realise that the version on Steam is an emulated version of the original Mega Drive version, and that it's not the port that was featured on the Sonic & Knuckles Collection.
@zoneseek Brad Buxer did collaborate for Sonic 3, but I doubt he is the reason. If you're looking at the credits which later became Stranger In Moscow, then that's down to Michael Jackson's Estate. If you're looking at IceCap Zone which used the unreleased track Hard Times by The Jetzons, then that's now down to Fervor Records who owns the entire The Jetzons catalogue.
So here's the thing. The music is the strongest factor from this possibly not getting re-released, but you can't just pin it down to Michael Jackson and his estate. There's other factors like Fervor Records. If you don't know who they are, they are the record company that owns the catalogue for the early 1980s new wave group, The Jetzons and the unreleased song that got used for IceCap Zone, Hard Times.

Re: Set Off On An Emotional Journey With 'Blanc', Out February 2023
This looks really good. Nothing wrong with playing a game with a cute emotional story every once in a while. I will be getting this.

Re: Sonic Origins Receives Rating In South Korea, Key Art Discovered
@aasdddas Nothing has been stated about these version being 144fps and including beta material. Where'd you get that info?

Re: Freedom Planet 2 Is Now Releasing On 13th September 2022
@Specter_of-the_OLED I don't think anything was stated by SEGA for a Q1/Q2 release for Sonic Origins. All we got was a 2022 release year.

Re: Random: Sakurai Seems To Be Finally Taking A Break From Smash Bros. Development, With The PS5
@Tzara Since many years? He was never an employee of Nintendo. He worked for HAL who are their own company and then formed his own with Sora.

Re: Memory Pak: My Nostalgic Sonic 2 Playthrough Was A Treasured Gaming Moment
@gb_nes_gamer Metropolis has to be one of my favourite Zones in Sonic 2. And I really love the music. Oil Ocean I can agree on.
Re: Dragon Quest XII: The Flames Of Fate Is Running On Unreal Engine 5
@Giancarlothomaz If it was too advanced to run on the Switch, Epic Games wouldn't announce its compatibility with the Switch.
