@Tupin yes exactly, big example is the recent Mario collection, it's not hard to emulate all those games in the compilation on any device that you own, but Nintendo keeps on demanding a £50 price tag for this abomination and it really hurts that Nintendo feels that they can exploit people because they are loyal to the cause and want to be devoted by them, even when nintendo lays eggs in a nest and don't care in the process about anyone's loyalty, all they care about is convenience, they don't care about the long term and their legacy! and nothing else!

@Luigisghost669 you won't say that when Nintendo shut down the eshop and renders your digital collection useles, I will never buy or invest in digital from Nintendo in any shape or form after what they have done in the past with the Wii and other legacy consoles that supported digital, some people have lost thousands because of this incompetence, be wary and awake about that!

i did enjoy the rpg games, perhaps there will be one for ps5 as well as a 3d game too

@RCGamer i watched it yesterday and i'm very intrigued by it, this handheld could really work as a powerhouse emu station especially with the giro for wii games, touchscreen for ds/3ds and nice specs for gamecube games

i'm def gonna keep my eyes on this one although it's now gonna be the same situation as the ps5 and will be impossible to buy one of these for quite a while summer 2022 the earliest, when it's readily available i'll get the 256gb model, not bothered by the anti glare screen addition although that imo should be on all tier models imo not the most expensive one

I feel left out, I can't access the new content because of how busy I am, I don't regret buying animal crossing NH but it's the pace of the game which leaves me limited to what content I can access, I hate it!

@progx yeah that's what I mean it launched at 90 but now the price has stuck around 30, it is on sale often tho so it's not bad, I just choose to get it for pc for the mods I have og disc version on ps4 tho so it's was a no brainer to get it for pc with how many times I've completed it on ps4

I already have this on my laptop so no interest in this version but it's cool that it's so portable tho

@JasmineDragon exactly, my gaming laptop cost nearly 800 and it has a built in graphics card (not on board graphics), 1tb hard ssd drive, touch screen and gaming on the go with a controller if i wanted to, i really don't see the point in getting this portable steam device imo.

@Arawn93 i agree also, for a bit more you could get a decent gaming laptop that can perform better imo unless some people like the mini portable form factor cause that is all you are paying for

i have a decent gaming laptop that i use most of the time anyways, my phone is more than capable for emulation on the go (plus have new 3ds xl and a og switch that is fine) so although i like the sound of the device i don't think i really need it unless someone gave it to me for a gift.

mobile gaming is a trash cashcow anyways, i would rather play mario kart 8 deluxe on my switch and use that when i'm out and about or my 3ds and play mario kart on that

it is quite disappointing especially with the wii period when nintendo released the wii remote plus which added a far more better experience with motion controls, i guess that is something nintendo don't take priority about anymore

@Matl yeah the ethernet port is useless to me I don't use it but the 64gb of internal storage is a welcome although with micro SD cards I guess the majority of people won't need this extra space

I mainly play in handheld mode so maybe this new revision is for me the bonus of a nice screen compared to the lite model is a plus for me

So any qol improvements to the joycons too? The screen looks nice and the bezels look much better than the og switch but I don't see any other improvements tech wise, they could have added more ram or more internal storage or better performance to the mix but I guess this is ok I'm in no rush to get this yet but I will see how people react to the new model before I splurge on this one!
