@NEStalgia Well, it's all done with now. And it went away with the N3DS. I think it was the opening / closing. Whatever it was, the N3DS fixed it. (0.0)/
@NEStalgia I didn't abuse any of my 3, 3DS's, but I didn't baby-them either. It is a portable console. I think the fact Nintendo paid to replace my screen over 6 times, extending my warranty for free each time is a solid admission of guilt. My N3DS has not had the issue once. Just smudges, but those wipe off. It was only the original hardware, both regular and XL sizes.
@Blastcorp64 Nintendo really shafted us WiiU users. We didn't deserve to have ALL wiiu features stripped out. Gimping our version just so Switch users didn't feel slighted and to boost sales. Total bull-shyte. (Still an amazing game though)
@NEStalgia don't get me wrong my 3DS was damn near indestructible but the plastic screen scratched, a Nintendo had to replace it many times. But the system itself was very sturdy.
@NEStalgia I Just carried my 3DS everywhere. Nintendo recognized the problem, and replaced my screen for free 7 times... each time renewing my warranty. The 3DS plastic screens were a real issue for anyone actually traveling with them. Thankfully, Nintendo owned up and fixed them for free. ... still, without anyone testing the switch screen, I don't want to mess with it. it took Nintendo a year before they admitted the 3DS screens were defective.
@GravyThief Given how many times I had to send my 3DS back for screen replacements, I wouldn't step anywhere near a switch until it has been tested by the mass public.
@MetalKingShield With all respect, this does not remind me of Gauntlet. Gauntlet was rediculously fun. Most of the switch launch titles look like Wii Ware. Not that all Wii Ware was bad.
A tablet game, mobile simulator, could be fun, and should be within the Switch's ability to run. I think I'll build colonies on other worlds playing Mass Effect instead, but good for switch owners, I'm sure this will be just as fun.
@jswhitfield8 I agree with you. Nintendo has become no better than the other consoles. I'm keeps ng my WiiU , Playing Zelda on that and Mass effect and other third party games on my Xbox. not worth getting a switch at launch, or even this year.
@Syrek24 how do blind do you have to be to not see that Nintendo sold out the Wii U Mechanics for switch sales?? it's really pitiful.
As a day one Wii U owner, people like you are the reason Nintendo does what they want. Blind obedience never led to anything good.
@Dakt Battle Tanks, Armories, Perfect Dark, Rogue One, Bad Fur Day, Pod Racer, Command and Conquer, Gauntlet Legends, Duke Nukem, New Tetris World's, Turok, Indiana Jones and the Infernal Machine, Forsaken, Quake 64, Fighters Destiny, Rogue Squadron, Say Hello! Yippee Ki-yay... And I was just warming up.
I'm no fanboy, but don't ye talk trash of the N64! D;
@nobboysbro Gamepad features. the game was designed for wiiU ya know? Heck, Link even uses a second screen in the game, which seems awkward when you no longer have it on switch.
@SwitchB1tch perhaps but you can be damn sure I wouldn't be early adopting a company that had a reputation for two back-to-back fail console launches.
Sure the 3DS bounce-back and sure the Wii U has a ton of games that I love but neither of them did very well in the first year which bodes my question why be an early adopter for switch when the good games and all the updates and Technology won't come out for a year after?
Nintendo has left us in a drought 2 times in a row fool me once shame on you, fool me twice shame on me, fool me three times and I must be an effing idiot. XD
@Joker13z yes. But why pay early adopter prices? When you can buy it cheaper and bundled with games later? What exactly warrants the price tag of buying it before the games are here? (I'm playing Zelda on the WiiU, the console it was DESIGNED for, BTW. )
@SPMarioSousa95 Probably because the more we learn, the more it seems like we need a small satchel of accessories to carry with our "portable" console. Hell, The WiiU was portable. I carried it in my book bag and played it at airports and anyplace with a power plug. I could even plug it into a large (heavy) battery and game anywhere. Obviously switch is much lighter, but it gets kinda humorous the more we have to carry. - but for 2.5 hrs, we are good. And that's not horrible for the first version. When I get the "Switch-Lite" that costs the same and has games bundled a year or two later, then I'll jump on board.
@Tyranexx For the most part I agree. I will definitely be playing Zelda for WiiU though. It was designed for WiiU, regardless Nintendo's attempt to butcher the controls for profit. (Switch)
@ThanosReXXX Maybe I didn't fully understand you, but I doubt 3rd parties will bend to Nintendo's will. And we'd be getting mass effect if those talks were as successful as we hoped.
@gcunit most movies don't match their subtitles 100% of the time...but it's obvious English is not their first language, and they will need some help. ;D
@Toph6661 the problem is is when devs get on board late, then they charge full price for their games when they hit the Nintendo consoles and Nintendo fans don't pay for them and bash them. This will spiral down hill quickly if Nintendo doesn't pull their head out of the sand and do something.
@Yamyum I'm confused... why would you take the switch off the dock if it would ruin the experience? Just leave it docked. I want to know the real reason Switch isn't getting this game...
@SLIGEACH_EIRE I just bought an Xbox1 a few months ago. It was a very, very hard decision since I've been a Nintendo-exclusive gamer all my life. But after the 3DS launch, the Wii staying standard definition so long (ruining Skyward sword, as it looks horrible on HD TV) and getting the shaft from Nintendo on WiiU... I got fed up.
I say all that, because now I don't have the same stress or pressure for Nintendo to go back to its Gamecube and prior days. I wish they would. I would LOVE to become a Nintendo gamer again, but games like this not releasing on Nintendo hardware are why I left.
I have grown to love my WiiU after a long love-hate relationship, and will be playing Zelda on it, and I'll play RE7 on my Nextbox, by the way, the demo is awesome. Scaryyyy and gets you excited for the game. I hope you have a box to play it on, because as the writer said, it looks very promising!!!
@ThanosReXXX When Nintendo puts their foot down, we lose games. Which means we lose 3rd party support. Which means a decreased install base, and we spiral down. With all due respect, I'm very worried.
@Firebird360 because they still need room for updates, DLC, etc... if Switch doesn't get large, AAA Games, and you just want to play Nintendo and Indies, then you're fine. But games Like DOOM, Mass Effect, GTAV, and others, one batch of updates will wipe out your storage with a single blow.
If people are only buying switch for Nintendo games, it's not a problem, but a lot of us were kinda hoping for a new leaf, and the days Nintendo got huge 3rd party games. Storage will be an issue...definitely for us Digital gamers, but even for physical cart gamers.
@Tyranexx It needs games to play. And right now it has two WiiU ports (Zelda and MK8) a Splatoon sequel, and a new Mario game late in the year. 3rd party? It's not getting Andromeda, although they have been talking to EA since the beginning. IDK...
@Kanbei @3MonthBeef you can play Zelda in Bed, on WiiU, the system it was designed from the ground up on. No need to pay the $300 switch tax to play the upcoming Zelda title.
@Mayoo People are already leaving Nintendo consoles, they don't need mobile games to inspire them. And now that Apple and Nintendo are in bed together, I doubt all the positivity bleeding from this post will change the reality of what is really happening here.
@PanurgeJr And those people are us. The consumers. And believe me, I'm making plenty of decisions to spend my money elsewhere until Nintendo gets their act together. I've been gaming with Nintendo exclusively for 20 years. I just bought an XBoxOne and can't believe I've been so in the dark, or that I've been so decieved by Nintendo's empty promises every console launch. The Wii made them lazy as hell, and my family is pulling out of Nintendo. We want to game together again. And we live in different states. We want to chat and hang out together. Nintendo may not care about losing our $$$, but I know for a face we're not alone.
@TruenoGT I don't think that's true. And I think the install base might impact the game's sales more than the rating. As a matter of fact, an M rating could have boosted sales, if Nintendo hadn't driven off all the M-age'd players. :/
@abe_hikura What. You didn't know? NOA now gets to tell you what an acceptable breast size is. Because...someone had to play with it and decide what was appropriate. It's not like this is even a video game. These are real girls and... wait...

@AVahne I haven't noticed any issues on my WiiU. Of course, I downloaded it, not sure if that helps. (no optical drive reading necessary)
