This is the best Shantae game by far. That 9/10 is very well deserved and I urge everyone that hasn't already played it, to really consider buying this little gem.
I love the looks of that Bowser one.
I might actually buy one because I still don't have a Pro Controller. Always thought they were too expensive. So yeah, these ones seem to be perfect for me.
Either Team Cherry wasn't able to finish a new trailer in time for today's presentation or Nintendo wants to focus on Nindies that are coming out real soon and Hollow Knight's release is just too far off.
Announcements of Hyper Light Drifter, CrossCode and Tom Happ's second game
Release dates for Indivisible, Dragon: Marked for Death, Hollow Knight and King of Cards
For me pressing all those buttons is a lot more taxing to my hands than controlling the joystick or d-pad. This is mostly felt by playing fighting games and those classic schmups where you needed to press the attack button every time for each shot. Can you imagine pressing that button a thousand times in a single playthrough with your left hand? I know I wouldn't be able to do it.
So yeah, I still believe that's the reason why the joystick is on the left.
@mailman Excellent question! I don't have one of those, just a regular Sandisk one. To be fair though: the officially licensed ones are also made by Sandisk. There's nothing different or special about them.
I'm hoping for release dates for King of Cards and Hollow Knight.
New games I want to see:
CrossCode, Hyper Light Drifter, A new Shantae, Tom Happ's second game, Bastion, Inside and Limbo
It certainly looks lovely but one thing that apprehends me from buying games like this anymore is the lack of replay value. Once you know how to solve the puzzles, the entire point of the game looses its purpose in my opinion. I always like the first run through such games, but I can never bring myself to play them a second time.
@beazlen1 I personally got into programming at the age of 9 or 10 with the game I posted earlier on this message board. I think that's generally the age when kids start to get interested in science and try to figure out for themselves how everything works.
I used to own something called a programming board as a kid and I loved to create little games on it. Labo takes this to the next level and I'm very happy Nintendo is doing this. Every young mind that gets interested in programming this way is a win.
Looks kinda heavy to play in handheld mode. Also, I have a hard time trusting 3rd party manufacturers when it comes to batteries and charging stations for some reason. It's one of the most critical aspects of the Switch and I don't want to take the risk of damaging my beloved console.

But... why?
Re: Nintendo Plans To Increase "discoverability and visibility" On The Switch eShop
Yup, more search options would be very welcome.
Something like the Steam store would be ideal.
Re: Hyper Light Drifter Is Coming To The Switch
Awesome! This is one of my all time favorite video games.
So happy!
Re: Just Shapes And Beats Brings "Music Bullet Hell" To Switch This Summer
The onslaught at 0:54 looks really menacing.
I don't know if I have the guts to play this game to be honest...
Re: Light Fall Is Limbo Meets Celeste And Its Headed Straight For Nintendo Switch
This one looks really cool but tough as nails.
I'll be keeping an eye out for it.
Re: Fantasy Strike Is A Switch Fighter Where Anything Can Be A Weapon
This one looks cool. One of the few highlights from today's Nindies Showcase in my opinion.
Re: Be Afraid, Will.i.am Wants To Make "The Next Pokémon GO"
This is just another way of saying: "please give me more money".
Re: Feast Your Eyes (And Your Belly) On These Little Dragons Café Screens
@Anti-Matter
Well, Yasuhiro Wada didn't work on the last couple of Harvest Moon games. Maybe that's one of the reasons why you were turned off by it?
Re: Feast Your Eyes (And Your Belly) On These Little Dragons Café Screens
@Anti-Matter
I saw these screens and instantly thought of you. This seems right up your alley.
Re: Hollow Knight On Switch Not Part Of The Nindies Showcase, But Release News Is Coming Soon
Either Team Cherry wasn't able to finish a new trailer in time for today's presentation or Nintendo wants to focus on Nindies that are coming out real soon and Hollow Knight's release is just too far off.
Re: Action Platformer Spartan Will Jump Onto Switch Next Month
This looks absolutely horrendous!
Thanks, but no thanks.

I love how they're trying to sell DK as a brutally tough platformer in this video.

Thank you!

Ehm... I don't see any video here...
Edit: it's been fixed.
Re: Funimation Really Wants Goku To Join The Roster In Super Smash Bros
There are like 100 video game characters I'd choose before Goku. I love the guy, but he's not a video game character.
Re: Random: We Have Our First Nintendo Labo Knock-Off
@Bunkerneath
Yeah, I don't think Nintendo will let this one pass.
Chances of seeing this in actual stores seem really low to me.

Yay! Nindies are the best!
I'm hoping for release dates for King of Cards and Hollow Knight.
New games I want to see:

Re: Feature: Exploring The Exotic Oasis Of Shirin With NAIRI Developers Homebear Studios
@Eef Fair enough.
Re: Third-Party Nintendo Switch Docks Could Be Bricking Consoles
This is why I only buy officially licensed Nintendo products.
Always done so, forever will.

Re: HAMSTER Acquires Rights To Complete Video System Catalogue
Hamster has to make a lot of money from all these excellent ports.
Good for them! And ultimately good for us as well of course.
