Re: Video: Let's Discuss The Super Mario Bros. Movie

@huupawel Oof, my bad on that end. But that's not really true at all. 2011 had a few bangers. To say critics didn't care simply because of the time period would be to dismiss all the great animated features that came before and after.

Movies like How To Train Your Dragon and Rango.

Sorry, I just don't agree. If that were true then every animated film nomatter the quality would have been given false praise simply out of not caring.

Re: Movie Review: The Super Mario Bros. Movie - A Fun Ride That Substitutes Story For Spectacle

@Eagly If there is little substance to be found in the film. then most of that can be directed at Miyamoto for expecting anything when he himself has insisted Mario never have a plot.

You can only work with so much when there is little there. Maybe goofy references is all the studio could get out such a flimsy premise.

Another movie should have been tackled here like Zelda. Where you can atleast get story out of it.

@LordBakemono Honestly? Everyone and no one. It's sorta the consumers fault in some way's that trailers these days show too much.

Trailers have a test audience it goes through, and it as turns out , most people prefer a trailer that spoils alot vs one that doesn't. Shame too. Now you can see the majority of what you are getting just through trailers.

@ottoecamn

"Woke"

1- A word adopted by African Americans to be more aware of racial issues in America.

2- Hijacked by radicals and appropriated to mean a slur. Which is honestly not all that surprising in America. And before you go on a rant, this is directed at liberals and right wingers who have both sullied the word.

You have a good day sir/madam.

Re: Mario Movie Directors Explain Their Take On Princess Peach

@demacho Eh im use to it. Most celebs just see animation as a quick paycheck and just phone it in. I honestly wish real voice actors were hired, but they don't draw in audiences.

Which is weird to me because I thought families didn't take their kids to a animated movie because an A+ celeb is in it. But eh who knows.

They were superhuman but nowhere near the scale they are now. Just about everyone can wave a pinky and wipe out half the galaxy at this point.

It's just now just the random transformation show. You can even see in the latest movie. Gohan in no way earned his new form and it's given to him. Not only that the design and name are bad. Beast Gohan. Really?

Now Frieza unlocked a new color in his ever changing palette. At this point the only hair style left for Goku to obtain is baldness. It would be the ultimate irony if we found out int he end Goku's more powerful transformation is base form.

Re: Sonic Frontiers' Sales "Greatly Exceeded" Expectations

@CoastersPaul Better options:

-Put Sonic in a freezer for 10 years
-Fire everyone in charge at Sega now
-Sell Sonic to Nintendo and cut the losses

That or we can just expect Sonic being a bottom of the barrel series forever. His best game within the last 20 years was ironically a 2d remix.

@Bratwurst35 Meh let Corporate be greedy and let consumers keep making excuses for them. It's honestly pointless given all the crap in the past years. At the end of the day Corporate always wins; And consumers will continually support them nomatter what they do. It's an exhausting pointless cycle.

Reminds of someone who hated Apple for their greed yet couldn't stop buying the latest Apple product. At the end of day consumers are their own worst enemy.
