In all seriousness, this might be a bad marketing move. I don't think casual players completely understand what they're getting by buying a Pokemon game instead of downloading a free app. New Pokemon are a very distinct part of a new game, and that might ruin some of the appeal Sun and Moon would have on newbie fans.

@Meowpheel Not really. I downloaded the American app but it still doesn't work here, the entire contintent is blocked and therefore no Pokestops or Pokemon appear.

Oh my goodness, those controllers are TINY. How can anyone play games on that thing? I could snap those controllers in two with no effort at all. They're like little biscuits.

If this could only be Sticker Star done right, I would respect it a lot more. Using Thing Stickers to progress, however, is stupid- hints or no hints. Sticker Star's bosses were just glorified thing puzzles. And exp is DEFINITELY necessary.

First of all, he never said the NX wouldn't be as powerful as other consoles.
Secondly, did anyone REALLY expect it to be?? Less power means less cost as far as Nintendo is concerned, and they have to do everything they can to keep their family-friendly image.
Don't try to pin the Wii U's failure on graphics. The Wii and 3DS (and maybe the DS) frankly look awful, but they dominated their respective markets.

I think it's best to not judge it too harshly, based on one image. But, uh... the eyes could need some changing, to be honest.

If a fan-game uses "mature themes" and "swearing" as it's main point, you can tell it won't be good. I suspect this will be no better than your average fanfic- unnecessary swearing in every sentence. The "horror" will most likely be akin to a Lavender Town creepypasta too. What exactly is wrong about current Pokémon's subtle horror themes? Do they HAVE to be more in-your-face about it?

I don't see why not. It IS free, and I really enjoyed Mini-Land Mayhem.

Part of me thinks Okamiden's slow-pace could be largely attributed to the DS's... inferior capabilities. A proper sequel on a next-gen console (heck, even the 3DS) would, if not surpass the original, at least be worthy successor. Or maybe I'm just a sucker for Okami.

What's the point in catching, evolving and trading 'Mon if they don't do anything? Even the TCG, which a lot of people collect for the heck of it, has a battle system. At this point, even a very simplified RPG would be a lot more fun than throwing balls around.
I get that the main focus of the game is to catch Pokemon and travel the world... but wouldn't that be emphasized by battles? If the things you collected weren't useless, and it felt like you were on an actual Pokemon journey? Who hasn't wanted to do that?
That trailer was way too hype for it's own good. And the lack of Gen 2-6 Pokemon is not too promising either.

To think I could be this sad about someone I've never met, who died a couple months ago. Great work.
