Re: Nintendo UK Calls a Race For The Fastest Mario Kart 7 Players

GBLUIGI

Man, I wish I could enter this. I would maybe turn some heads if I entered this. I would enter just for kicks, but I imagine it's only for members who live in UK and Ireland ONLY. Then again, it would be weird if just a couple of people from the US showed up in there to race for the heck of it.

Re: Play: Mario Kart 7 Community Rooms - You Decide

GBLUIGI

@CosmicMii

Just a word of advice from one fellow Mario Kart 7 racer to another. Don't worry too much about about thinking you can't handle the competition. The more and more you get into more races, the better your results will turn out. That, with the right style of kart parts you customize for yourself, and you'll do just fine.

Re: Play: Mario Kart 7 Community Rooms - You Decide

GBLUIGI

@Radixxs

You know, I really didn't want to have to reply to that. Not that I don't have any issues at all with what you're saying. But think on this, at times you can just keep the items around and forget there even there until the last min. if you decide to use them strategically in races that is.

@NorthLightSuplx

I usually do the same thing myself. I always try to mix in a good item offense with some good solid item defense. I just wish I had more access to Triple Banana Peels as much as I would like to instead of the single Green Koopa Shells.

Re: Play: Mario Kart 7 Community Rooms - You Decide

GBLUIGI

@LittleBigLover

Well, it's not much but from what I can say to you as one 3DS owner to another is, if you're up to it, then send it in to Nintendo for repairs. I mean, THE LAST THING you want to do is trade it in to a place like GameStop where you'll lose all of your saved data if you have Ambassador titles on it that is.

Re: Nintendo Download: 6th September 2012 (North America)

GBLUIGI

@Bass_X0

I was just saying that cause the only game that's Mega Man related form CAPCOM for the 3DS VC is Mega Man: Dr. Wily's Revenge from the GAME BOY. I just wish they would hurry up and release Mega Man II next sometime soon. Just wishful thinking is all.

Re: Nintendo Download: 6th September 2012 (North America)

GBLUIGI

WOW. Just WOW. Another poor excuse of a week for 3DS VC again like usual. I'll admit, Toki Tori from GAME BOY COLOR last week was a good game to tease the mind. But this week could have kept the momentum going just a bit more next to Prince Of Persia from the SNES. Another thing, where's my Mega Man II on GAME BOY Nintendo?!

Re: Play: Mario Kart 7 with Nintendo Life - Today!

GBLUIGI

@PinkSpider

You're probably looking at it in the way where some ppl hold their items like say Triple Mushrooms for example and use them right near the end of the race when they're practically right behind you. Others like myself just use and hold items for item defense to get victories.

Re: Play: Mario Kart 7 with Nintendo Life - Today!

GBLUIGI

@Gridattack

Hey look, I'm not trying to start no fight over who's right and who's wrong about this. But I'm just saying based on past experiences, that this is the way how SNES Rainbow Road treats Mario Kart veterans and newcomers. True, items play a big part on that stage, but all in all when you look at it all in the end. That's what makes that course more enjoyable to race on. Heck, tbh with you, that is actually one of my TOP FAV. courses in the game alongside GCN Daisy Cruiser.

Re: Play: Mario Kart 7 with Nintendo Life - Today!

GBLUIGI

@NorthLightSuplx

No offense to you when I say this man, but from my point of view. It's me being careful with my items. I try to go for item defense most of the time. I'll admit at times, I tend to be a bit SPAM happy with the Red Shells. But only when I feel I have to.

Re: North America, Game Boy Tennis Is Your New Club Nintendo Reward

GBLUIGI

I see a lot of mixed opinions are in about this game. As far as I can say for GAME BOY Tennis , it's an OK game to play when ever there is nothing else to do. I don't play it as much as I used to on the 3DS VC , but all in all, 150 Coins is asking a little too much for a game like this. I can see Nintendo maybe putting it up at 100 Coins maybe, but 150? That's not right.

Re: Rumour: Nintendo to Launch Wii U on 18th November in North America

GBLUIGI

I want to believe that a 11/18/2012 release date is a good choice to announce when the Wii U would launch. But tbh, I really don't buy into this unless info comes from Nintendo themselves. For all we know, it can be right near the very beginning of December 2012. Lots of these companies who make accessories and stuff like that for different consoles have a habit of getting info like this wrong A LOT!

Re: Tips: Two New Super Mario Bros. 2 Secrets

GBLUIGI

@Tasuki

That's gotta be false. The way they have these kind of Mario 2-D side-scrollers nowadays is to make it feel like if you mess up like in the area of 5 - 10 times, then you get like a freebie item to help make the level easier. I mean, look at New Super Mario Bros. Wii , they gave you Luigi to help show you how to get through the level easier. Then in Super Mario 3D Land , they give you that invincible White Tanooki Suit if you grab an Invincibility Leaf.

Re: Tips: Two New Super Mario Bros. 2 Secrets

GBLUIGI

I know, I'm pathetic. On World 6 at the moment and still haven't beat this game yet. Although, I am getting a kick out of racking up the coins with that coin block that gets stuck to Mario's head everytime he grabs one. As of the case with Luigi , I could have figured this would be the same case as was the same way to get Luigi in New Super Mario Bros. on DS. Last, those gold Super Leaf blocks mean nothing to me. Haven't used any yet and don't plan to. I just don't get why they still have the equivalent to a Super Guide like this still in the game. I mean, is this really necessary to any of us as gamers who already know how to handle any of Mario's adventures?

Re: Columns Coming to 3DS Virtual Console with Local Multiplayer

GBLUIGI

@shinobi88

I'm glad to see someone other besides myself for once give credit to a game like Columns on GAME GEAR. Normally, some gamers would say, don't try this game, you won't like it. Or, it's on a SEGA portable, therefore if you play it, you know it will suck. As an opinion I mean. The way how I see it, like I said before, whether it's on a console or on a portable. The same thing goes for ANY game that's multi-platform. Don't go criticizing the game unless you try it first. As for any of the 3 above games you mentioned. Maybe at one point we will down the road on the eShop. But I want to see Castle Of Illusion: Starring Mickey Mouse appear first if anything.

Re: Nintendo Download: 2nd August 2012 (North America)

GBLUIGI

@Tsuchinoko

I can understand that there was no release date for both Sonic Blast and Sonic Labyrinth. But if it's temporary or not for those titles to be put into an ad, then not have anything said or mentioned about it later after the first 4 weeks of releases for the scheduled 3DS VC releases are up, then something is up. Talk about false advertising on NOA's part if these games don't show up once summer is over. Just another way of showing on NOA's part that at times, they really don't know how to operate their digital sales that well at times imo.

Re: Nintendo Download: 2nd August 2012 (North America)

GBLUIGI

Somehow I knew this was eventually bound to happen where we get no 3DS VC game again. I was actually hoping to see Sonic Blast in the eShop for today so I could revisit it again. I just hope this doesn't turn out to be another long drought like it was 2 and a half months ago.

Re: Columns Coming to 3DS Virtual Console with Local Multiplayer

GBLUIGI

Even though it's nothing much of an issue for SEGA to be adding stuff like say online multiplayer to Super Street Fighter II on GENESIS in the Wii Shop Channel, and then now adding local multiplayer to Columns on GAME GEAR in the eShop. Can anyone imagine them going a step further as to where they would add online co-op to games like say for example: Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: The Hyperstone Heist. I mean, the idea may have been done once in the scenario I'm thinking about on XBOX Live Arcade before, but just imagine having the option to team up with other players or friends to go through a game like that. Or any other game that would be 2 Player. I mean, if Nintendo don't take note of what SEGA is doing, and they don't wind up trying something like that for themselves with one of their old games like say Mario Party 2 for example, or any other game that is multipayer, or anything else that SEGA is doing. Then it REALLY would be feeling nowadays that SEGA REALLY is able to do what Nintendon't.

Re: Columns Coming to 3DS Virtual Console with Local Multiplayer

GBLUIGI

I never really played this game on GAME GEAR before. The only thing close to Columns that I have is a game called Super Columns. And that is one mom plays the heck out of at times. Heck, if multiplayer options are being put out onto on old portable versions of games on the eShop, why not add it to games that have come out before like say Mario Kart 64 on Wii VC when that came out. That would have been awesome.

Re: Matte Red and Matte Blue DSi Models Hit North America This Week

GBLUIGI

One last thing, I want to mention. I can understand if this was a DSi that was made to look like a Super Nintendo like the way how Nintendo put out the CLASSIC NES Game Boy Advance SP back in June 2004. Heck, even if it was made to look like the original GAME BOY from back in the day. Then, and only then, it would qualify to me as something to collect.

Re: Matte Red and Matte Blue DSi Models Hit North America This Week

GBLUIGI

As much as I hate to be a negative voice about some Nintendo products. All I'm gonna say FLAT OUT STRAIGHT about this is: No one cares about the DSi no more. Why even worry about new colors of DSi when everyone knows perfectly well that the 3DS can do what the DSi can do, only better. If anything, and some ppl still own the DSi , I can only imagine that whey would be complaining about why the new colors are for DSi only and not DSi XL.

Re: Mole Mania Burrows onto US eShop Tomorrow

GBLUIGI

@NintyKing

I heard before it's pretty fun. It's kind of like a puzzle game where you have to figure out how you're gonna get from one area to the next. Almost like you're in a maze. With the way how things are going on like this, I wouldn't be surprised if we were to get Mega Man II for the 3DS VC next. Seeing as how that's one of the next games I'm waiting on next to Wario Land II and Kirby's Dream Land 2. I just hope this train of CLASSIC goodies don't stop after 8-Bit Summer is done.

Re: Namco's Harada: Smash Bros. Design is Sakurai's Job

GBLUIGI

For once in the history of Super Smash Bros. , I hope the decision to bring Daisy into this game happens. She doesn't have to be like a Peach clone or anything. Just give her a moveset all her own that's COMPLETELY different from Peach and I'm fine.

Re: Namco's Harada: Smash Bros. Design is Sakurai's Job

GBLUIGI

As long as SSB is overviewed by Sakurai, I have no complaints. As for where Namco Bandai comes into play, the only character I would want to see be added would be Pac-Man. I mean, it only makes sense because if you look at Nintendo's past involvement with Pac-Man, then some might remember that he was in one of 2 Mario Kart: Arcade GP games that was in the arcade. Therefore, that game qualifies as a Mario / Pac-Man crossover. Even if it is a Mario game. As for where Tekken is involved, I don't really like the idea of any Tekken characters being in the game at all. But if only one or 2 were allowed in, then I would put my votes towards Heihachi & Nina.

Re: 3DS Retail Codes Being Sold Through Online Retailers

GBLUIGI

You know, it's funny that people still don't get that they're risking the chance of possibly having their digital copy of the game get corrupted somehow by accident once they have the game downloaded for some time. I mean, how do we even know that we would be able to redownload the same digital version of a 3DS game we once paid for already digitally through the eShop. Whether the save file of the game gets created on the user's SD Card or not, it still raises the question with me. I still have my reasons for not paying for a Digital Download copy of a game UNLESS I really have to.

Re: Mole Mania Burrows onto US eShop Tomorrow

GBLUIGI

I've heard some pretty DAM good things said about Mole Mania before. Besides downloading Wario Land: Super Mario Land 3 tomorrow, this makes Mole Mania, the more interesting for me to try out. Talk about surprises. For once, NOA did something right by bringing out a Miyamoto game as an unexpected surprise that not many gamers have played.

Re: Retro Mario Discounts Jumping Onto North American eShop

GBLUIGI

I'd rather have the US version of Super Mario Bros. 2 , or HECK, even the Japanese version or Super Mario Bros. 2 appear on the eShop the week New Super Mario Bros. 2 is released. I mean heck, SMB 2 just debuted in Japan today. DANG, even Super Mario Bros. 3 would be acceptable for me. As for the first 3 weeks before the 8/16/2012 - 8/22/2012, I could care less about those games since I own them already.

Re: New Club Nintendo of Japan Rewards

GBLUIGI

@NintendoMaster

I wouldn't go as far to be down about Japan getting the special treatment like usual. But you forget, at one point this year, NOA offered the Nintendo 3DS 18 Game Card Case, plus BOTH the Nintendo 3DS Mario pouch AND the Luigi Pouch. Even if they were there for a limited time.

Re: New Club Nintendo of Japan Rewards

GBLUIGI

Ehh, I can do without the Mushroom Kingdom Figurine Set seeing as how I got it as a Club Nintendo REWARD for getting Elite stats. back in 2010. But the Kirby's 20TH Anniversary Special Collection medallion is something I would go for in a heartbeat. Although with the figurine set, I'm sure that ppl who didn't get the chance to get it if they didn't make Elite stats before back in 2010, should try and aim for it. A MUST HAVE! for any Mario collector imo.

Re: 3DS Retail Codes Being Sold Through Online Retailers

GBLUIGI

Ha! Yeah sure! Like I really see a lot of gamers going through the option as to getting a download code from someone like say probably Amazon or Toys 'R' US or any other online retailer for a 3DS game they're gonna download digitally through the eShop for more than what it's worth at retail price. Heck, back when I got 3D Classics: Kid Icarus near the end of March this year, I only paid $5 for a DL Code at GameStop physically. Yet another reason WHY I don't see myself probably EVER going for a Digital Download copy of a game.

Re: Review: The Phantom Thief Stina and 30 Jewels (3DS eShop)

GBLUIGI

Let me just start out by saying that $4.99 for a quote on quote coming from me, "DSiWare!" game really made me look like a fool when I downloaded this game. I thought it might be fun cause I was looking for a new mini-game in this category to challenge me a bit for a change. But then again, this game isn't bad for a quick 5 - 10 min. session when there's nothing else to do. Even though it also takes place in the near future, did anyone notice that the main character is almost like a Jane Jetson wanna-be because of that dorky dress. I mean come on, who wears stuff like that in the future. LOL.

Re: 8-Bit Summer Brings Myths and Monsters

GBLUIGI

@Tsuchinoko

The way how I see it, NOA are the only idiots because they make the most idiotic decisions as to put Nintendo DL games out late when other regions had the same game in question for months. A perfect example would go to the 2 month long 3DS VC drought NOA put North American gamers through from 3/16/2012 - 5/17/2012 while other regions enjoyed games every 1 - 2 weeks. Then they want to start making up for games that probably ppl don't even care about anymore like Kirby's Block Ball or Game & Watch Gallery 2. The same thing can be said for Kirby's Dream Land 2 , and that game hasn't even saw a US release yet. TRUE! I like the idea of this whole "8-Bit Summer!" gig NOA started, but for some odd reason, I don't feel that the charm will last for long once this is over and done with. All in all, I want to say NOA is trying to get their act together on the online market, but it's something I see they struggle with QUITE A BIT! if ya ask me.

Re: Review: Johnny Kung Fu (3DS eShop)

GBLUIGI

OK, so mostly everyone here hated this game. And NOTE: I said MOSTLY everyone. NOT every single person who commented. As for me, which I know I'm gonna catch EXTREME flaming for this when I say it. But I found this game a bit amusing. Not for the intense beat em' ups which after awhile get boring imo. But for coming up with an idea to do a modern day old school retro feel to some stages making you feel like you're playing an old Game & Watch game from the old days. I like the way of how the Johnny versions of Ball and Judgment worked out. The one where you jumped over the bombs working your way up to get to the elevator door I could have lived without. I will admit, the stages do get boring when they start to cycle, but when you can you expect from some game companies nowadays. BOTTOM LINE for me. I give it a 6.5

Re: 8-Bit Summer Brings Myths and Monsters

GBLUIGI

@GamerZack

You know, it's funny you mention that. Take Wario Land: Super Mario Land 3 for example. You guys over in UK / Australia had gotten the game on 2/16/2012. Not too shortly after Japan got it. And now the same game all North American gamers have been waiting on FINALLY comes out 7/26/2012. Really DAM PATHETIC when you think about how the game industry slowly turns around in a different direction. And then everyone wants to know why US has been complaining all this time.

Re: 8-Bit Summer Brings Myths and Monsters

GBLUIGI

I really want to try my hand at Kid Icarus: Of Myths And Monsters. I mean, I never played the game before, and always have heard mixed thoughts about the game before. But imo, I can't wait to give this a go. Now Tumble Pop to me looks like a game that really reminds me of Ghostbusters. Hope this game isn't a disappointment. Then again, if it was made by Data East , so it can't be that bad probably.

@GamerZack

You would be surprised. Mostly at times sometimes, the US gets games DEAD LAST!! Only every now and then does North America get a game before any other region if they're lucky enough.

@CrispyGoomba

You're sorta right on that bro. But remember, the Wii came out here in North America before it debuted in Japan.

Re: Nintendo Download: 7th June 2012 (North America)

GBLUIGI

Awesome. I'll be sure to check out Prince Of Persia today. I don't mean to sound like an idiot here when I say this, but GBC game # 3 so far within the time of 3 straight weeks in a row for the eShop. All I want to know is, what's the deal with the sudden love for all these GAME BOY COLOR games as of late coming to North America. I still say something eerie is going on with NOA if we're getting treated this nicely from their GBC line.
