They can go ahead and advertise something like that in their store paper. But the way how I see it, they can go ahead and turn around and say that it was mean't for the $299 8 GB White Wii U Basic Bundle just at the snap of a finger. It happens every now and then, more of the times it does than it not happening.
I highly doubt that the 32 GB Black Wii U Premium Bundle is the option WAL-MART is giving ppl to put on layaway, then come and pick it up for when it comes in. The way how I see things, they can be REAL deceiving when they do something like this. Next thing you know, when you walk into the store to get one, they would probably say something like, "oh no, that's only for the 8 GB White Wii U Basic Bundle."
The ONLY thing I find disappointing with a game like Mario Golf from the GAME BOY COLOR is not being able to transfer the data from this game to the Mario Golf from N64 on Wii. All in all, for a game I never played before back in the day like this, but only Mario Golf: Advance Tour on the GBA. I go as far to giving this gem a 8.5 out of 10. Truly am enjoying this game the more I play it.
I have no problem at all with a controller like this. Instead of talking about what the controller plays with and what it don't, I'm more pleased about the battery life with this sucker here. Now I know to some that 80 HRS. may not be nothing. But I find it a step in the right direction with something like this as it feels like it's got more battery life over your typical Wii Remote. And besides, to ALL YOU IDIOTS on here complaining about the problems with this thing, it said, "The Wii U Pro Controller can be used for playing a variety of games - from packaged games at retail to downloadable games from the Nintendo eShop." Meaning to me by the way I see it is that if a controller like this Wii U Pro Controller can play eShop games, then there's no reason WHY this can't play VC games from Wii when you transport them over to the Wii U. Same way for it they're sold on the Wii U's eShop. No reason NON what-so-ever why I see it can't play VC games. Including GCN if it does become as an available option on the Wii U eShop.
To be honest with ya man, I don't think anyone did either. Certainly not me until I saw the info from IGN's site the other day. I think it's one of those kind of surprise titles that pops up for a scheduled release when no one expects it to normally.
Well, that's the thing I was referring to earlier. IT IS coming to the North American eShop on 12/27/2012 according to IGN. Now, I don't know for sure if their list is COMPLETELY ACCURATE or not? But I do know that Castlevania: The Adventure is supposed to be the next game for the eShop scheduled for 10/25/2012.
@DarkEdi
Response to comment # 47: - I myself was wondering also if they would do the same thing like if they can do a kind of a wireless gig where you transfer data from the Mario Golf GBC game to the N64 title saved on SD Card from the Wii Shop Channel. I would agree with you where it probably can't be done nowadays, me probably thinking that Wii is getting to the point where it's nearly dead with Wii U approaching, but one can only imagine if it's possible.
Mario Golf GBC is DEFINITELY one I have been looking forward to get for awhile now. The only thing that bothers me is that I noticed the other day that IGN had a list of upcoming games for the North American 3DS VC for up until 12/27/2012 . And for that 12/27/2012 date, we're supposed to be getting Super Mario Bros. : The Lost Levels , our 1ST IMPORT game for the 3DS VC here in the US. I wonder if it's a sign of things to come for all 3DS VC games in all regions seeing as how The Lost Levels was REALLY a FAMICOM game to begin with.
I have no problem with having respect for all the NES Mega Man games. Whether they're to come to the eShop or not, I don't mind. But seriously CAPCOM , what ever happened to all the rest of the GAME BOY Mega Man games that you never put out on the eShop after Mega Man: Dr. Wily's Revenge , huh? I would rather want to at least play Mega Man II next instead of the mentioned titles since I beat them more than many times I can count. As for an announcement for being patience. I hope there's some small miracle that Mega Man Legends 3 gets released. Having it get cancelled before was THE ULTIMATE INSULT!! to all Mega Man fans out there imo.
The more I think about this, the more I'm starting to wonder if Nintendo Of Europe's Nintendo Direct is going to be something like what the Nintendo eShop Nintendo Direct was. I mean, they have that new Animal Crossing: Jump Out!! Nintendo Direct coming to Japan on 10/5/2012 , and I believe Nintendo is scheduling that for a 11/8/2012 release because I noticed there is an Animal Crossing themed 3DS Bundle set to be released that day also. But still, I hope this possible GBA announcement shows up in some form.
Leave it to Nintendo Of Japan to do something bizarre like this with an Animal Crossing themed Nintendo 3DS. I can't really complain about the design, it looks a bit colorful, but it just seems like it's missing more. As for the New Super Mario Bros. 2 themed 3DS , that one SHOULD HAVE BEEN GOLD!! I agree with GamerZack about that. I mean, wasn't the whole purpose of that game to collect a whole mess of coins Nintendo huh?
You know, I saw that same Nintendo Direct on YouTube last night before I went to sleep. I think it's good that Nintendo is trying to make more of an effort to get "past" 3DS games out onto the eShop as Digital Downloads. It's good for business imo. But just remember one thing, just because GBA games haven't shown up yet on the 3DS page on Nintendo Of Japan's site yet, doesn't mean that they can't go in there and update their site again within a couple of days for any sign of any upcoming GBA games for 3DS VC.
If this does turn out to be true that Nintendo Of Europe is getting GBA games first, then I HIGHLY WELCOME it with open arms. True, I would love to replay Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga and Mario Golf: Advance Tour again. Who wouldn't? Mario Pinball Land is one I ain't to crazy about tbh. As for other games, I'd love to see the two Golden Sun games and both Metroid Fusion and Metroid: Zero Mission , and Mario Tennis: Power Tour emerge. But then again, this is just rumor to me for now as I'll wait to see what NOE has to say on this all when 10/4/2012 hits. Let's all hope this is true.
I hope a new thread for the next Mario Kart 7 meetings gets put up soon. This page is starting to lag like crazy. That and I may be able to join tomorrow.
I can't believe Nintendo ACTUALLY got around to making a Circle Pad Pro for the 3DS XL tbh. Just WOW. I DO NOT see anyone AT ALL buying this no matter how many of these get distributed to stores.
Sorry about that, but I thought I read somewhere not too long ago, I can't remember where exactly. But anyways, point overall, I thought I saw somewhere that Retro City Rampage was supposed to have been cancelled.
I don't know, but the more I think on La-Mulana being put out on WiiWare , the more I think that THAT game may be the FINAL game on WiiWare before the whole WiiWare service dies.
Jeez! I had no idea La-Mulana was coming this fast over to the US on the same week the UK got it. That seems like the only thing worth downloading this week. Although with me, I'll wait until after I see the reviews for it.
@Bass_X0
Just be glad we got something good last week like Mystical Ninja Starring Goemon from the GAME BOY.
@ouroborous
I thought the same thing about La-Mulana being for the 3DS and I nearly got flamed for it at the beginning of the week.
Heh. It's kind of funny seeing someone like Heihachi dressed like Mario. I'm surprised they didn't add no Peach or Daisy costumes out there for Nina. She looks better as Zelda or Samus ANY DAY of the week.
TBH, I don't really know why La-Mulana is being released for WiiWare when it can probably do a heck of a lot better on the 3DS eShop. That or on the upcoming Wii U's eShop when that happens.
La-Mulana looks pretty dam sweet from the vid. i just saw for it. I didn't really get a good grip on what the story or what the game was about before to be honest. But the more I look at this game, the more it reminds me of something KONAMI would have made by the way the game looks and plays. That and it reminds me a bit of Castlevania. Happy to see this game land in UK, just hope US don't get screwed over on getting this game like I know they probably will. I would love to play this if it comes out here.
All in all, the point I'm trying to point out to all here OVERALL is. That this is turning out to be ANOTHER Wii launch ALL OVER again with the shortages happening now with Wii U! This REALLY NEEDS TO STOP Nintendo! HONESTLY! ;(
I sure hope you're wrong about that, the last thing I need to be hearing is some smart mouth GameStop employee insulting me about why I didn't get it on launch and why I waited so late to get it like say March 2013 like you said. Same thing happened with me on the Wii launch back in 2006 when I wasn't able to finally grab one until the day Japan got theirs, 11/2/2006.
Well, I'm gonna be one of those VERY UNLUCKY saps when Wii U launches. One of the local GameStop employees chased me out the dam store when I asked if there would be any extra consoles in stock next to the pre-ordered ones once I found out all pre-orders were done. Now I probably will have to wait until near the beginning of December or maybe beginning of 2013 like I did before when Wii launched. THIS SUCKS!!
I don't mean anything offensive to you, whether I can't race tonight or not. But the more and more comments I read, the more I think that you're just here on this comment board looking for attention.
But you don't get it. I wasn't intending on misplacing it. It happened when my uncle was visiting the other day. I'm not the kind of person who would deliberately want to miss out on a race based on something I said earlier, then having the total opposite happening later in the week.
Sorry for insulting you by saying I would show up this Friday and then not being able to. It's just that I misplaced both my 3DS and Mario Kart 7. I can't find them anywhere.
I wish I had the chance to play today but I can't find my Mario Kart 7 anywhere. Makes me feel like a loser for not being able to show up today. Now, for when I do find it and my 3DS also, where ever I misplaced it, ppl won't want to battle me anymore.
It's sad really. The more ppl keep saying stuff like that about the GBA coming to 3DS VC like as if it's gonna take forever to come, the more chances of it taking forever will happen. For GBA to come on the eShop, just be patient. It will happen eventually.
I hope that the rumor was true earlier this year about having the ability to play GCN games through VC on the Wii U eShop. That and I hope we get something similar to what Nintendo Of Japan showed off in package details.
This should be good. So far, everything I heard that went down from Nintendo Of Japan's end went down good. All except for no addition of Nintendo Land not being bundled with either the Wii U 8 GB or 32 GB console. I don't get why they did that?
Same here man. It's a shame that NOA craps on their fanbase and doesn't do stuff like this. The only thing that was ANYTHING Mario Kart 7 related was a Club Nintendo competition to see who got their names featured on Club Nintendo's front home page and on their Facebook page also. Not to bash on the company or anything, but looking back at the competition that was formed just to get your name featured was a bit lame.
