Re: Nintendo Download: 10th May 2012 (North America)

GBLUIGI

The more and more I look at the way of how the North American eShop is in such a DAM pitiful state like the way it currently is, is because of the way of how some really decent games are making there way onto the Wii's VC. I mean look at the titles we've been getting lately. Strider on GENESIS , then two good fighting games from NEO-GEO , plus now, SEGA is even rolling in with good games to please the customer like packing in online into an old favorite GENESIS game like Super Street Fighter II. Now this week, we get Wonder Boy in Monster Land and Monster World IV , a Japanese import game that should REALLY impress imo. All in all, not that I'm mad at the success that the Wii is getting for the VC as of late, but I think that it's fair to say that their side of the Virtual Console market is to blame for the 3DS not getting any good retro titles as of nearly the past 2 months. Why else would we be getting nothing but 3DSWare games week in and week out.

Re: Monster World IV

GBLUIGI

Every time I look at the screenshots of this game, the more I find it harder to believe that it REALLY is apart of the Wonder Boy series. I mean look at the game, you control a character that looks to me like a female genie instead of the kid with the blonde hair. I'm still looking forward to seeing how this game plays out tomorrow. Also, besides the fact that it's a Japanese import game that's making it's first appearance on Wii VC makes it all the more interesting.

Re: Kirby's Pinball Land Dinging to Virtual Console

GBLUIGI

Kirby's Pinball Land is a game to me I always wanted but never had the chance to buy back when I was a little kid. For some reason, I always remember this game being a bit more popular to play over Kirby's Block Ball. I think maybe it had to do with the fact that kids wanted to try and play with Kirby as the pinball for a change instead of having him break through blocks, I don't know. But for me, if this game ever shows up in North America, I'll get it day 1.

Re: Rumour: This is Wii U's Controller Charging Dock

GBLUIGI

I have to say. I think it's a smart and interesting move for Nintendo to provide a charging cradle for the Wii U tablet controller like they did with the 3DS. That along with the fact of knowing that the tablet controller will come with a rechargable battery makes me extremely happy. No more having to exchange AA batteries just to have access to my controller anymore is good idea to me anyday.

Re: Wonder Boy Double Dose Hits North America's VC Next Week

GBLUIGI

Monster World IV is a game I've been looking forward to trying out for a while now. Although it's strange to me, they go from the main character you play as from being that little blonde haired kid to a girl who looks like she's a genie with a sword. Strange how I notice those things, can't wait to try it out. But to the people who think 3DS is getting anything for their VC this week, THINK AGAIN! I highly doubt they will be getting anything like that Kirby's Block Ball game because I saw mention of a SUDOKU game for the eShop slated for a 5/10/2012 release. Unless I notice otherwise, I am not believing anything until I see it mentioned in proof where I can read from an article somewhere that says it's coming to the eShop instead of being disappointed again.

Re: Nintendo Confirms E3 2012 Press Conference Date & Time

GBLUIGI

Just to be clear on something I didn't make sense of earlier when I referred to me saying, I just hope that they announce a Mario & Luigi 4 for 3DS or Wii U. I just mean't that by as the way they're doing a Paper Mario game for the 3DS , I don't see the harm of Nintendo or AlphaDream making one for either the same portable. Or maybe it can be done for the Wii U.

Re: Game & Watch Gallery 2

GBLUIGI

@eleven59

It's funny you bring up the Super Mario Bros. 3 watch game. I remember owning that before when I was a little kid. Heck, to this day. I might have it buried away somewhere.

But as for Game & Watch Gallery 2. If this game ever comes to US, as for a bunch of others also that NOA owes us, then it will be something glorious in the end for all this hell they been putting the North American audience through. But all in all, I can't wait to download this game the day it comes.

Re: Grasp the Sword of Hope on 3DS Virtual Console

GBLUIGI

As much as I would love to try something new in the form of an old GAME BOY that I missed out on. Heck, I never knew about this one when I was a kid to be honest. Anyways, I would probably grow bored with this game VERY QUICKLY as I'm not into these kind of RPG games like this one for example. I'll have to DEEPLY think it over if it comes out onto the North American eShop.

Re: Tumblepop Set to Suck on 3DS Virtual Console Soon

GBLUIGI

@dark-insanity

That seems to be the kind of attitude NOA is taking if you ask me. Just PURE disrespect to the old school retro games and their fanbase who may want to try some games that they missed out on from the past. And then there's some people out there that wonder why the North American audience is getting pissed at the fact of why NO GB or GBC games surface up on the eShop.

Re: Tumblepop Set to Suck on 3DS Virtual Console Soon

GBLUIGI

Looks like another GAME BOY game I can add to my 3DS VC collection if this comes out in US. Gameplay DOES look repetitive a bit. That and the way the character jumps around looks clunky. But for a game that has someone doing the exact same thing as the Ghostbusters or Luigi sucking up ghosts in Luigi's Mansion. It should be fun to me a bit. As long as this game has somewhat of a decent ending, then I'll be happy.

Re: Nintendo Download: 3rd May 2012 (Europe)

GBLUIGI

Game & Watch Gallery 2 comes to Europe's 3DS VC huh. Wish we were that lucky over here in the US. As for Super Hang-On , I think I played that in the arcade once a long time back when I was a kid. Either it was this game or it might have been Hang-On. All in all, it's a good game to me.

Re: Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed Hits 3DS

GBLUIGI

Sonic & All Stars Racing to me looks like how Diddy Kong Racing played. I agree with most of the people in here who said that. But when you see all the amount of characters and new stages in this along with the kart transformations going from car, to boat and to plane. It feels like it puts Mario Kart 7 to shame.

Re: Wii U Will Launch With Digital Store

GBLUIGI

I said it before and I'll say it again. I'd rather get my games packaged instead of digital. I have my reasons. That, plus to me. I don't really enjoy the idea of having to buy an external hard drive just to store digital downloads of games if I were to choose the digital route and eventually run out of memory. To me, external hard drives are way too DAM expensive.

Re: New Super Mario Bros. 2 to Kick Off Retail Downloads

GBLUIGI

I'm the kind of person who rather buy my game physically instead of getting it in digital form. Not that I'm against the idea of Nintendo deciding to go ahead and start selling their games to the public via download. But I rather not go through the process of buying a game in digital format, then one day find out that the game is corrupted and can't be played anymore, Whether or not I have the darn game saved to an SD Card would mean nothing because to me, it would just load up a corrupted game. In the long run, I couldn't give a DAM if the download is cheaper that a physical copy or not. I rather get my games in person at a game store.

Re: Iwata: "Animal Crossing 3DS Won't Rely on Add-On Content"

GBLUIGI

I agree 200% on all this. TRUE! You DON'T need DLC to enjoy a game the whole way through at times. So long as everything is there, it's like, what the heck is the point? -__- But I do agree with Cloud-San-VII on the whole deal with the Play Coins. They could have like a way where you can cash in the Play Coins you earn towards stuff that you wouldn't normally be able to get with the game's currency, bells. Give you something to do to earn a little something extra for yourself or your town if you feel the need, whether you want to or not.

Re: We'll Probably See Some New Nintendo Characters Soon

GBLUIGI

@DeMoN-13ruce

I'll agree to that. Hades was a cool addition as a new Nintendo character. Even if he did play the role as a villian. I did especially like Viridi also. She seemed to me, a VERY spunky headstrong character that felt more like a loner. Even if she was a goddess that was against humans.

The one kind of character I would enjoy seeing Nintendo create this time would have to be like an evil version of Peach or say in the area of like a Dark Zelda like they did with Dark Link in the Zelda games.

Re: Animal Crossing Tobidase Reaches Japan This Fall

GBLUIGI

Nice small amount of screenshots. I just hope this game hits Japan and US in September. If not that, then hopefully October. Plus, I like the idea of Nook not being in this game and having someone else in his place. It's like, give someone else a shot to try the store business.

Re: New Puzzle Panel Lands Via SpotPass

GBLUIGI

Currently right now I have 16 Puzzle Panels. I had 15 before but with the Mario Tennis Open puzzle piece I just got today via SpotPass, it's now 16. I swear, these Puzzle Panels are one of the best ideas they came up with for the 3DS's StreetPass feature.

Re: Organise Your Home Menu With New 3DS Update

GBLUIGI

This to me is almost like the same thing as what the SD Card Menu is on the Wii. I do like the idea of folders being added onto the 3DS Home Menu to store games that clutter up the 3DS interface. But wouldn't it also mean that it takes a nice amount of memory away from the 3DS System Memory and the SD Card also? That I don't get?

Re: Nintendo Reveals New Super Mario Bros. 2 for 3DS

GBLUIGI

I for one am actually surprised that Nintendo pulled NEW Super Mario Bros. 2 out of the bag for 3DS. Although imo, I want to say it's really NEW Super Mario Bros. 3 , because of NEW SMB Wii being the 2nd game in the series. But then again, who cares. I will say, I like the idea of Raccoon Mario being brought back and the bit of a SMB 3 formula style gameplay being introduced again with a new power up looks interesting.

Re: Mario Kart 7 To Get Shortcut-Fixing Patch

GBLUIGI

All I can say is IT'S ABOUT TIME! Nintendo FINALLY got around to getting this glitch fixed. Hopefully it is the one for Maka Wuhu , but ya. I'm just glad that it's getting fixed.

@Ulala
Yeah! I noticed the Wuhu Loop glitch also about some time before I switched over to play through Kid Icarus: Uprising before. Who knew it was right near the end of the course just to get a cheap win. And that's one of my TOP FAV. courses also in the game.

Re: Nintendo Download: 19th April 2012 (North America)

GBLUIGI

I guess it's alright that Nintendo FINALLY releases 3D Classics: Kid Icarus on the eShop instead of having to get a DLC code from GameStop just to get the game. But all in all, the TRUE reality of this on going situation is that NOA once again knows how to screw us over here in the US thanks to their poor marketing of DL games on the eShop. I at least hope we get some of the games we want like Wario Land: Super Mario Land 3 or Kid Icarus: Of Myths And Monsters sometime before E3 2012 at least.

Re: The U.S. Sales Results are in for Nintendo

GBLUIGI

Heh. I figured Kid Icarus Uprising would be the front runner for Nintendo 3DS at the end of March. Heck, maybe even all year. Seeing as how it's doing so well as of late I've been predicting it to be the stand alone "2012 3DS Game Of The Year!" And I still am. It's only a matter of time before, and I mean TIME, before any other game steals Pit's thunder.

@Alienfish:

Why am I not surprised man. I see people just disrespect Nintendo nowadays for the hell of it at times. IMO, some don't consider them the powerhouse they were when they first started out and then carried over into the SNES / GENESIS era back then. Consoles and portables. Next time they do this again, just let them know that we wouldn't be around playing 360 or PS3 or anything nowadays had it not been for Nintendo reviving the game industry not too long after the INFAMOUS "Video Game Crash of 1983" That should shut them up.

Re: Donkey Kong Jr. and Sonic Blast Head to Japan 3DS VC

GBLUIGI

I can understand why some gamers here already think that G Sonic , aka: Sonic Blast is not a good game or that they don't like it. With me, I must be like one of the only gamers in this group to say that even though it wasn't the ABSOLUTE best Sonic game back in the GENESIS / GAME GEAR era. It did kind of give lots of gamers a chance to see a small taste as to what 3D looked and felt like. In those days of course. All in all, I used to own this game back when I had a GAME GEAR before. That and for when it does come out, anyone who HASN'T tried this Sonic title out, just give it a try to see how it plays out for you. You won't be disappointed.

Re: Add Tennis Balls to the List of Things Goombas Hate

GBLUIGI

Mario Tennis Open really has me geared up for a DAY 1 pick-up. Only game I couldn't stand was Mario Power Tennis on the GCN because of the DAM power shots. They drove me nuts like crazy. With all the online features this game is sporting, maybe, just maybe. It can maybe be in line to be one of the TOP 5 or 10 best games for the 3DS this year. Depending on what good games show up. I will say, the Luma character is what has me intrigued the most. Hopefully this opens the door a lot wider to allow Rosalina to be added into more Mario sports games in the years to come.

Re: Nintendo Gives Mario a New Website to Call Home

GBLUIGI

This Mario site that was made is OK. But the least someone at Nintendo could do is offer the fans a chance to add Mario games that other gamers nowadays have not gotten the chance to play or don't know about. I mean, what about games like Yoshi's Safari, Mario & Wario or Mario Paint for the SNES. Well, Mario & Wario was for the Super Famicom actually. But how about games from when the plumber first started out like in Wrecking Crew , Mario Bros. or Donkey Kong. Heck, there was even this game I heard of and saw before which had Mario in what looked like an Excitebike look-a-like game. I think it was around during the SNES era but only in Japan did it exist. But ya, nice contribution Nintendo, but the site can use some work. Good start though.

Re: More Gorgeous Epic Mickey 3DS Screenshots Revealed

GBLUIGI

This game is getting more interesting to me each time I look at it. Besides the fact that this game is paying it's respects to a great game before like Castle Of Illusion , more of these classic Disney characters that I see keep popping up remind me that of the characters of the different Disney worlds you would encounter in Kingdom Hearts. I mean, besides Scrooge McDuck and Beast now showing up, I just saw Captain Hook and I believe a statue of King Triton from The Little Mermaid in my most recent issue of Nintendo Power, which I didn't quite understand why they would include in the game whether it has to do with Disney or not. Let's hope this game has that kind of Castle Of Illusion feel to it that we all remember back in the days when we played it on GENESIS and GAME GEAR. I believe it was also on Master System back in the day also, but all in all, I hope this game delivers right.

Re: Rumour: Wii U Release Date Unveiled in Mystery Email

GBLUIGI

Wii U for a 11/18/2012 hmmmm? I wouldn't put it past Nintendo to put their next console out on that specific day. But to me, I say ONLY Nintendo's E3 2012 Press Conference is where the TRUE answer awaits for this mystery. At least go ahead and let us know all that the system can do before you put out a rumor speculated release date. That imo takes out the fun in something like guessing what the release date would be.

Re: Nintendo Reveals Playable PAX East Line-Up

GBLUIGI

Mario Tennis Open on the list is the only game that has any interest AT ALL with me atm. I want to know how everything is gonna operate with that game before I grab it to know if I'll like it or not. As for Ketzal's Corridors , I haven't saw enough of that game to know if I want to get it or not. I mean, it looks fun cause it reminds me a bit of a brand new version of Tetris, but that's about it. Wish I could go to PAX East all in all, but to me, it's one of those kind of gaming events like E3 or TGS or others like that. Only open to ppl who are in the game industry. Hope that really changes soon one day.

Re: Game of the Month: March 2012 - Kid Icarus: Uprising

GBLUIGI

I still have plans to get this game this Tuesday. Now, the reason why I didn't buy it on DAY 1 is because I wanted to see what the reviews for Kid Icarus: Uprising would be like before I made my decision. To me, what I saw at first looked a bit like a game on a type of like a rail shooter. In this case on the ground. Now that ONLY threw me off a bit, JUST A BIT, but not enough to tell me, no! Don't buy this game. As I saw this game in action, plus hearing how the story and gameplay was, I said to myself, I gotta get this game as soon as I can.
NOTE: The only reason I didn't buy this game earlier was because I was low on cash. Now, normally in my case, I would get severely flamed or bashed for this cause a lot of ppl would think I'm insulting this game when in reality, I sort of was in the beginning of my post by saying I wanted to see what the reviews and what more of the game was like. But I NEVER said I don't want to buy this game. Cause that is not true AT ALL. As for BEST 3DS Game of 2012! ?
IMO, don't hold your breath is what I say. True, it may have been hyped a lot. But we still have about 3 more good 3DS games on the way this year. REMEMBER THAT PPL!

Re: Nintendo Download: 29th March 2012 (North America)

GBLUIGI

Aw come on maannnn! -__- What the heck is wrong with NOA lately. No 3DS VC games for the GAME BOY library AT ALL for all of March. What the heck is going on over there. Once again, their stupid marketing on eShop games screwed them over again. For the love of god. Aside from only getting GAME GEAR games on 3/15/2012 , this is a DAM CRUEL joke. Worst month for the eShop imo. Something has DEFINITELY GOTTA give within the next week or 2. This is DEFINITELY INEXCUSABLE!!

Re: Wario Land 2 is Japan-Bound

GBLUIGI

@sc100

I couldn't agree with you more my friend. That would be cool if what little of the Virtual Boy's games that it had winds up appearing at E3 2012 as like an announcement of games to be coming soon to the eShop. Imagine playing the Virtual Boy version of Mario's Tennis on the 3DS. It could be a little blinding cause of the red in the game, but then again, it could be fun to see some of these games in a new light.

Re: Review: Dr. Mario (3DS Virtual Console / Game Boy)

GBLUIGI

@dark-insanity

I understand what you mean 100% and more bro. But in this kind of scenario. You have to take things like this the way how they are. Besides, I'm glad someone paid attention to my 1st post on this topic earlier today about what I said in reference to Dr. Mario 64. One of the best Dr. Mario games Nintendo HAS EVER made to this day imo. But ya, they may never see the light of day on Wii VC, but who knows, maybe on the Wii U's VC if that happens.

Re: Review: Dr. Mario (3DS Virtual Console / Game Boy)

GBLUIGI

@dark-insanity

I can see why people have an issue with not wanting to play a so called inferior version of Dr. Mario from the GAME BOY , but you got to remember. Like I said earlier, OVERALL, it's good to own as a collector's game. Besides, if it was to disappear and never return and you felt like going back to play it again one day down the road but didn't have it, then you would have missed out on it for years to come. That's why I see it as a collector's game, nothing else. I mean, sure it's fun to play every now and then for the heck of it. But then again, that's about all there is to all of it.

Re: Review: Dr. Mario (3DS Virtual Console / Game Boy)

GBLUIGI

I'll agree. A score of 5 for Dr. Mario is a bit harsh. I would probably give it a 6 or 7 myself. While I do agree that the DSiWare & WiiWare versions are better to own. Take Dr. Mario 64 on the N64 back when that was released also. It had the classic Dr. Mario gameplay everyone enjoyed, plus a nice size story line featuring both Mario and Wario, each with their own seperate storylines. No matter how you look at all the versions of Dr. Mario that came out, no matter what system it was released on, nothing beats having a CLASSIC like this GAME BOY version of Dr. Mario. Regardless of the fact even if it's missing it's 2 PLAYER feature or if some may consider it inferior to the ones out nowadays. But then again, that's my opinion. OVERALL, it's good to own as a collector's game. Besides remember, it was considered a gem to some. Even if it did come out a year and some months later.

Re: Wario Land 2 is Japan-Bound

GBLUIGI

I never really played all of Wario Land II on Game Boy Color , but I have played a bit of it. The game is very enjoyable and fun to play if you're looking to play something that has Wario in it. The one that stands out to me that I finished was Wario Land 3 which followed not too long after Wario Land II. In any case, I could care less nowadays if NOA's eShop over here in the US gets Wario Land: Super Mario Land 3 or Kid Icarus: Of Myths And Monsters to be honest. I mean, like I said before, blame NOA's idiotic marketing of how they get games that people want to play out onto the eShop. Only when they want to. Same goes for games like when DS was around. Even throughout Nintendo's WHOLE history dating as far back to I believe the Nintendo 64 or SNES. But anyway, no doubt we should get Wario Land: Super Mario Land 3 or Kid Icarus: Of Myths And Monsters any day now because of Wario Land II surfacing in Japan's eShop next week.

Re: GameStop to Sell 3D Classics: Kid Icarus Too

GBLUIGI

@CaPPa

Ya man. dark-insanity is right on the whole region locked situation. Heck, even if you were to somehow switch your region to let's say Japan to download a game from their eShop like Wario Land: Super Mario Land 3 or Kirby's Dream Land 2 for example, then by the time you switch it back to North America, they probably wouldn't exist on your 3DS after all the trouble you went through to get the games.

Re: GameStop to Sell 3D Classics: Kid Icarus Too

GBLUIGI

@shinobi88

I see where you're coming from on something like that. Back in the old days when I had a SEGA GENESIS and when GameStop was called FuncoLand. My mother had bought me Mortal Kombat II I believe it was for the GENESIS , used. The dam game wouldn't load right unless you had to practically jam it into the GENESIS while turning it on. Very annoying to me to be honest. That's why when ever I buy a game nowadays from GameStop , I always make sure that the game is NEW and not used. I just don't trust used games or used anything from GameStop , none what so ever at all.

Re: GameStop to Sell 3D Classics: Kid Icarus Too

GBLUIGI

I'm actually glad GameStop did something like this to be honest. I had got a download code for this game for $5.99 this past Saturday while I was attending a Street Fighter X Tekken tournament they were holding. Makes me feel better knowing that I didn't reserve the game and also know that somehow along the road, there would be yet another way to get 3D Classics: Kid Icarus. Besides, it's not that I didn't want Kid Icarus: Uprising at all. It's just that I wanted to see what the reviews would turn out to be like before I plan on buying the game is all.

Re: Review: Dragon Crystal (3DS Virtual Console / Game Gear)

GBLUIGI

I had no problem with this game at all when I downloaded it last week from the eShop. The game feels good where it lets you walk around, find and pick up items, and battle enemies without having to go into a another screen to do so. It also offers a lot of hours of gameplay because you'll always want to be determined to get farther than you did on your first run. The only thing that gets to me about Dragon Crystal is that it feels like you're getting absolutely NOWHERE! when you come to a dead end and find no portal in the room to transport you to the next room. It's OK if you have the right item to help you out. But if you don't, basically you're screwed over. Anyways OVERALL, I give this game a 7.

Re: Nintendo Download: 22nd March 2012 (Europe)

GBLUIGI

@Katzii

You know bro, Steampunk here brings up a good point. Besides getting Kid Icarus: Of Myths And Monsters , you guys also got Wario Land: Super Mario Land 3 over there in Europe. Or how I like to call it, UK. As for us, getting GAME GEAR games is pretty cool in it's own right, but you guys could POSSIBLY be getting the same GAME GEAR titles on 3/29/2012 without having to worry about anything.

Re: Game & Watch Gallery 2 Coming to Japan

GBLUIGI

@Capt_N

Same here on the part about downloading it. For me, it will be a DEFINITE DL seeing as how when Game & Watch Gallery hit the eShop in the US, I could not for what ever reason at all find myself putting the game down. There's something about playing the old Game & Watch games on a portable like GAME BOY to me that just gives you too much of a nostalgic feeling like you've been transported back in time to when these little gems were created and then experiencing them for the first time. Weird in a way just a little to me, but cool at the same time also.

Re: Nintendo Download: 22nd March 2012 (Europe)

GBLUIGI

To be honest, I wouldn't mind downloading Dr. Mario for GAME BOY on the eShop. It's a better option imo seeing as how NOA never got around to releasing the NES version on the Wii Shop Channel. Besides that, Dr. Mario on GAME BOY was one of my very first titles with Super Mario Land that I bought with mom at an old toy store called Kiddie City back in the day when I was a little kid. Ahh, nostalgic great memories.

Re: Game & Watch Gallery 2 Coming to Japan

GBLUIGI

@Capt_N

You know, I never knew a game like Game & Watch Gallery 2 that was able to be part SUPER GAME BOY related. If I remember correctly, because it was part GAME BOY and GAME BOY COLOR. Wouldn't that cancel out an option for this game to be played via the SUPER GAME BOY because of the GBC part of the game? Also, great suggestion to Club Nintendo on possibly adding a SUPER GAME BOY option to the GB games. That would be nice to see seeing as how much power the SUPER GAME BOY was given to give classic GB games new life in a bit of color with added features.

Re: Feature: The Life and Times of SEGA's Game Gear

GBLUIGI

@XCWarrior

Same man, my mom owns the old GAME GEAR that was once mine before. She loves to play Ms. Pac Man and Super Columns on that at times. Although, she still sometimes looks for the TV Tuner on eBay that goes with it at times.

Re: Game & Watch Gallery 2 Coming to Japan

GBLUIGI

@Bass_X0

You know. It's funny you say that man. I never noticed that there before. And I check GameFAQs a lot. Besides, if it did come out on GAME BOY like one of the images I just saw showed me. Then it must have been one of those Black GAME BOY COLOR cartridges that the GBC had out there besides the GBC only games. The Black Cartridges were ones that allowed gameplay on both the GAME BOY COLOR and GAME BOY POCKET also if you had one of those next to the GBC. Anyway, nice find man. Thanks for the heads up on that.

Re: Nintendo Download: 15th March 2012 (North America)

GBLUIGI

@3Dangerous3Dash

I'm assuming maybe Nintendo and SEGA wanted to get a Sonic game out there that hadn't saw the light of day yet on Wii. I mean, even though it's a portable title and existed on GAME GEAR , think of it. Sonic The Hedgehog and Sonic The Hedgehog 2 were already released on Wii VC as 2 Master System games. Besides, they're the same games actually. So bascially, the 2 GAME GEAR Sonic games of the same name are probably gonna be released sometime after a few number of GAME GEAR games show up.

Re: Feature: The Life and Times of SEGA's Game Gear

GBLUIGI

I remember once when I used to own a GAME GEAR of my own. I had got it as a Christmas gift near the mid 90's , and it came with Sonic The Hedgehog 2 and an extra game came along with it not packaged, Super Columns. I didn't own much games for it except almost every Sonic game that was made for it. But I also had Mortal Kombat II and The Simpsons: Bart VS. The Space Mutants. All in all, though some people out here on the comments section think GAME GEAR was horrible, I do agree to a point on that. And the only reason I do is because that the GAME BOY had a little more games in total than the GAME GEAR ever had in it's life time. Like others said too, add the fact that this big monster ate up nice 6 AA Battery sized portions in no less than 3 - 4 hours was also a big minus to SEGA. All in all, if you ever do see this out there on the market nowadays. Just get it as like a collector's item and nothing more if you care to. Nice attempt from SEGA at the time, but not enough to get the job done at winning the portable wars back then.
