Re: Nintendo Download: 16th May (North America)

GBLUIGI

I plan to get the $1.50 update to play this game on the GamePad for Super Mario Bros. 2 once I finally get my Wii U near the very beginning of June. The only thing I don't understand is why Nintendo would offer Super Mario Bros. 2 at a discount of $2.49 just for owning the Wii U VC version of Super Mario World ? :/ That's the first time I ever heard of them doing something like this.

Re: SEGA Planning Seven Releases for Wii U in the Coming Year

GBLUIGI

@Majin-Naruto

I'll tell you right now that if Sonic The Hedgehog 4: EP. 2 was one of their 7 games to come out on the Wii U eShop , then I'd be one of the first gamers to download that title within a heartbeat. Just the fact knowing alone that SEGA denied that game to Wii owners by not putting it out on the Wii Shop Channel due to Wii not being HD reason and some other reasons I forgot, really angered the hell out of me to no end.

Re: SEGA Planning Seven Releases for Wii U in the Coming Year

GBLUIGI

@DESS-M-8

See, what the thing with me is that I have ABSOLUTELY NOTHING against seeing Dreamcast games come over to the Wii U eShop if they are to ever be made available. In fact, I welcome them with open arms, that is if Nintendo EVER decides to get off their DAM high seats of stupidity and release them on Wii U VC , then I'm sure a lot of gamers would be happy beyond words can imagine. The only reason why I said earlier is that ppl may have to hold their breaths in waiting to see Dreamcast games appear on Wii U eShop is because when I look at them in size, something about the amount of data OVERALL like say on a game like any of the 2 Sonic Adventure games would maybe seem impossible to me just because of all the content that's on a Dreamcast disc. Take Shenmue for example, that's like what, 2 or 4 discs if I recall right to the whole first game? :/ For a game like that, can BOTH SEGA and Nintendo get away with releasing all that amount of data and content from all those discs onto a Wii U eShop without running into any problems?

Re: SEGA Planning Seven Releases for Wii U in the Coming Year

GBLUIGI

@Peach64

FINALLY someone who agrees with me on the whole SEGA SATURN games that should be made available for the Wii U eShop! To me, I think it's possible for SEGA and Nintendo to make SATURN games available for Wii U VC , but with Dreamcast games, I'm gonna hold my breath with that. To be honest, I don't know if a Dreamcast game alone would be able to make the cut as a digital download for Wii U VC ? I mean after all, wouldn't Dreamcast games be too big in size to release on the Wii U eShop ?

Re: SEGA Planning Seven Releases for Wii U in the Coming Year

GBLUIGI

If anything with all these 7 titles that SEGA has coming down the pipe line. One of them must probably be a new Sonic game we heard about earlier in the year is my guess. But aside from that, to me it would be cool to see SEGA put out a new NiGHTS game for Wii U or 3DS. The reason why I say that is because I always heard before that NiGHTS: Journey Of Dreams for the Wii had mixed reviews. A bit more bad than good I'm guessing. But yeah, in the long run, it would be nice to see our old favorite jester, NiGHTS return for a 3rd outing on either the 3DS or Wii U. Just as long as it has good gameplay, story, music, audio, etc. , then it should be a hit for SEGA. Just so long as they add online to the game, it would make it a bit better I suppose.

Re: Nintendo Has A Sense Of Humour About Poor 3DS Battery Life

GBLUIGI

I have to say on my part that I'm not really that much of a fan of the 3DS's battery life myself either. To me, it usually seems like the battery drains as quickly between 4 - 8 hrs. whenever I'm playing a game like Mario Kart 7 or Luigi's Mansion: Dark Moon. It doesn't really bother me to plug the system into it's plug to recharge it when it has to, but man, I wish Nintendo would at least come along with a new stronger battery. As for Resetti , jeez, now they have that blasted little creep at the start of Animal Crossing: New Leaf. Just what I didn't need to see when I fire up my 3DS everyday to play this game.

Re: 3D Sonic The Hedgehog Spinning Onto The Japanese 3DS eShop Next Week

GBLUIGI

Heh. I would have never expected to see SEGA make a game like 3D Sonic The Hedgehog for the 3DS anytime soon or AT ALL tbh. The only 3D game I recall SEGA ever putting out was just 3D Space Harrier and nothing else. I never had any idea AT ALL that they went ahead and made a 3D Super Hang-On also for the 3DS. But all in all, when it comes to wishing hopefully for a game like 3D Sonic The Hedgehog or any of the other 2 3D SEGA games to make it out to the 3DS , I wouldn't keep my hopes up that high. The reason I say that is because I agree with @RetrogamerFan about the lack of GAME GEAR games out on the 3DS eShop alone in North America. I mean, we're the only idiots out here with a measly total of 3 GAME GEAR games out on the US 3DS eShop while Japan has 14 games from that portable in total. HECK, even Europe has 5 of them and imo, I say they were treated way better than we were. That imo is one of NOA's problem in the long run when you look at some of the big pictures out there in their digital market. VERY POOR support for GAME GEAR games.

Re: Review: Mario's Super Picross (Wii U eShop / Super Nintendo)

GBLUIGI

I agree with a couple of gamers on this thread about wanting to see this game come to the Wii U eShop in the US. I too have played Mario's Picross from the GAME BOY on the 3DS VC and felt like I just couldn't get enough of the game. Really good game too if I might add. I wouldn't mind if this game didn't have any english subtitles or not seeing as how for 1, I would enjoy playing a different game like Mario's Super Picross if they ever do release this over in North America. Come on NOA, what are you waiting for and get this game imported to the Wii U eShop so we too can enjoy this game ourselves also.

Re: Pachter: Nintendo Made The Right Decision In Skipping E3 This Year

GBLUIGI

I said it once before and I'll say it until I'm blue in the face if I have to. Having at least 3 Nintendo Directs this year in a way is kind of like mini E3 2013 segments in their own way from Nintendo. Also the way how I look at things with the remark Pachter said about Nintendo saying that we don't really have anything new to show is TOTAL CRAP to me. How is he to know if there's probably gonna be some demos of a Mario Kart U or Super Mario 3D out there on the show floor somewhere at all. What a total idiot. -__-

Re: Nintendo Invites Media to Wii U Software Showcase at E3

GBLUIGI

Besides this whole "Wii U Software Showcase" event that Nintendo wants to do. I at least say that during the time of E3 , that they should do a GLOBAL Nintendo Direct. I do agree with @Musterd about Nintendo having some kind of E3 game demos up on BOTH Wii U and 3DS eShops , especially for 2 games like Mario Kart U and SSB 4. I mean, I know we're still getting some images from SSB 4 and that's fine with me. But it wouldn't hurt to at least show off a small demo from the eShop for anyone who's itching to trying the game just for a bit. IMO, it makes us gamers feel like we're actually there on the show floor alongside the gaming media that always gets to go to E3 every year.

Re: Club Nintendo Rewards Updated for May

GBLUIGI

Super Mario RPG: Legend Of The Seven Stars seems like the only game worth getting out there for anyone who may not own the title from the Wii Shop Channel. It's a great game worth checking out if you haven't played it yet imo.

Re: Capcom Bringing More SNES Goodness To The Wii U Virtual Console

GBLUIGI

The more and more I look at this topic, the more good choices I see lots of the Nintendo Life gamer community adding, I'm gonna add a game I bet no one ever thought to EVEN THINK OF. It goes back to an old Nintendo Life thread I took part in sometime last year. The other game that would probably and MAYBE do the most good for a Wii U VC title on the Wii U eShop would be Mega Man 8: Anniversary Collector's Edition from the SEGA SATURN. The only reason why that would be my other choice is because I think that now since we're in the Wii U era with VC games starting to pop up on the Wii U eShop , it's only right that Nintendo should be smart and try to add some of the SEGA SATURN library of games into the mix for ppl who may get tired of playing the usual suspects like NES , SNES & N64. Even though I like the idea of GBA games getting added into the mix and having a wide library variety of games to choose from, imo, let's face it people. That may not be enough for lots of gamers who might be looking around for just a bit more from something different.

Re: Game & Wario to Retail at $39.99 in the U.S.

GBLUIGI

It doesn't matter to me what price Nintendo put this game at on the market. For some reason, I don't find Game & Wario AT ALL interesting to pick up and try. $39.99 is not gonna help this with Wii U sales not one bit. That I already know.

Re: Donkey Kong Junior Arcade Has A New World Record Holder

GBLUIGI

I can probably do better on the 3DS VC version I own. But the arcade version is another story tbh. All I can say is that with a new record set for Donkey Kong JR. now, somewhere out there, Billy Mitchell is planning on topping it. That is, if he even cares to.

Re: Nintendo Download: 25th April 2013 (North America)

GBLUIGI

Mega Man 4 is a instant buy for me this week. All I have left to do is wait for The Legend Of Zelda: Oracle Of Seasons & The Legend Of Zelda: Oracle Of Ages for 5/30/2013 and I'm happy.

@ThomasBW84

I wouldn't worry too much about the Wii U VC line-up of games that's supposed to show up in the Wii U eShop anytime soon. I mean, if Nintendo is smart, then they will probably put out Wii U VC games in the Wii U eShop either today or tomorrow. Or it can be a Sunday release. Who knows these days tbh with this company. :/

Re: Miiverse Now Available In Your Browser

GBLUIGI

Isn't that just peachy. -__- Nintendo has previously talked about bringing Miiverse to 3DS but doesn't really want to talk about it right now. That at the moment and until the time if Miiverse EVER even shows up on 3DS is how much I believe in Nintendo ACTUALLY making Miiverse work for 3DS to begin with.

Re: Rejoice, Mario Kart Wii U Is Coming This Year

GBLUIGI

With Mario Kart U as I like to call it, I hope they bring back the bikes into races. I have no problem with how the online is now. But I wish they would fix the issues with ppl always getting Communication Errors with like the way Mario Kart 7 had that problem. And no glitches this time on online again Nintendo.

Re: The Konami Code Is 27 Years Old This Week

GBLUIGI

@FernandoMachado

It's funny you bring up the part about waiting for magazines to come along. I think back in the early days of NINTENDO POWER , the Konami Code was featured in at least 1 or 2 issues of the magazine. That imo is how much this code ruled so much.

Re: Analysts Predict Financial Year Losses to be Reported by Nintendo

GBLUIGI

Heh, I hate to say this but it looks like Nintendo may be in the same situation as they were in back in 2011 when they had to do a price drop for the 3DS because of it's poor sales. Even though I still don't own a Wii U yet, if Nintendo is to report a loss, then probably a Wii U price drop MAY just be in their window after all, despite those times Iwata said there wouldn't be a price drop.

Re: Mother 3 Fan Offers Nintendo Free Translation of the GBA Title

GBLUIGI

I really never even played a MOTHER game before so I probably have no right at all to be saying anything here. But the way how I see things going back to the 4/17/2013 Nintendo Direct , if Nintendo was gonna mention anything about MOTHER 3 , then they could have at least said something about MOTHER 1 also. In the long run when I look at this whole picture, it's great that we're finally gonna be able to get our hands on EarthBound / MOTHER 2 in North America & Europe. But then there's also the issue I have which is, why show no love for MOTHER 1 or MOTHER 3 too?? :/ EarthBound will be my first MOTHER game I ever played when it comes out on the North American Wii U eShop , but with news of all this about MOTHER 3 spilling out, I say to Nintendo, why not go for it if this guy is willing to do free translation to get the game out to fans who would like to see it out on the Wii U VC. I mean. it only makes sense to any gamer out there when everyone thinks long and hard about it in the end.

Re: Video: The New Super Mario Busters - Featuring Sonic - Go Into Action

GBLUIGI

This was a REALLY DAM GOOD follow-up to the last Mario take on the Ghostbusters cartoon back in the day. All the game references in there from Nintendo's past really to me shows a lot of respect, MOSTLY to some of the retro games. IMO, if someone ever wanted to present this OFFICIALLY to Nintendo and Miyamoto , I'm sure they can go along these lines and try to make a Mario anime for this day and age based off of this fun small video.

Re: Vote For Mushrooms Or Bananas In Nintendo UK's Mario Kart 7 Community Race Night

GBLUIGI

@Bulby & @HeatBombastic

Like I said before, and NOTE: I REALLY don't have nothing against Bananas. But my point I'm trying to point out is that even though Bananas are a great DAM item to use, after awhile, they tend to get a bit stale MOSTLY in defense for when you're trying to leave them out for your opponents to slip up on them on track. Yes, they make a great tool for when you have to heave them ahead of you trying to get someone ahead of you to trip up over them, but mostly with that, it's more of a game of chance to me. The only reason I like Mushrooms and vote towards that item is basically due to the reason that nowadays, it's mostly hard trying to play keep up with someone if you don't have one unless you catch a wind drift from them when you're up very close behind them.

Re: Shigeru Miyamoto Admits He Could Keep Working for "A Long Time"

GBLUIGI

For me, and I'm sure it goes the same for LOTS of gamers out there in the world also. I hold a nice TON of respect for Miyamoto for all the work he's done over the years. I mean, who doesn't like to sit down and play a game like Super Mario Bros. 3 , any The Legend Of Zelda game, Pikmin 1 or Pikmin 2 , or any other game for that matter made by him. The point I'm trying to put out is that from my point of view. I don't see any energy letting loose from Miyamoto any time soon in this lifetime AT ALL. If he does decide to retire like say in maybe 2 - 4 years from now, heck, that's his call if he wants to or not. But to me, I see him still staying on doing the work he does and still passing on all his knowledge to his teams for when the time comes when he does go. All in all for now, I see him going on as if he's got a Golden Mushroom in hand from Mario Kart that goes on without stopping any time soon.
