@shaneoh Curious? Pfft. I only paint in black and white, and use very broad strokes. o_O Ha! @Kalmaro those debates over there at Reddit are never-ending, to say the least.
@Untempered-Link I am very much interested in hearing the scenario that would possibly come up that putting a baby in a blender would help the human race. And how many people would you justify the life of an innocent newborn baby for?
@Kalmaro. Perhaps you need a definition of Material Goods. A somewhat derogatory term for goods and services, especially those considered unnecessary luxuries.... Now, would you classify food in that category? Unnecessary luxuries?
@shaneoh A starving man stealing from another starving man? Phew, that's a tough debate. One could also ponder why women and children didn't come up in your equation. Ha! J/k.
A man, woman or child would never have to steal food from me. I'll feed anyone in need. But if you try to take my material goods, well, that's a different story...
@Untempered-Link I think with each reply you make you're digging your hole deeper. You truly have a sense of entitlement. This is not knowledge that furthers the human race in any way. It is merely a gaming console, a machine for entertainment and nothing more. It's not like Nintendo is curing cancer and withholding how they did it.
While I don't agree with the logic of @Untempered-Link, I would also disagree with part of @TbobB's statement. Simply put, theft is okay when you're on the street, starving, and you see a loaf of bread for the takin'. Some countries even exempt you from consequences as food is and always should be a basic human right... But to steal goods such as gaming consoles? Nah. Anyone who argues such a stance needs their own material goods stolen from them time after time.
I shall remain Switched OFF until the actual library backs up these claims. I was burned too badly by the Wii U, especially the ridiculous delay of Zelda to make the Switch seem more appealing at launch.
I would also prefer to be able to buy the system without the dock, and have an XL model announced. Until then, yeah... Switched OFF
I just don't understand why Nintendo continues this program. The fact that they use their resources for such mediocrity is astounding.
If the whole rewards scheme would've been scrapped after the demise of Club Nintendo then we would've just heard grumbles initially... But now... Well, with this service it's an endless wave of disappointment. And with that comes more grumbling. Rightfully so, I might add.
And speaking of grumbles, Switch damn well better be region-free. For people like me who travel the world and live elsewhere from their home country, the 3DS is a sham. Whereas the DS was stellar.
Two things will make me upgrade to a New 3DS XL: 1. Price cut in the USA. 2. Either a SNES or N64 edition that's USA Region coded, as that's where all my cartridges are from even though I now live abroad so I can't purchase any new physical games. (Very stupid, Nintendo!)
Nintendo will have to sell their next system to me; I won't just blindly preorder it like systems past.
Mario-esque games are my favorite, but the Grade-A 1st party titles are just too few and far in between releases... and without much 3rd party support to fill in the gaps.
And please, no gimmick nonsense... just utilize the tech that you opt to use (I'm looking at you, Wii U controller).
Edit:
And to add further to this comment, with Zelda coming on Wii U, I think that will give a lot of us something to play for a good solid year (if not longer) so it shall be pretty easy to wait this next release out to see if it's actually worth the money.
Clearly the Wii U release, as well as the years that followed, were a disaster in terms of support and sales... but some of my favorite Nintendo games are for that system. Just not a enough of them.
So I shall wait.......
I'm still waiting for the New Nintendo 3DS Super Famicom Edition to head to the western regions. That would give me a reason to buy one... Alternatively, a N64 themed one.
I remember when people used to protest things that actually mattered. This is just... nonsense.
Corruption? Nah, we're good. Equal rights? Who needs that? A living wage? No worries; I'll be rich one day. Having trouble translating a video game? Take it to the street!
One millions downloads... yeah... then you have others like me who quickly deleted it after realizing how much of a joke the whole thing is.
I truly hope Nintendo succeeds, but this is not for grown-ups like myself, or for those who have a life and find virtual "farming" to be a complete waste of time.

Criminy! That's a lot of dollarydoos for something nobody needs.
Re: Yes, The Baby Shark Game Is Real And It Is Swimming Onto Switch This September
I think I'll wait for the sequel, Teenage Shark, when the sharks are wearing emo/goth attire and it's an open world RPG.

Can someone please tell me what flavor this is? The article failed to mention it, and I prefer my cardboard to taste like vanilla.
Re: Review: Splatoon 2 (Switch)
This is the moment when I finally stop trusting NL reviews and see their words for what they truly are... Biased hyperbole.
Re: Turns Out That Leaked Nintendo Switch Was Stolen And Illegally Resold
@Kalmaro perhaps you should visit r/trees and doze off until the haze clears and you wake up in March
Re: Turns Out That Leaked Nintendo Switch Was Stolen And Illegally Resold
@Untempered-Link it's funny you bring up this scenario because that's exactly what happened to my father... and now I don't have a sister.
