Disappointed by the lack of gamepad features. Off tv is fine but this game seems it could lend itself to the game pretty well.

@iphys Well, not everyone has 4 Wii mote pluses, so an extra wii mote plus is always welcomed.

Wii fit sold a lot of units and so this will appeal to those millions of people with a balance board already and Wii Fit U doen't need a balance board to be useful. The activity meter is enough to get use out of Wii Fit U.

The sensor bar is for new Wii U owners that dont have a wii or sold it. As the bundle says, 'Play Immediately Family Bundles'. You do not need to buy anything at all to get up and running once you buy the bundle.

If they can get a bundle out for xmas, it would be excellent.

@GN004Nadleeh Dude a 2 TB drive is like what? $50? it keeps down the price. Plus you think you wouldn't have to by one for the PS4 or Xbone? Their 500 GB is still not going to be enough especially with their streaming feature and movie service.

Those Pikmin 3 numbers are from 2 days of sales. The Pikmin and Pikmin 2 had more days in the first week. Plus downloading online was not an option for the first two either.

This is unfortunate. It was a great game and worthy of a buy. I was looking forward to a sequel. Honesly Nintendo should fund a sequel after the horrible launch of the Wii U.

Tell that to EA, late, bad, no DLC ports. NFS might be the exception.

Nintendo should have published this. MS has Forza and Sony has GT.

Both titles will have the same character roster and this may lead to less characters than one would expect. According to Sakurai, due to limitations on the 3DS, the team has been forced to reduce some characters.

Hence why I said the 3ds is dragging down the Wii U version.

Smash on the 3ds really isn't needed. As @Donjwolf said he doesn't have a Wii U and only a 3ds. People will buy the 3ds version over the Wii U.

@ChaosAngel Dude, this is the case of the lowest denominator.
For example. If it is impossible for them to add the ice climbers because it is two characters then they would not be added to the Wii U version also. If there is no 3ds version then the Wii U can only be limited by its own power.

It is pretty simple.

@ChaosAngel He said that the stages will be different but all the characters will be the same for both versions. The 3ds version is going to be limited in character roster and the type of characters also like ice climbers for example which is difficult to implement since it is two characters which means there will be 5 characters on screen which means a lot more processing power for the 3ds. This is just one example of the "dragging down" problem.

I also wonder what else would be scrapped because it can't be implemented for the 3ds version.

@Bucho Exactly, Smash isn't needed for the 3ds. The Wii U is the one that needs the games and going up against XBONE and PS4 is going to be tough and doesn't need it to be dragged down by the 3ds.

I think they should cancel the 3ds version. It is really limiting the Wii U version. Pretty unfortunate.

Now that Wii U games can be patched easily I dont see how bikes can break the game now. I wanted Mario Kart Double Dash 2. am cry.

Now that Mario Kart has video recording, add it to the OS and make it mandatory for every game.

Does any one else find it weird that they never talked about the summer update, os updates or miiverse updates? They need to stay toe to toe with the features of the other two OS.

It is cycle, release no games then complain there is no install base. The Wii U has been getting late/poor ports and they expect people to buy them.

A Nintendo exclusive? Interesting. I hope this brings in the younger demographics to the Wii U platform.

@Optimist_Prime When making a game you need some kind of support of the maker, especially if what people are saying is true about the lack of documentation of the WiiU dev kits. Come on man, you have to know they you need support when making a game.

Then in Japan Nintendo could not even get a game out for Golden Week.
I am just on the verge of saying love Nintendo and this console. I am just waiting for E3 to see if they really care or not. If E3 disappoints then love em.

I don't expect a 40 hour game at all. 8-10 for this sort of game is fine by me if it has replayability.

@TrickySx4 I admit I don't envy Nintendo because supporting two systems has to be tough. I am not sure if you own a Wii U but everyone that owns one feels abandoned. We are always hearing news about the 3ds for the last few weeks and the only news we are getting for the Wii U is indie games. April was suppose to be the big Wii U update and we were waiting for a Wii U direct for weeks now.

I know it has to be hard to support the 3DS and Wii U in so many different territories especially when each territory like different things but the Wii U is struggling really badly and that is so disappointing.

I honestly never got that comment. I play my Wii games on my Wii U to this day. Before my Wii U I played my Wii all the time for hours, good times. There are so many great games for it and yet people say they play it for 5 hrs and put it in a closet. Dust and Wii became a meme and people just said it on the internet to be cool or something, or people say they bought only Mario Galaxy 1 and 2 and never bought another game for it. WHAT?!? SMH. I understand that a certain group that bought a Wii and Wii sports, Wii fit, etc and not other games but that group would never buy a PS3 or 360 anyway. That group does not consist of gamers.

@P184 Leave the character count as it is. Miiverse isnt a forum to have meaningful conversation. There are many forums to do that and the Wii U has a broswer so do it there. Miiverse is for giving quick replys or encouragements to people that beat a level, etc. Not talking about discussion heavy topics.

I also do not like the tag system where anyone can create them. This isnt twitter either. Leave the tag system to game/application created ones like Mario and Tvii.

Let Miiverse be its own thing.

@Relylp I agree completely. One big game a month with smaller games littered in the month would do wonders for the WIi U.

@Mahe Make Wii Party U online with leaderboards and what not and make Wii Fit U as social as possible with as much miiverse interactions as possible and they will be a hit.
