The Wii U did vastly better than the 360 and ps3. The Wii U is not dropping but raising slightly in Japan with no games in 4 months. People are buying the system with no games. They are just waiting for a great games to be released to buy it. Dragon Quest X and Game and Wario is to be released. Lets wait and see the numbers.
You said the Wii U will pick up in xmas and BF3 is releasing on October close to the holiday season so why not release BF4?

You critisize Nintendo for using old IPs and the PS4 is releasing with Killzone and I am not sure when you left under your rock but MOST releases are sequels nowadays. BF4 is a sequel so what the hell is your point?
Nintendo released NSMBU so far wait atleast till a Zelda, 3d mario, smash, mario kart, etc until you cry that Nintendo franchises dont sell anymore. Plus NSMBU helped the Wii U out sell the 360 and ps3 at launch.

The Wii outsold the xbox 360 and PS3 at launch and the Wii U outsold them also.
The Wii U sold so much in the beginning cause the Wii's tail end sales were dead, so lots of people bought the Wii U. The problem I see is that the 360 and ps3 is still so popular, publishes are still going to be releasing games for them and thier successors are so similar also it is going to be hard to convince people to buy them. Yes there is hype for it but that doesn't mean anything. Gamers are fickle.

This time around both consoles seem to releasing extremely close to eachother. They are going head to head this time around and if they sell for 500+ then sales are going to be brutal since they will be competing with the 360 and ps3.
I also believe that unlike the transition between the ps2 and ps3 and xbox and xbox 360 publishes are going to be releasing games on the xbox360 and ps3 a lot longer which makes adoption rate even slower. The Ps3 and Xbox is still selling a a lot in the tail end of this generation.

Being close to PC internals does not mean that you code for PC and run it on the PS4 and NextBox. It doesnt work that way. There is a lot more to it. It is not Cell type of developing but easier doesnt mean that. I do not think you know how developing games works. Plus there are many accounts that state that the Wii U is easy to develop for. The Ps4 and Nextbox will not have mature dev kits out like the Wii U so they have to put more time in and also get used to the new systems. Put Criterion on the Wii Uport, they have experience with the Wii U. They have to up port it with more flashy features etc which is more money and time for the new console also.

Good job Sony on having a price drop with releasing a high profile game but the 3ds is only about 2000 behind and one lonely new game in the charts and everyone and thier grandmother has one. Wii U as usual needs games badly.

The Wii U actually went up this week from 9.633 with no new big releases in months. People want a reason to buy the Wii U but there are no games at all. This is so frustrating to see. The next game is March 28th with Game and Wario and March 30th with Dragon Quest X. So three weeks again with no new release plus I doubt those games can do much sales anyway.
This is unfortunate, I think nintendo should have picked up the slack to port this to the eshop. The guy seem genuine and he had to get pass all the bullpoop the Wii shop had. I am buying it today. I hope he continues to release products on Nintendo's console.
@Brotagonist The problem with GTA is that with every new sequel it get more and more realistic and fun gets thrown out and the game just gets boring after the OMG graphics wears off. LCU cares only about fun.
The quirky dialogue, hanging from a chickens and flying over the city, riding pigs, wall running, movie and video game references thrown in, etc. All fun.
Don't get me wrong GAT is great but for pure fun, LCU has it at the core. .
I really hope this game is good. It looks like it is leagues better than GTA in the fun factor department. I can't wait. Preordered at Bestbuy with MH3U using thier buy 1 get 1 50% off deal. Great times ahead.
Cost of the PS4 is going to be a big factor tho $400 - I think Nintendo is in trouble $450 - They have a chance $500 - Definately chances are good $550+ - Nintendo will be sitting good and if there is a paywall then Nintendo will be a great force.
It is going to be tough because MS and Sony can easily rely on graphics to sell games. As soon as games see particle effects and polygons they go googly eye. Killzone looks great but the gameplay is the same as the others. Also I am not sure if it is just me but I am getting sensory overload when games have so much poop going on. Nintendo does have to worry tho, they need to try twice as hard as the other consoles.
Honestly I would love Nintendo to release games if the third parties aren't. No TW13 then release Mario Golf. No Rayman then release Yoshi and so on....

They litterally said they game is finished on Wii U but we are going shelve it for 7 months, which is going head to head with other AAA games including GTA, two weeks before the previous release date? Come on man. I am not buying this game but will buy Monster Hunter, atleast it stayed Nintendo exclusive, and lego city undercover to show Ubisoft what a mistake they made. Screw Rayman.

@Blaze Why reward a company with this stunt? They litterally said they game is finished on Wii U but we are going shelve it for 7 months, which is going head to head with other AAA games including GTA, two weeks before the previous release date? Come on man. I am not buying this game but will buy Monster Hunter, atleast it stayed Nintendo exclusive, and lego city undercover to show Ubisoft what a mistake they made. Screw Rayman.
