So you made fun of the descriptors throughout the article, yet neglected to tell us what the actual rating is. Well done. It's E-10+, by the way, for those who don't want to click the link near the top. Just think it would've made sense to actually include this info in the text.
Apologies for being that guy early on a Monday, but it's "hordes" of zombies, not "hoards". As for me, I'm interested to see samples of the SSB DLC before buying.
@brutalpanda This is true, and definitely better than nothing, but it doesn't quite make up for the happiness of thinking that I had managed to sneak in a pre-order when they were selling out everywhere else.
FYI - just had mine cancelled, too, and I only ordered one. So the initial report/reaction that it was only duplicates is NOT the case. I'm going to be calling them at some point to figure out what's going on, but I am not happy at the moment. Wanted to pass along the info, though.
Surprised no one else has picked up, but I have a theory on Lana. Blue hair, power of the Deku Tree and other spirits perhaps (?)... Could be a play on Lanayru, from Skyward Sword, and she will be a descendent of the Goddesses. I'm looking forward to seeing more info (and playing the game, obviously!).
@Phantom_R Seriously! What's up with exclusive cards and pieces now??
Also, if the Ocarina is a GameStop exclusive piece, and Monopoly is 2-6 players, what does the 6th player use if you buy it somewhere else? Ridiculous.
After the problems I had with the Wind Waker special edition being a GS exclusive, I really wish Nintendo would stop dealing with them only. Bad for business and consumer relations IMO.
Totally thought from initial info that the set of 3 cards was going to be $10 total. But $10 each? No way. I have my giant AR card from Club Nintendo that I don't use already. I'll stick with that one.
FYI it shows up on the second page of the "Applications" button on the eShop (bottom row, all the way to the right). Not sure if I'm willing to drop $10 for three cards, but figured I'd download it anyway in case they charge for the app later.
I hope for their sake they don't run into any copyright stuff with 343 Industries. That stuff about the Infinity being the largest ship in the fleet should sound pretty familiar to any Halo fans out there. I am a big fan of Mirror's Edge, though, so I'll be keeping a lookout for this one.
Totally not excited for the $8 price tag, and also the fact that I have half of these on my 3DS from the Ambassador Program already. That said, I'll probably get both versions of Mario 3 (Wii U at the $1 discount, too).
@brewsky Don't forget about the friction-less puck code, too. Take a slap shot wide and watch it go bouncing around the ice without slowing down. Crazy! I loved this game as a kid, played so many "Olympic" tournaments against the computer. Granted I haven't booted it up in a while, and I agree with others that $5 is way too much nowadays, but it's still great fun.
Runner 2 is fun so far, but I already got it for my 360 when it was on sale for half that price a few weeks ago. If you only have a Wii U, it's worth checking out though. Fun music and addictive gameplay.
On more than one occasion I've asked the staff at Nintendo World in NYC if they sold the music/remixes they play overhead on disc, and I've been told most of it is just online stuff that the company doles out for the store. I would but those versions in a heartbeat, in addition to official copies. Good points!
I have a feeling they'll release SMB3 around when this comes out (finally!) since for the last one they had an eShop section for games featured in Remix. Here's hoping, at least. I'm excited.
I really want today's Direct to be Reggie and Iwata trolling. "Lolz we just wanted to see your reactions to this crappy download list, so here's Mario 3. You're welcome."
I wrote about this on another site just before the Wii U was released. I really hope that they do it with the GamePad as the bottom screen and the TV as the top, though. If it's all on the GamePad all the time, that wouldn't really be worth it. Especially with the plethora of DS/3DS systems in my house.
Don't forget that here in the US, Mario Kart Wii comes bundled with the new Wii Mini. Though it's not a huge seller, it still caught a lot of attention at holiday time with the $99 price tag. Heck, if you break it down: Wii remote = $40, nunchuck = $20, MK Wii = $40... you're basically getting the system for free.
Anyone else notice Blind at the end of the NA commercial? Between that and the Moldorm I'm wondering how many bad guys are going to be reappearing. Though I do love LTTP so it's not really a bad thing.

Re: Nintendo Confirms Broadcast Time for January Switch Event
Why does your article state 10pm ET (US), when the picture directly below that clearly states 11pm ET?

Re: Video: The First Thirty Minutes Of The Best 3DS Action Game You've Never Played
I hate to burst your bubble from your opening line, but this game isn't "like" Lost Planet, it IS Lost Planet. A spin-off of the main series.
