After having played the game all the way through,
my thoughts are summarized as this.
pros: Multiplayer. I like the panel system, enjoy that Keyblades now specialize in different attributes of combat instead of simply being stat boosters
and the original bosses are a blast.
Cons: no mission variety, repetitive enemy recolors all over the place that can take way too much punishment and a story that doesn't pick up until near the end makes for a game that ultimately becomes a chore to play.

This, Super Star and 64 are competing for the title of my favorite Kirby game.
Super star is up there because I enjoyed that abilities now had movesets,
This I enjoyed for how each helper have different abilities
64 did something similar with the feature of outright mixing together abilities.
I'm leaning towards this game though.

This one is up there with Wario Land 2 and Link's Awakening as some of my favorite GB games. the way you gradually traverse the planet makes the lack of a map less of an issue than the original without having the areas be too small a la Fusion. The control is undeniably more solid and the powerups are ballin'. Graphics are pretty dang good as well for what it is.
The hunting for Metroids are quite addictive as well in the 'just gonna find one more' way.
The few issues I do have are the lack of music, bosses and that one too many missile expansion is outright given to you. I assume this is deliberate since you live and die by missiles in this game, but still.

And Revelations goes unnoticed by the masses as usual.
It was the most survival-horror the series has ever been since the classics,
and I feel my heart ache every time I see someone complain that every game starting with 4 have emphasized more and more on action and they hope a game with the creeps and atmosphere of old will come around one day.
