@Koffeeking0407 I can't agree with that. Look at Dead or Alive 5, it's a fast, fun and easily accessible fighter with enough depth to please the competitive FGC. But by your logic, because it has bikini skins as DLC, that invalidates every good design choice. That just seems ignorant to be frank.
He said he hasn't played a lot of Metroid, so why is him not remembering enemy names a big deal? I love the Strider series, yet I don't know what any of the mooks are called, does that make me stupid?
Love the game and you'd think a more boost-focused, larger scale and much more challenging alternative to Mario Kart would sell like sliced bread over in Japan.
This is what I consider to be the real Sonic the Hedgehog 4 as it builds upon the foundation 3 and K by adding a new character and features level design in the same style as the classics which Dimps gradually deviated from starting with Sonic Advance 2.
@BAGBOY Come on, Sonic JUST recently had two great games released (Colors/Generations), are we still shouting "PLEASE DIE SONIC!"? It's pretty much a separate brand with a different developer anyways, so why get worked up about this?
Really, with the game being separate from the rest of the Sonic brand, released alongside a TV show, not getting a release in Japan and being developed by a pretty much unknown developer, I fail to see this is anything more than another TV/movie tie-in game.
I'd rather have GBA games on either consoles, but I'm not inherently against this change of pace. Still, will we be able to have the upper screen on the TV and the lower on the pad, if so, what about games that doesn't use touch controls at all? Will we be able to put 'em together on the TV like pictured for the pad as well?
This sucks, I mean... there are just no other words right now.
I was so looking forward to this one, and because of the region-lock,
this means I'll probably never get to play it.
I'm starting to worry a lot for the future of SMT IV,
but at least we know Ghostlight does go the extra length to release something, even if it's just for those who have already preordered.
@shinokami Well, why not publish the book then? You've got a translator of a cult-classic with a bunch of dedicated fans willing to do all the work himself, so it would be easy quick money.
I don't think this review really does the game justice, Sonic 3's levels are extremely expanded compared to Sonic 2. Both in length and design complexity and it's just overall an endlessly replayable game because of the large amount of alternate routes, especially when taking Tails into consideration
They actually begun importing DS, Vita and PS3 titles at my local GAME,
it's actually really neat since, with shipping costs, their offerings are usually just as good, just without the wait.
They've also been selling third-hand accessories for older video-game systems, which I appreciate.
Please be about localization plans for Harvest Moon Connect to a New World! The sooner it gets over to the US, the sooner we in Europe can begin our most likely year-long wait for our version.
This is my entry into the franchise and I am so happy it came to Europe. What can I say? I wanted something nice, relaxing and was tired of killing things.
I'm rather annoyed that the Nu52 skin is in the pack when you have to spend so much time unlocking it in the actual game. Feels like a waste since I never cared much for the achievements, which is now the only reward for finishing all the Most Wanted quests.
It's not quite the radical expansion City was, but I enjoyed my time with the game. The Gothic Christmas atmosphere is pulled off phenomenally in spite of how large the world is and the characterization between Bruce and Alfred just makes my inner comic-book geek squee. I've heard the WiiU version is the most stable one by a good margin.
Batman: Arkham Origins (PC version). Not the most inspired entry, but it's fun and fresh enough. Unfortunately, the PC version is rather buggy at times.
Playing 2 and 3 back to back, I must say that 3 is definitely my favorite. Aside from the fact that Mega Man has finally cleaned up to goop under his mega-boots and stopped slipping and sliding, the level designs are just so solid in design barring a certain segment in Snake Man's stage. Plus getting to keep your E-Tanks after death is always welcome.
Been sick this week so I've been playing through Kirby's Nightmare in Dreamland, Kirby 64 and Kirby's Dream Land 2 as well as Super Mario Bros 3 and Super Mario World.
@Captain_Gonru Well, physical releases go out of print eventually too, especially in Europe. Like Kirby games that aren't Mass Attack or Epic Yarn for example. Can't really speak for digital releases when they're tied to consoles and not users though.
@Mommar "It's like everyone think we're doing something horrible now, but in the long run it'll be a good thing" They're not saying that killing babies ever turn out to be a good thing, only that what they're doing right now seems bad akin to "killing a baby" "kicking a puppy" etc. but it'll have good results in the future. It's a really awkward sentence to be sure.
The European release completely caught me by surprise, so I picked it up on the way home today. Still have to finish Persona 2 Eternal Punishment before playing this though.
@leon_x The keyword here, as many pointed out, is money. You can't expect to ask for money for something related to an IP you don't actually own and assume the company who does own it won't take action.
If the games are sold for about the same price you get used online, I don't see why it's such an issue that they acquire these games and sell them in-store for the same price. My local GAME store sell imported Vita games for a bit extra to accommodate for the shipping prices and I'm perfectly fine with that.
@Emblem "but i'll be waiting for 3DS overclocked version."
That's the thing though, I feel it's important to support ghostlight by showing that there is a demand for SMT titles over here after all the games they've brought over for us. Or else we might lose them, and with it the only relatively-stable source for SMT for us Europeans that has backed the series from the very beginning of its US exposure.
I already have it through importing, however I pre-ordered all the same to support Ghostlight since they've done such a great job giving Europe SMT titles like Nocturne, the Digital Devil Sagas, the Persona series and of course Devil Survivor.
I love Ghostlight for their EU SMT support, but this is just not worth it with the 3DS remake on the horizon and the original release being readily importable.
