When you really think about it, Link is a bit of nuisance. Throughout the The Legend of Zelda series he may have rescued princesses and saved entire worlds from destruction, but he's also broken a heck of a lot of pots in the process - sometimes for no other reason than to let off some steam.
This worrying habit is the focus of an amazing video from YouTube collective freddiew, who bill themselves as "cool dudes making sweet vids with rad FX!"
That title is certainly true here, as the video boasts some amazing visual effects which apparently took an entire month to research and develop.
By the way, the Link in this video is played by violinist Lindsey Sterling - be sure to check out her YouTube channel as well.

When I saw this article, I thought it was gonna be Smosh who made it.
I guess I was wrong.
Oh, the horror...
lol
Cool Vid, but most importantly l can watch this video through the Wii U. How is that possible when the rest of Youtube is dog....?
I like how wonderfully mischievous she looks!
And the guard, priceless!
Every Ocarina of Time player knows and loves this room. Always a great place to rinse for rupees!
@AbsoluteJew Youtube works if it's embedded. If you go to Youtube and open any video, then change watch?v= to embed/ in the url, it will work.
Hey link you forgot some rupees
If memory serves correctly, didn't the guard ask for you to stir up trouble by breaking the pots? Hilarious video nonetheless, poor guard.
I love Lindsey Stirling, and her music. She really looks like she would be fun to hang out with. Be sure to check out her Legend of Zelda Medley done on her violin. It's awesome.
They did use a female version of Link in the BS Zelda titles.
This is so true. Link's obsession with smashing pots, and how each house magically regenerates its pots when he comes back.
Fun movie! As for the guard: Lol!
For some reason Link is probably the only video game character girls can dress up as without it looking very weird. Links clothes is kinda gender neatrual if you think about it...
Ha! Well done.....funny.....awe, good times!
This is awesome and so is Lindsey stirling.
So amazing! Very good production value for something like this. It made it very enjoyable.
I LOVE smashing pots in Zelda! This is exactly how I feel when I play Zelda. I can not walk by a pot and without breaking it. The little things bring so much joy!
Lindsey! Lindsey! LIndsey!
I can never sing her praises enough. Seriously, check out her YT channel, she is effing awesome.
@Tetsuo_808 yep true enough
oh the look on the gards's face
I see I'm not the only one who always wears the water tunic.
@steamhare ikr it had to be the best tunic least as soon as i got it thats all i would wear ^-^
but lol rly like this vid it does show exactly what would come to mind when going into that room ^_^ i would just charge and move to a spot to try to get the most pots xD fav part has to be ar 0:49
freddiew does tons of good work like this! Good work!
I expected her to pick up at least one and throw it, maybe into another one.
Haha, definitely the best live-action Zelda fan-made video I've ever seen.
Funny thing, this is no doubt made with that guard's room at the Hyrule Castle Town's Drawbridge in mind, but that guard actually encouraged Link to smash all the pots!
@Tetsuo_808 - That room is a fine spot to pick-up some quick Rupees, but my favorite method is to jump off the top of the drawbridge's chain to collect those two red Rupees hidden in mid-air.
@RevolverLink
There's actually three red Rupees up there! One of them is in the middle between the two chain links, you have to jump off the right way to be able to reach it.
If you try a rolling jump, Link will not jump far enough to reach it.
Fantastic special effects, it's hard to believe those pots aren't real in some of the shots. The behind-the-scenes video was pretty cool too. I spent way too much time in that room....
Rofl! She's adorable!
They should hire her and officially make link female whatsoever!
Nice.
Well, this is just what I feel like when smashing pots in Zelda. I always feel sorry for the owners too (like when you destroy some inside a house that belongs to people Link doesn't even know). Nice video, she makes a cute Link.
... hot lady!
Loved the video! ^^
@RupeeClock - Well, you learn something new everyday!
MY GOD THE GUARD'S FACE.
PRICELESS.
Remember going in that room and grinding money over and over, sometimes even when I didn't need to buy anything. Location looks great, nice costume, casting and effects too. Were there pots still in there after ghost bottling stuff started?
This reminds me of how often Peter Pan is played by a girl on stage.
**Sigh** It would be nice to make Link's gender optional like Shepherd in the Mass Effect series and the hero in Fable 2 and 3.
effects are amazingly well made !
ncie actress too hahaha
The lady who played Link is incredibly beautiful.
Funny little video,I guessed the video was gonna end like that.
@SanderEvers I'm not sure I'm reading you correctly, but what's so wrong with a girl rescuing a princess? If romance is an issue, I think the gaming world is ready for lesbians.
Great video! Haha the guard's face is priceless.
And who cares that a girl is playing Link in this video? Seeing as she's basically playing "make believe" I really don't see how her being a girl matters in this video. It was made for fun, she's just playing a part. Besides it's not uncommon for a girl to play a boy or a young man. For example, Peter Pan is traditionally played by a girl.
Lol, Lindsey Sterling is the best xD
