Re: Mega Man 9 Official Box Art

This is great:
Dr. Light telling Megaman, that he didn't do this in a while,
the Secret of Wily's bank number,
and finally the return of the awful covers of the 8Bit era.

Re: Air Zonk

The final level is surprisingly epic and the final boss is just insane. This is one of the best Shoot-them-ups on the VC.

Re: ActRaiser

Yes, the last level isn't very entertaining, fighting stronger versions of the six main bosses again. Kinda like Megaman.
Surprisingly the final boss is quite easy.

Re: Soldier Blade

Hard to understand that this is a 8-Bit game. Seriously one of the best vertical shoot-em-ups EVER.

Re: Ninja Gaiden II: The Dark Sword of Chaos

I know it was released in Europe.
But the first Ninja Gaiden was released in the first Hanabi Festval.
Then it was my guess, that Tecmo/Nintendo will release the second one in the next Hanabi Festval. That didn't happen, instead we have got a lot of Shmups.

Re: Gley Lancer

Has anybody played the european version so far?
Does it have the typical borders?
This may sound stupid, but I heard on another website, that while it is an Import game there are still the "PAL Issues"?
Can anybody confirm this?

Re: Star Parodier

It is a good game, a really good game.
Also perfect for Shmup beginners, as there are few really difficult parts like the speed section in the final level or the last battle itself.
The humor is great too, for example the Bomberman level or the final boss, which is basically a parody of this final boss of Super Star Soldier.
It also has a Battle mode, which is mostly the same as the upcoming WiiWare game. But here the two levels (each with their own boss) are a bonus, not the whole game.
If you like cute Shmups buy it.
I prefer it over Parodius (SNES) and Pop'n Twinbee.

Re: Metal Slug

The borders are even worse in most NES games because much of the screen is already taken up by informations like points, health and so on. In the end this makes the main game really small.
The Hanabi edition of Ninja Gaiden was an huge improvement over all other NES games I had seen so far. Why can't they all be like that? Why?

Re: Cho Aniki

This game looks a lot like Gynoug (Mega Drive), with its merging of man and machine, maybe a bit less "ugly" than Gynoug.

Re: Star Soldier R

CopyofCopyX

Seems to lack a lot of content, compared to other games you can get for 800 points:
Lords of Thunder
Gate of Thunder

Re: Alien Soldier

CopyofCopyX

I'm also disappointed. The graphics and animations are great but the controll is overly complicated, the difficulty is EVIL and the game is just not as entertaining as Gunstar Heroes.

Re: Soldier Blade

CopyofCopyX

Really good shooter, hard but not as evil as other shooters.
And finally a Soldier game which doesn't has this brain thing as the final boss.

Re: Final Soldier

CopyofCopyX

Right before the final boss you get this wierd message:

Warning!!
Ultimate Enemy approching

Nice name for the last boss.

Re: Double Dragon

CopyofCopyX

An entertaining little game.
I still remember beating the two Abobos in the third level and walking past the cave, causing the level to loop!!

Re: Mega Man 2

CopyofCopyX

This is, in my opinion, the BEST 8-Bit Megaman game, even better than Megaman 3.
And it certainly not that difficult, for a game on the NES and around Megaman anyway.

Re: Mega Turrican

CopyofCopyX

Hmpf.
Like most PAL Mega Drive Games the borders are huge!!!
Sega should really try to reduce that, comparing this to the Sega Mega Drive Collection is quite sad...
